You know, its kind of funny when you think about all that has happened since the last month or two...and something clicked.

For the most part, the CacoMallow leak is still alive. It is possible to make the hats/add some jiggles, but NO ONE has claimed to have made them. So we just shelved it for awhile.

Fast forward to present and we are getting an absurd amount of names that are NOT Fighter 5. There is a lot of noise going on and I am of the belief that this is deliberate. Just to hide who the fighter is....but allow me to flip the script.

Lets combine the former with what is happening now. We have this "leak" that certainly points to who it could be. Now if I were Nintendo and I saw this, I would be pretty peeved. But you cannot take it down because THEN everyone would start connecting the dots "The videos are down! IT IS GENO AND DOOMGUY!" So it would have been obvious and now we have Pokemon Sw and Sh leaks to deal with...****!

Alright...keep the videos up, but lets make some noise. Lets start feeding our people with information that is not true. Keep people guessing and MAYBE they will not even consider that video (CacoMallow) viable.

This is something that just clicked in my head, but that is all it is...a theory.

What are some deconfirmed characters you want to be promoted other than Geno and Waluigi, guys? Can be a Spirit, an Assist Trophy and/or a Mii Costume, but I can only select a few to put in my next meme (I'll put the others in the backburner for a possible later one, though).

There is, but it also sounds very 4D chess-like, so I definitely won't bet on it lol. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that did happen while simultaneously doubting it.

That said, Jon vs. Sabi/Verge? My bets are on Jon, especially with the uncertainty of Verge and the wishy-washiness of Sabi. Where's the popcorn?!

At this point it seems like FP5 rumors/leaks are being engineered to highlight the flaws in the insider community. They keep hopping from one possibility to another and with each one it seems like no one public facing really knows anything for sure. I think if they did they would have given a stronger hint to something by now. It really feels like too much of a coincidence that after the Terry leak and SWSH leaking that insiders are being inundated with false leads. This all feels very intentional.

I'd take that stance too if I didn't feel doom was a massive stretch without something tangible to back it up. It would fit pretty well though if that was the case doom is a perfect character to show to the game awards audience.

Oh yeah this is getting good. I can see it now, probably by Tuesday Verge is gonna say a name.

And then Sabi will disagree.

Then there’ll be scrambling to cover bases, and then Thursday will be the reveal and it’ll be someone neither of them said, probably someone they deconfirmed. And then the madness will be over.

Who will it be? I do honestly think it might be the one world-ending character who would break down all the fan rules we’ve built up.

Also not to get too tinfoily on it but kind of crazy for someone who is a part of a channel that is closely aligned with Nintendo on a basically official basis would specifically call out two leakers. Especially two of the most notorious current leakers when it comes to Nintendo stuff specifically. Especially considering one of them got a legal warning from Nintendo and has been gingerly trying to avoid any direct statement that could get them legally reamed. If I was Nintendo and couldn’t outright get Sabi to stop on a legal basis creating mistrust and discord through fake information thereby screwing with his apparent legitimacy and the attention that brings to his statements would be a good way to go about it.

I mean, i can't wrap my head around the absurd Laundrey List of decomfirmed reps Vergeben has. How is it possible to know how many characters are NOT F5, while at the same time having no idea who F5 is?

Who we have left/what companies we have left:
-CD Projekt Red (Geralt from Witcher 3)

If you're putting in Geralt, might as well put in Goku as a likely character; Geralt originated in books, and The Witcher games are pretty much set after the books (regardless of what the actual author says) and they are in the exact same world.

Before anyone mentions Dracula:
-The castlevania version of the character is far removed from the actual books.
-The character has been in the public domain for quite some time.

Also put in TYPE-MOON (Saber) as character that is possible. It IS really unlikely, but we've pretty much disconfirmed all the front runners and FATE is huge in Japan; and even has a big fanbase in America.

This might be a bit out there but I haven’t seen this talked about before; what if the final pass character is Master Hand? He’s briefly playable in the WoL anyway, and a critical character to the series. If we operate under the assumption that it was originally only supposed to be 5 DLC characters and that’s it, wouldn’t making the longest running boss playable be an interesting swan song?

Yeah, I wanted her Smash incarnation to represent some key parts of her legacy: the original arcade, the gameboy remake of it, the Mario vs DK series (which brought her back to current Mario media) and Odyssey.

I feel my moveset concept does quite represent parts of these games quite well.

Yeah Jon I think does have insider information. But dang he only uses it for predictions and stuff on GameXPlain. Definetly interesting this is all coming out.

Nah man, Jon is right. Insiders nowadays mostly seek attention and this entire game with guessing which company is still relevant for the 5th fighter is getting ridiculous. If you know a name, why don't you mention it? It happened when we just began speculating on the 1st DLC fighter.

I know that Sabi might get into real troubles if their name is legit, but that's also Sabi's fault for literally announcing that they're going to spoil the entire Nintendo E3 presentation beforehand and then getting a cease and desist letter. If you seriously need to leak something, turn on VPN and go to 4chan, you don't really need the attention :^)

You know, someone mentioned Captain N a little while ago, and I actually legitimately want him in Smash. He's technically not a video game character, but he's much in the same category as ROB, where he was created purely to promote the NES and I think he'd be okay because of that. ..Not to mention that the N-Team is almost entirely recreated in Ultimate as it is, save for Duke and Lana. At the very least, I really want a Mii Gunner costume that wields an NES blaster as a weapon. Doesn't even have to be wearing the school jacket or anything.
