My friend is going to make it this week.
Looks like we're going to have a good turnout this Thursday...Clemson guys, def. try to make it out here. I know the ride is long, but this week will def. be worth it!
Oh, and two things:
1: We should record some of the doubles matches this week. Not all of them, possibly just the semifinals and the finals?
2: Brinstar is a counter pick stage, correct?

Umm... im getting my apartment, and the 685x2 was a bit steep and unexpected. AND... the 300 pet deposit *fiancee's dumb little dog :/.... AND, the 400 dollar car payment may have overstreched my Walgreens-waged check, xD
So... as it stands... maybe next week? maybe??? or it'll become a "when i can" type deal... sorry

So... i woulda taped the reserves, but umm.. that was making the trip from Illinois to SC in the first place when i quite 2 months before the move... yea
So.. i think im sneaking in for next week. Direct deposit, and actually off means i get the car and can go... heheeh

Man... hopefully i can make it next week, i've been training and coming up with strats for GOOD ike's... unfortunatley... Peter plays pretty safe... other than playing the "gay" sonic and h&r tactics or gimping, then avoiding to win the match by default... Sonic looses :/
And ALI/ARS snakes.. gotta kill earlier. ARS and me both came to last stock, and i had a higher % and thats what caused the loss...

im quite aware ike is slow. on FD, i could easily hit and run him all day (I REALLY hate that playstyle and straight gimp ko's as well... feels cheap and undeserved...), but if we should spot dodge war chances are im out-ranged and out prioritized. the hardest thing for me (can't believe im saying it) is measured, paced gameplay. If you let me prrssure you or can't stop me... Sonic *****. Now... space me and stop 10 consecutive approaches... thats new for me...
Not to jock you.. but your ike play simply slammed my Sonic... could'nt work you out till far too late. BTW, hope to rematch you nextime. Gaurentee a bettr match
edit: and your 80% ko hits from FD center vs my 130% from the edges play a big part in it unless i were to gimp (0 to 40% lol)

If your playing sonic it strikes me as silly not to do everything you can to win. Calling anything sonic can do hax is scrubbish. I have next to no experience against sonic so this is just imo. On a related note you need to start making these I want to play a sonic.
Good games everyone I had fun again this week sorry we didn't get in any friendlies crio.
shoutouts in order I played everyone.
Ali: great snake man. All our games were really close, thought you were going to send me to the losers bracket first round.
Khai: Don't think you read this but always interesting to see what clever stunt you hold back for tournaments. DK on lylat was pretty clever.
kackamee: Your ice climbers are sick. That first match had me scared. I thought near the end of that match I got a better feel for how to fight them but I was only able to take that second match because somehow a charged fsmash didn't finish me at like 130%.
Peter: CAPTAIN FALCON!? Thats pretty hardcore. Your falcon was quite impressive. Your ike was great as well. Although I believe I died a little inside when you picked snake :-p.
On a side note that was a tough bracket.
also random point to Ali & peter: you guys should play some none neutrals. I notice in teams you guys were destructive on final d but on a few of the maps you just had some silly deaths.
One last thing.... thanks everyone who let me borrow your controller I really appreciate it.

Fair enough, i've been told i play a good Sonic, and i doubt i'll disappoint you. I get paid Thursday, with no major bills due, so worst case, im "sneaking" to next week's tourney, lol
and my thoughts on gimping: yes, i could gimp as sonic can HA, spring, stage spike like a demon if you know how... but since this isn't a LARGE tourney meaning a couple hundred dollar pot, i don't feel that need. I do occasionally (i.e: you play pit, a spring to your head kills you when you up-b, and thats just plain lolz). I have tried a few different playstyles since i've come, and some of my more "honed" techs are kinna scrubbish since i really only play wifi so... my timings are off and that throws me.
Anywho, im 90% sure im coming, and to Devin: PLEASE record a few of my matches, i have 4 vids up, two were jokes, and you have my loss to Harry's ROB (embarassing, xD)

peter (ptown I think) won losers finals in an clutch 5 round set. I'm actually not sure if any matches were recorded I think we were on the wrong tv for at the finals.
