I just remembered, Doom Eternal was set to release in November originally but it got delayed to March 2020. I wonder if Doomguy was supposed to line up with the release of that game? Kinda makes me more hopeful for all this coming together. :shades:

Even if the costumes somehow turned out to be fake, the fact we're getting a 45 minute presentation is going to be gigantic for Ultimate either way you look at it.

Something I thought about just now. You know how... in Super Mario RPG, the star spirit that descends upon the Geno doll does so around late at night (or dawn), and the next day everyone wakes up to the doll missing, and Mario finding him in the Forest? Crazy how we'll be getting a "presentation" early in the morning (late at night in Japan) and well... following the SMRPG train of thought... hehe... :shades:

Frogger actually wouldn't bother me. Sure, it's a long dead franchise, but it's an arcade legend.

Hey guys just popping to say I hope the livestream is finally your time. I truly want Ultimate to be the Smash game that gives us all the big fan legacy requests and hopefully Geno will join K Rool, Ridley, and Banjo off that list on Wednesday, with Isaac and Waluigi joining soon after.

45 minutes..... this is crazy that more time than literally any other and unlike those we have 0 base game to show off and explain to take up time. I think a little time might be given to a new terry mode but the HAVE to have something more... oh wait...

Keep a SHARP eye on any legitimate leakers. They should know more info tomorrow if not now already. Either that or they are all within sniping range of ninteninjas. This crazy ride is about to get even crazier I feel.

With the Frogger text leak, I’m reminded of that character that Fatmanonice Fatmanonice said was being talked about that people thought was a comparably “WTF” pick to Piranha Plant.

Gadies, Lentlemen. Let us pray that we don't end up shunted further along the bad timeline. Let us hope that The upcoming direct turns out to be a positive mirror of last year's november direct. Where there was disappointment, let there be excitement. But take heart. If things don't go our way, we have to keep up the fight.

Given that this is the longest Smash Bros. presentation yet, I can't even begin to imagine how annoyed people would be if it only focuses on Terry, his music, his stage, and some SNK Mii costumes.

Mind you, with it being a 45 minute presentation and all, I'd find it hard to believe if they didn't announce the fifth Fighters Pass character here at the very least. I'm hoping for Doomguy and Geno to be legitimate (they're two of my three most wanted characters at this point), though I have a hard time fully trusting any supposed leak unless it's something as comprehensive as the ESRB leak from Smash 4. (even video evidence isn't a guarantee, as ArtsyOmni made very clear)

So...here we are. We’ve gotten BTFO’d TWICE during this speculation cycle so far, once at the direct last year, and the second time during Hero’s reveal. Yet here we are, back again for what seems like the goal in sight. Even if that leak today turns out to being fake, he still has a ton of stuff backing him. Even through the darkest of times, it’s still great that so many people in this thread still supported him.

I guess we really are in the endgame now.
Or should I say...In the Final?;)
