With the middle top one that kinda looks like the flag colors of the USA, if Geno wore that in battle, I can imagine him quoting the anime/manga character, All-Might, by saying, "I am here!".

Yeah, between the new SKUs, the Splatoon 2 update next week, and the Switch firmware update, I'm convinced there's definitely gonna be a Direct next week.
Sit tight, boyos. We got a lot to look forward to.

It's worth pointing out that the Splatoon 2 patch next week is just a balance patch and the more substantial patch would seem to be the April one, so it might not quite lineup as well with that one as some people initially thought.

Also, unrelated to you, but I do think Geno could just as easily be paired up with someone at an E3 2020 reveal since I do think they'll try to push for at least one fan favorite per wave of DLC, and that worked really well at last year's E3. So, if he doesn't show up immediately, it's not the end of the world.

I personally prefer Galaxy's tone and atmosphere, while I think Galaxy 2 has a smidge better level design (especially with Yoshi). The games are pretty equal in my eyes.

I've always preferred Super Mario Galaxy 2 since I feel it has superior level design and the mechanics and power-ups it introduced (Yoshi and his power-ups, Cloud Mario, Rock Mario) were better than the ones in the first game (Bee Mario, Ice Mario, Boo Mario, Spring Mario). That's not to disrespect the first game though, like you said it has a higher-stakes tone and the levels were still pretty well-designed. Both games together also have one of the best OSTs in the franchise and had some really fun boss battles.

I've bought this up many times, but a costume not showing up so far has 0 indication of what's going to be a character in the future. Heck, they could give us a costume in this FP and just make the character in the next FP if they really wanted to.

Also I doubt ALL the big nonreturning costumes will get a playable character. Like I doubt Geno, Heihachi, Gil, Lloyd, Chocobo, Monster Hunter, and certain other costumes will all be playable characters next.

ALSO, also; Remember that they held off some of the most popular AT's in Smash until the last direct; and then disconfirmed some big fan-favorites then, so it's not unusual for them to hold back info to stir up speculation.

Besides that there is much we don't know about Nintendo's plans and decisions when it comes to these things. They could end up releasing all the fan-favorite costumes from 4 alongside FP 5, as some sort of bonus pack/DLC's.

We could always take potshots at what might be in it. This is Nintendo's first Direct of the year, so they've probably decided to start strong and open up with something BIG.

First off, that new Switch firmware update. Then the Splatoon 2 update. Those are I think for certain.
Outside of that, we only have our own baseless predictions. I'll start.

Challenger Pack 5 for Smash.

Metroid Prime 4 teaser, perhaps? If it hasn't had enough time to cook since development restarted, then we'll get nothing. I'm sure of that. It's safer to not count on seeing this, but if it does appear, it will be a pleasant surprise.

A few games we haven't heard of yet.
