That’s why I never talk about leaks or rumors it sounds stupidColor theory isn't a thing. They didn't choose the characters as DLC because they match certain colors. They didn't sat down and say "Okay team, we have the color orange. Now which character can be associated with that color?" Sure the next DLC character most likely isn't going to recycle the same color from the other 4 DLC Fighters, but they weren't going to have a color be a deciding factor in this. Whatever color they choose it will be because it complements them better, not because they're associated with that color. Good example, Terry is associated with the color red but they gave him blue.

That's true.I don't think Sabi just asking a general question on Twitter means they're hinting at anything.
If they announce Geno the truth is that I would cry from happiness, on the other hand it feels great to be able to find a place to talk about Geno without having to receive unjustified hate comments, by the way how are you guys today? What would you guys do after Geno gets in smash?
Oh wow I actually didn’t know him being an insider and knowing Cloud. That definitely makes the video more interesting. If he’s that connected I’d assume he’s seen at least one or multiple DLC characters. Not all of them though because his BK reveal reaction seemed pretty legit.Late to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters. We talked about it earlier in the year but it's well known that Jirard has great "ins" and it's public knowledge he was one of the few people that Nintendo showed Cloud to before his release with Smash 4. He's a well known insider but he doesn't talk about what he knows. On that note, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he knew who #5 was and, if you wanted to get tin foil hatty with it, his Smash speculation video could have been sorta coy.
What if Geno and Mallow were a duo character? or they could join the battle together, and about the completionist it's interesting maybe he knows somethingLate to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters. As amazing as that would be I dont see it happening. I feel like at best mallow could show up for genos taught's like with joker and morgona. What if Geno and Mallow were a duo character? or they could join the battle together, and about the completionist it's interesting maybe he knows something
The moment I saw Jirard's video on that matter, I was like "huh... but... why would you... hmm... wait... WAIT A MINUTE". conspiracy theorizing intensified afterwardsLate to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters. Tin foil hatty or not, I'm just really happy that more and more large-name youtubers are mentioning Geno- Alpharad has mentioned wanting him really badly, but going in on him a lost cause, and he's popping up more and more throughout top 10 lists. Geno, in terms of relevancy, is definitely in his prime right now, which is especially impressive coming off of the one-two punch of the Grinch Leak basically nuking most of its characters, and Hero coming in as a second Squenix rep. It's great to see.Late to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters. Maybe not crash, because he was deconfirmed to be the 5th fighter, but the other 2 make senseThe moment I saw Jirard's video on that matter, I was like "huh... but... why would you... hmm... wait... WAIT A MINUTE". conspiracy theorizing intensified afterwards
However, I will say, taking everything that has been discussed so far within the 5th DLC fighter's speculation topic, I've come to narrow the possible candidates to the following:
- DOOM Slayer
- Crash Bandicoot (despite him being discouraged as being the 5th; which does not equate to him being discarded for the future DLC wave)
- Arle Nadja (after watching the latest PapaGenos video on that matter, I too found it odd that Puyo Puyo on the SNES NSO library is the only game that's in Japanese, and the recent addition of Tetris spirits to SSBU)
I believe the three would end off the current Fighters Pass in a pretty high note (Crash Bandicoot more so imo). Crash because he would complete the main 90s video game mascots' trifecta, making it possible for the very first time to have Mario, Sonic, and Crash duke it out in the same game. DOOM Slayer because he would be the pick many thought could not be possible due to the series' gore and violence; yet he would also be the first legitimate representation of the FPS genre. Arle because she would represent a unique and interesting game genre that many wouldn't think would fit in a fighting game (Puzzle genre); would be the female rep within the pack and would appease fans clamoring for said representation; she would also be a solid retro rep, and would most certainly a VERY unique moveset to the roster.
Have faith brother, for soon the dark times will be overOh lord what if the geno mii costume comes back with Terry or the last fighter pass character... The thought haunts me.
I don't think the Smash community would take it very well. We already saw what happened when K. Rool was a Mii costume in Smash 4 and the fans were not happy. Fortunately K. Rool is now a playable fighter so we can hope that Geno isn't regulated to a Mii costume again.Oh lord what if the geno mii costume comes back with Terry or the last fighter pass character... The thought haunts me.
Celebrate continuously till he's out then make him my new main. Would probably also retire from speculation for a long while, since I'd be more than satisfied at that point and every character after wards would be just a bonus. Geno was part of the reason I got into Smash speculation and he would also be the reason for me to retire from itWhat would you guys do after Geno gets in smash?
Interesting. I never knew he had that kind of in.Late to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters. I doubt it. We still don't have the Akira, Jacky, and Heihachi costumes back, so I think it's most likely that we'll see them come back with Terry, plus a few costumes from the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters games. Plus, if the Mii Costumes list is to be believed, I really doubt Terry would come with four SquareEnix costumes. Something like that would have to be reserved for a SquareEnix character at the very least,Oh lord what if the geno mii costume comes back with Terry or the last fighter pass character... The thought haunts me.
Yep, there's even video evidence for Cloud:Oh wow I actually didn’t know him being an insider and knowing Cloud. That definitely makes the video more interesting. If he’s that connected I’d assume he’s seen at least one or multiple DLC characters. Not all of them though because his BK reveal reaction seemed pretty legit.
Also the more worlds thing was a mistranslation. This is really good thoHello Smashboards, I'm a new user here. I also have an account at GameFAQs under the same name. Some weeks ago I made a thread there what i would include in a Geno DLC pack, but it started some unwanted discussions there and people told me it would have a more benevolent audience when I would post it here. So here is what I would like to see in a Geno pack:
The main argument I've seen to be used against Geno as a post-Fighters-Pass DLC is Sakurai's comment on how he wants to include more worlds into Smash.
But when you look past the many Toads NPCs and returning enemies, it's world feels really detached from mainstream Mario games and even the other Mario RPGs. The only reused previous locations include Peach's Castle, Yoshi's Island and Bowser's Castle. The only place it introduced that re-appeared in other games was Star Hill and arguably Toad Town, although it was unnamed and basically just a few houses around Peach's castle in this game. Even Mario's house was a completely different one compared to later titles.
It had a unique set of villains, many new enemies that only exist in this game and new locations like Moleville and Nimbus Land, which were inhabitated by mole people (different from Monty Moles) and Cloud people, who both only appeared in this game.
The only notable thing besides Star Hill that got carried over to Paper Mario are some of Mario's moves and the Shaman tribe that got more background in Paper Mario (like Merlon).
I mean, if Yoshi counts as an own series (and he even has the same main villain as Mario) i would think Mario RPG would count as an own "series" with a unique symbol too.
Stage could be either Forest Maze cause of that iconic song, or what i would prefer Bowser's Keep with Exor stuck in it, would also be the first Bowser's Castle stage besides the timed section in the Paper Mario stage.
Music: Beware the Forest's Mushrooms and Fight against an Armed Boss are speculated because of the Youtube-take-downs by Nintendo. But i would also include And my Name's Booster, Barrel Volcano, Fight against Smithy who likes transforming, Fight against a somewhat stronger Monster, Doctay Mountain Railroad, and Valentina. While owned by Square, the music was composed by Yoko Shimomura and i don't see her as stingy like Koichi Sugiyama, in fact none of her actions seem to imply she is stingy at all. So 8 tracks would be the minimum i think.
The other thing i've often read is that Geno wouldn't warrant an own spirit board like other DLC characters but i would disagree with that as well, as the game has more than enough characters to be included as spirits:
Smithy: King Dedede with a higher usage of his Jet Hammer move
Culex: as Mr. Game and Watch, due to his Japanese dialog referencing his flatness, and also because it would reference how G&W was a source of dark energy in Brawl's Sub Space Emissary, which is the case for Culex too.
Frogfucius: green Greninja
Chancellor Toad: as a mii fighter in a green Toad costume, but with a 1-Up-Hat to give him the green color there too. (Btw he might me the only reappearing character introduced in this game at all if the Toad Minister from Paper Mario is the same as both are green Toads and have the same name in Japanese).
Gaz: just regular Toad Mii Fighter (maybe with a Poison Mushroom to reflect him being still a kid) and a small Geno as his doll
Croco: as a purple K. Rool or Ridley
Booster: clear Wario reference so self explanatory, 3 Shy Guy mii fighters to represented the 3 Snifit bodyguards who are always next to him would be a nice touch too.
Boshi: as the dark blue Yoshi
Valentina and Dodo: Palutena and a giant Falco
Mega Smilax: 1 giant Piranha Plant and 3 smaller ones
King Calamari: Giant Inkling
Jonathan Jones: Inkling with a Killing Edge or Staff?
Smithy Gang (group spirit): Mack as Joker with a knife attack priority, Bowyer as Link with a bow attack priority or alternatively Pit, and Yaridovich as Corrin with priority on his spear moves or Ridley for the similar body-type and using his tail impaling as a spear move
Exor: Giant Chrom or any other sword fighter really
Axem Rangers: this one would be a 4 star group fight like Phantom Thieves and Hero's Comrades, to also reflect how they were the hardest fight in the game. They imitate the main party, so it would be: Pink - Peach, Black - Geno, Green - Robin (like in Mallow's spirit battle), Yellow - Bowser and Red - Mario in a simultaneously battle. When they are defeated a giant Ike will spawn to represent Blade and he must be defeated too.
After all this do you think it could count as an own world and how do you like my decisions?

I think they left DKC out for a rare replay rerelease with all the donkey kong games instead of the 360 games. Just my hunch thoughYeah the release schedule is worse than even the NES as it at least had a few games a month yet we haven't had a new game release since the thing launched. I'd really like to play the DKC trilogy, Earthbound and SMRPG sometime.
Man I hope we get more than two tracks. If we get Culex’s theme we’ll have a defacto third final fantasy song so that be coolHello Smashboards, I'm a new user here. “Nintendo, can we get Pauline in the next console Mario Kart or Smash title so us Pauline fans don’t stick with MK Tour?”'Nintendo, we got the fan poll results. 96% of the planet want Geno playable.'
'Yeaaaaaaaaaa.....but are we SURE people want him?'
'Nintendo, Sakurai just spent us a letter asking for Geno. Its handwritten signed by 2 million fans, in their blood.'
'I just don't know.'
'Nintendo, aliens from 45 thousand galaxies are threatening to blow up Earth if Geno isn't added.'
'.......but what do people REALLY think of Geno?'
'Nintendo, some user on SmashFAQs called Geno a stinker.'
'THAT'S IT, he's out! Screw him! Sakurai, add Pink Gold Peach for the fighter pass.'
Lmao, I can see them adding the boring, regular-design King Boo in the next Mario Kart over the Luigi's Mansion one.“Nintendo, can we get Pauline in the next console Mario Kart or Smash title so us Pauline fans don’t stick with MK Tour?”
“What? You want Toadette in Smash? Sure!”

What are your thoughts on pie?Maybe eat some cake
Or maybe he was just stating his opinion of who he wanted without any regards of who actually is getting in. I believe they showed Jirard Cloud being in Smash Bros because he did a massive Final Fantasy VII event, so best to capture the reaction since they knew it was going to blow minds.Late to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters.
I don’t think he is a insider, He’s been mostly surprised like the rest of us like Cloud’s reveal & Banjo’s reveal.Late to the party but it's interesting that the Completionist (Jirard) came out and said that Geno was one of his most wanted characters.
