On Falcon, you have other things you can do to him that are 100000x gayer and more guaranteed. I don't think you need to go for this ever.

I feel like if you're actually comboing with shine (excluding waveshines), your combos are just going to fall apart constantly. I try to avoid shining at all costs because it usually just ends my combos. Shining is more for getting that initial knockdown or approach, and for protecting yourself when you hit shields. Maybe a better player has a different opinion on general shine usage though.

I agree, someone on here said something about uthrow shine nair/bair I think but I'm pretty sure that requires no DI and is very percent specific.

I suppose a better but more broad question would be to ask what is fox's best throw at low percent when you can't follow up a uthrow with anything? Other than throwing them off stage. I usually just fthrow

I'd have to agree with Bones, like with shine, you can nair shine and chase, but basically shining in combos just leads to you having to chase the opponent and it makes your life more difficult for the most part.

Also that was me that that mentioned shine bairs, and they're not that difficult to do, you basically shine at the feet(Lower point of the body) and immediately like with Falco.

I would say up throw is your best bet all the time unless your d-throwing some1 on a platform or b-throwing some1 off the stage

how do you hit the opponent with that shine lol..i been wanting to learn it so bad
in general the shine just can't be used as a straight up attack, you have to position yourself with other moves first.

like short hop nair/dair into shine

or getting a grab and uthrow into shine

sometimes you can just dash in and shine but it can be risky

also when the opponent is off the stage they can become really easy shine fodder reall fast

actually running in and shining is really frigging good because it isn't telegraphed. you'll see a lot of foxes these days use it as one of the bread-and-butter approaches particularly in the ditto

I think proper wavelanding makes a disgustingly huge difference.
I have/had a bad habit of rolling after I over extend with an empty hop
Wavelanding backwards while facing the enemy is so much better

Rolling is a disgusting habit lol
