Okay, includes some character specific changes, and leaves 80 lines to play around with. The char. changes are approximately equal to those in Mookie's post (I modified 1-2 values for convenience, but only by a small amount). I'll be posting this in a couple of hours, along with details about this board and a quick rant at people for flaming anyone who disagrees with the concept of the project. I'll divulge details about anything asked, but I need a short break to relax.

There are a couple of glitches due to unresolved flaws in spunit's code, I'm told, mainly caused by transforming characters. But otherwise it appears stable. I'll post it up tomorrow if it's shown to be functional.

looks good, though I can't see what the char specifics are.
also, could you in short describe how you made the character specific codes, so I can port them?

EDIT: important! the level freezer will make those stages go backwards, not freeze.
the BF800000 should be zeros

Yes, I'm aware. I believe the stages chosen to be reversed, however, behave in this state (e.g. warioware has no stage effects).

The character specific codes are just a gargantuan bundle of ASM. They shouldn't be too hard to port over - they load important stuff into registers for the first 1-2 lines, then the rest is mainly comparisons.

yeah, I disassembled them and they are a lot less writing than I expected, but I see I need to used the "constant writes" with it to work.

Blar, my bad. The character specific gravity changes aren't correct. Because I epic failed with organizing my post he set the gravities to be the first draft of the short hops. In other words, that is completely borked, cause the short hops were set for much, much higher gravities.

Again mookie... ganon doesn't need any sh change if you're not giving him upgrav.

And do you have any idea how ridiculous a fast fall speed of 1.4 is with 1.3 downgrav? Those two values multiply together dude, to make him fast fall at 1.8x his normal fast fall speed. That's not a fast fall. It's a "HIT THE GROUND NOW."

Geez man, your post is coming off as really harsh.

I doubt you can thunderstomp efficiently on 1.3 down grav and 1 buffer. I changed the short hop from 1.1 to 1.05, so that should make it possible and it won't really effect his way of playing much at all.

Anyways, I just posted that but I haven't looked over yet. I am in class now, which is why I haven't looked over it. Almas knows that I haven't looked over it yet. In any case Ganon is supposed to have a 1.15 fast fall.

Sorry if it sounded harsh. I just don't want a character to get screwed up in the middle of the changes and ganon particularly stood out at me seeing as how I play him frequently.

He doesn't need the 1.05 sh increase. The only extra difficulty in performing the thunderstorm comes from the 1 buffer. He's under the effect of upgrav for the entirety of his jump, so the added downgrav doesn't make it any more or less difficult to perform.

Sorry - Auto-L Cancel was renamed to Aerial Lag Cancel (ALR). ZC? Z-Cancelling? We never really used that...

I'm using Mookie's list but with some changes. Fast Fall has been changed to be the same as Mookie's value after the multiplicative effect (chars with more Grav than FF have 1 FF). I set Ganon to leaf's standards. Working on the set now.

Ohhh, I didn't think about it like that. Yeah, that is right. Well, as long as nobody has any problems with anything else that's good. I've been working a lot lately on my self promo so I haven't spent as much time peering through feedback of my changes. In any case this should be a really good starting point for most characters. I spent A LOT of work looking into all these changes so I'm pretty confident in them.

Aerial Lag Cancel... ALR? I think you meant to call it Aerial Lag Rancel. :D

Yeah, ZC was Z-canceling, which we decided not to use at our tourney in favor of ALC (ALR?).

ALR = Aerial Lag Reduction

Basically people thought that the name L-cancelling was confusing too many people expecting a button input for it so instead of Auto-L-Cancel they named it ALR instead.

Basically take my codeset from the other thread, then toss in that sucker to replace the gravity / FF / SH mods in mine and thats what the end result will be Cape.

I'm going to post it as a standard codeset, and see how much objection rises. Of course, since SOMEONE provided misleading information, I'm currently rewriting. And there are some glitches in spunit's codes that need to be worked out...

Fixed that issue. Running Almas's set.

Can someone tell me why its so **** hard to SH on this thing? (That needs to be fixed).

Also, attacks feel really slow. (I had been using Kupo's set) Whats up with all this?

Also, Shanus, trying out your CSS, how did you make that. I would like to make myself a custom one.

DD doesnt work.

It flows really slowly (I assume thats from missing the booster codes)

And also. Ganon is horribly wrong. He cant even autocancel uair anymore (who picked those numbers for him anyway?)

Zero Suit Samus cant sh double uair anymore. (Ick)

No SH fair autocancel for Wolf.

Lucario feels heavy.

I dont know if thats from the slower game, or if he just feels like he has more weight on him.

This code makes me feel dirty. These values are HORRIBLY wrong.

Big <3. What is causing these problems do you think?

Would it be easier to throw out all of Mookie's values and go with a standard for gravity. Then decide on a + or - to the jump heights?

A lot of throws seem to be chaining against the fast fallers.

Ganon is totally screwed up. Sonic too. They both have upgrav applied to them, which is totally ruining their games.

Also, DK seems to lose his double bair.

Wait a minute, Ganon wasn't supposed to get any up grav mods!

Give Ike a higher full jump/double jump. Ledgehopped aerials are really difficult and Ike can no longer ledgehop side B back onto the stage.

Pit could use a slightly higher short hop so that he could auto cancel uair (mostly for chasing people on platforms). More full hop/double jump height too (so he could chase people better).

OMG What did you do to Sonic!!!! Sonic is only supposed to have down grav on him. Basically, take all of the up grav off of him. His up B doesn't go high enough, he can't SH auto cancel fair, his jumps don't go high enough to chain uairs. He's a mess.

Marth could use a boost to his Full hop/double jump so that he's better at moving with platforms. He used to be able to just run off a platform on BF and double jump up to the next one, but now he just barely misses it.
