To think, Ganon Boards maybe more benevolent - or at least more logical - than the R.O.B. Boards? I change mains, I'm suddenly hated; SupremeDirt changes mains, and the Ganon boards don't really mind (from what I've seen). Oh, what a world.

lol sol im just messing dude
Blah! That's what I hate about the internet; you can't tell if someone's being sarcastic through text alone unless they add "lol/lulz/etc." "XD" or ":troll:" in the post. Oh well, as long as the R.O.B. Boards do not mind my input in said board here-and-there, I'll be happy. XD

Stingers can be a junior Ganon sidekick in-training.

Also, since the ladder is finally ending tonight, I want to post this out of sheer elation:

My highest before I started sandbagging/decaying. I don't think I'll participate in the actual playoffs though. I'll probably abdicate my spot to someone else. Done with WiFi forever. Forgive me, I'm just exceedingly happy.

Holy **** your post just magically appeared, Sting. So that's what "This thread is live" means.

And I'm not a god. I'm a Ganon. If you're going to serve him, you need to know the distinction. 0| (Thanks though for the props, Sting!)

For the record, I'm still a Ganon at heart.

In other news, reading threads from 07 onwards in these boards gets progressively more depressing as people begin to realize just how nerfed he is.

*edit* lol there's a post saying "people need to stop using DAir". Pre-thunderstorming threads...

Oh, also anyone who hasn't needs to go play the new version of Minus. Except stingers, lol.

I never really enjoyed any of the Brawl spin-offs, though I've admittedly yet to play Project: M.

Also, I just got a car, so I'll probably be able to go to tourneys again. I was supposed to be ranked this season (NE has seasons now due to 3-month intervals), but I was short by one tournament attendance. Had I entered one more tournament, I would've been ranked, but had to be excluded on a technicality. Poor attendance has ***** me.

@ Verm's post,

Creativity is indeed very important (and fun) with Ganon.
Most Ganon's I see and play use the normal basic stuff and do not know how to fully control their character.
That is what makes us different from the beginner players, imo.
If you can adapt to situations and know how to fully control your dorf you can beat even the most annoying MU's.

depends how you are being creative

for example i like to screw people over with the insane cancel frames on ganons usmash against characters that lack a projectile. for example i commongly play vs. my friends jigglypuff with ganon. and one thing which always ruins him when hes floating around at 2 o' clock to me is to usmash IASA full hop nair. three long range kicks in a short space of time, SOMETHING hits him and because its jiggly, everything is like half a stock off XD

I've realized something.

MU-wise, Melee Pichu is better than us.

This depresses me very, very much.

I'm pretty sure unlike Pichu, Ganon in Brawl actually beats Bowser. Granted Bowser doesn't matter at all in tournament, but still, Ganon actually does have the advantage against someone in this game.

It's fun and games until your opponent actually learns how to space and zone. Keep in mind Pound completely thrashes all of Ganon's zoning shenanigans. He can only try to block it on a read. This is discounting the fact that Jiggs can simply wait until you throw out the N-air, and then punish with B-airs as usual.

Also Jiggs is quite frankly a lot more durable than people give her credit for. While she's technically the lightest character in the game, she's also extremely difficult to juggle and edgeguard. A character who actually has beyond terrible durability would be someone like Bowser.

I don't know which Falcon's you've played. Ganon goes close to even with Falcon, but the matchup is most definitely not in his favor. Falcon's Jab used correctly is very difficult for Ganon to punish, and Falcon can basically option select a lot of Ganon's defenses with it. Falcon also punishes Ganon's whiffs very easily with grabs and his N-air, F-air, and B-air are also extra good in this matchup given that Ganon is tall, and that those moves have low ending lag. Getting gimped by weak F-air is pretty gay, given how easily it covers a lot of Ganon's recovery options.

Bowser's air game is complete trash, so he has to actually play where Ganon is strongest (on the ground) which leaves him extremely vulnerable to Ganon's dangerous pressure game, and Bowser's mobility is unspectacular enough that he actually has to respect Ganon's D-tilt in poke wars. Ganon also edgeguards Bowser much much better than the other way around. If you are good at edgeguarding, Bowser should basically never recover against Ganon once you get him far offstage. Since Bowser has the worst low edgeguards in the game, he can't really gimp Ganon.

Ganon Falcon is pretty even slightly in Falcons favor on pretty much all stages cept brinstar and maybe Delfino

Even though ganon has some pretty good tools when fighting bowser i still wouldn't really consider them enough to say that ganon has "Dangerous pressure game" in the MU

Yeah, what Bloody said. I don't know where all these people get these ideas that Bowser's like laughably easy for Ganon. Only a handful of good Bowsers exist (King Kong, Phiddlesticks, Limit and Zigsta) and the former three never let me do any of that unrealistic theorycrafting BS on them like consistent chainchokes, or ****** him with DAirs.

Bowser's pretty easy to hit, but he's EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to kill, really not that easy to tipman unless he's a decent ways below you and his Klaw cancels wreak havoc on Ganon's approaches and defenses. Bowser's not HARD, but he's definitely not even.

As for Falcon, having played most of the best Falcons (Ally, Stroumbert, Lordhelmet, etc.) I can safely say it's definitely in Falcon's favor. Not by much, but it is. Falcon's speed makes it really easy for him to punish Ganon, he can gimp Ganon 3x easier than the inverse and his close-range game beats ours by a mile. The MU is a lot like Snake in which Falcon seems like he's a joke until you actually encounter a good Falcon who knows how to actually use the character and play the MU correctly. Then again, Ganon's probably the single most susceptible character to sensationalized MU ratios, good and bad.

"Herp derp Ganon has that banana move on Diddy Ganon beats Diddeh"

"Ganon > Snake 'cause he can DAir him at low percents lul"

"Hurr wut Gannon do vs Shoek's chan ooolo it's ∞:-∞ in Sheik's favor"

Man, I haven't played other Ganons for ages. Anyone up for some during the weekend?
I would, but if you recall, my Disc Reader was dusty.
So I opened up my Wii by force the other day and tried to repair it myself, but it ended up completely broken instead, lmao.

I'm trying to get my hands on a new Wii Console atm.

I should ask Phiddlesticks what his opinion of the Bowser-Ganon MU is.

Then again, maybe he namesearches.

Also, my namesearch seems to be broken. It's had the same threads in the same order for the past month.
