Samus might be able to nair before you can fsmash her. I'm not sure whether the nair is guaranteed to come out in frame-perfect scenarios, but it often happens in practice. Reverse dair -> utilt is probably better.

I haven't heard of Wobbles playing in a while, but I think Fly and Wobbles in his prime are around equal. Chu also looked really rusty in his recent vids, so Fly is probably the best at the moment.

i thought trail might be better than fly, but he started a thread about it and comments on fly's youtube vids and it's like an inferiority complex LOL. trail is really good but he doesn't play outside the MW so it's hard to tell just how good he is.

i have a question though, what is reverse dair? you talk about reverse dair combos, but dair doesn't have enough knockback to combo... does it?

btw fly, i learn a LOT about ic's by watching your vids. like up-b OOS nana edgehog, desynch techs, recovery tricks, etc. i'm thinking of secondarying IC's now.

*continues lurking*

How do you do the thing Wobbles does where he sweetspots a synched up-B? He does it here at 1:04, for example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqJjBOvRsKw

It seems to be a really useful way to save Nana (in fact, he does it to save Nana in that set somewhere). My problem is I can't ever get Popo to grab the edge. He just does the normal up-B.

You just have to do a sync'ed Up-B where a solo Up-B would normally sweetspot. That means Nana has to be close to the sweetspot to so you can't save her from too far away.

I'm praying Über Ice will attend CEO so we can see him in action again.
I'm flying down to CEO so you can see me in action, does that count?

=]

Fly, Wobbles, Chu, Trail. All basically tied, each with their specialty.

Trail went to Pound 4. And in ages past was at Pound 3 and FC Diamond.

>_>

I didn't know Fly left WC at all.

Fun fact: The farthest I've ever been from Socal in my life is Norcal. KK, regarding your earlier post, I lost to Hugo and MacD.

I was playing my friend's Falco yesterday and finally tried out blizzarding through lasers and it worked like a charm. He started doing something really annoying though which is when I'm on the edge, he'll stand about a roll's length away and just jab and f-tilt over and over. I was usually able to eventually brute force my way through it with f-tilt or a roll but I was getting frustrated with how such a simple tactic was shutting me down. Is there a simple way around this?

Lixi I don;t understand your explaination of the sweetspot upb nana saving thing. Why does it matter where Nana is? What is the right spacing? WHo else knows dis.

EDIT: Ohhh, you have to jump right before you do it. That's the key.

Waveland onto the stage and crouch. If he ends up jabbing, you can just grab him immediately, because the jab has no CC pushback. If he ftilts, it'll make you slide back a little. You can still get to him before he can do anything by running up and JC grabbing immediately.

Thanks for the tip. I don't think that really works that well in the situation it occurs though. It's almost always when I'm a solo climber at high percent - too high to CC f-tilts. It was a lot more f-tilt than jab.

WOW.

I was doing this Popo sweetspot, nana flies up on her own thing. (uh,what is that called or do we need to give it a name)

You can basically do it over and over quickly and both nana and popo are essentially invincible for the entire time. Obviously there are very small holes, but it looks amazing. Constant nana-missiles flying from the ledge.

Wobbles named it the Nana-rocket when he first found it (kinda funny that you came up with such a similar name). But usually we just refer to it as ledge-cancelled up+b.

Nintendude: You should be able to wd onto the ledge with invincibility...

If there were any questions about the nana-rocket I probably answered them in the thread I just posted.

Check it.

Yeah I think you're right. I should just be able to wd onto the edge and jab during my invincibility. For some reason I kept shielding after the wd (and getting pushed back with f-tilt) which I've realized is a habit I need to switch up depending on the situation. Seems like I had a brain fart that day - oh well I'll be prepared next time!

I actually do enjoy when people do little gimmicky tricks like this to exploit me. It makes me realize where there are holes in my game/thinking and lets me patch them one at a time. It's much more difficult to improve when you are simply being outplayed in all aspects.

Speaking of "gimmicky" tactics, Fly, I just watched those friendlies of you vs. m2k where you were having trouble dealing with d-smash spamming by Peach and Link. I'm just wondering what you would have done differently if you could redo what was happening there (though I think in the case of Peach you were just having trouble executing your punishes), because like the f-tilt spamming, I occasionally lose because I don't properly deal with silly tricks like that. Falco's f-smash can also be really dumb but I don't think there's a good way to deal with that except shield it and roll away unless he does it at point blank range.

I really should just approach with fair to get around things like that. It works fine, but I have a habit of almost never doing that since I generally dislike approaching with fair.

Oh, regarding the Falco stuff, if you shield the ftilt and there's a platform above you, you can waveland onto it towards center stage to get around other jabs and ftilts. I don't like the risk associated with doing very precise wavelands, so I tend to favor options like this.

My friend keeps getting pissed at me when I wobble him. He just ragequits everytime I even start. How do I explain that it's not broken? I've already tried saying that other characters have guaranteed 0-deaths, that it's really hard to set up and the only reason I do it a lot against him is that he makes lots of easily punishable mistakes.
