I think about that whenever people suggest characters with vehicles or mounts, if they’re too small they’d look weird but if they’re scaled “right” they’d be huge

With so many characters and companies being disconfirmed, the last character is going to be Elma because of the XCX music royalties issue that held Hero/Dragon Quest back from being basegame. Fits the Vifram figure that we still don't know what it was meant for, fits the timeline as Elma was almost-definitely in contention for the promo character spot that Corrin took in SM4SH, fits the cryptic references in her XC2 DLC about "everybody finally being together", fits Thank You Theory as a means of thanking Monolith Soft for all the support they lent towards both SM4SH and Ultimate's development, fits the recent discovery that XCX was in the game and intentionally removed from the files like those 2 Rare games at some point, fits the timeline for both Sawano's secret music project from last year that hasn't been revealed yet and Caitlin Glass's (Elma's VA) secret project that's under NDA that we don't know what it is yet.

Elma was intended to be in the basegame and either cut entirely or pushed back to DLC, that's my speculation.

I guess all the people who kept telling us to get outside and enjoy life instead of obsessing about a game were on to something after all...good thing for me someone else took their advice so I could stay inside and obsess about a game and more specifically an obscure character who could wind up in said game.

Starlow could be Mrs Geno, she’s a Star Sprite right? Or Star Spirit, I lose track of which it is.
Actually I can imagine some fun comedic stuff with stoic badass Geno and super sassy Starlow

EDIT: Starlow is a Star Sprite, the Star Spirits are the specific seven stars from Paper Mario, and they (and Geno) are all stars. Thanks MarioWiki

Maybe it's because it's the end of the Fighter Pass, but Fighter 5 feels like they're done and ready to go and just being held onto arbitrarily because they have no obligation to get them to us any sooner than February. Might be because after Joker, it was "here's a character and here's another" and then "now he's out here's another" and we were left high and dry with Terry.

Namco and Capcom are reportedly out the window. The possibility that the character that insiders have been told is leakbait has come up. Chaos reigns. It’s Fatman’s birthday.

Capcom has been deconfirmed by Nazyrus, a person a lot of people in Sabi's discord vouch for. So now discussion over who it could be now is really heating up

Names being thrown around right now are: Sora, Kratos, A misc Sony rep, Sol Bad Guy, Waluigi... it's wild

What drama? There was a lot of drama going on last night in the social thread people telling me Fatmanonice was a liar and kept telling me he got stuff wrong. I kept telling them that he was just speculating like all of us, but had a tiny bit of inside knowledge from Sabi's NoA source but definitely wasn't a insider or leaker.

Capcom's bringing several unknown titles to Jump Festa in a few weeks. I'm not sure what kind of audience that has (or how often M-rated games get shown there), but a Resident Evil 3 remake could be one of them.

Oh no one specifically, Fatman just brought up that last VGA’s Nintendo’s own staff received gaming magazines with Samus on the cover, implying that Metroid Prime would be shown off in some manner and, well, it didn’t and those were fake, so we’ve been tossing around the idea that whatever character the insiders think is character 5 might be bait. Also the idea of the character order being shifted came up, so maybe the character who was 5 is now 6. Something similar seemingly happened with Joker, everyone thought Hero would come first in inside circles.
