Pretty sure WPA compatibility is a hardware/firmware thing, so if your system doesn't support it, then the game cannot. iirc the DSi supports WPA. Alternatively, you could switch your router to WEP and risk people stealing your internet and getting on your network, but that's unlikely in a home environment.

You're talking to a (former?) Kirby main here, so air releasing is totally unfamiliar to me, thus why I know nothing about it.

I have a DSi. The DSi supports WPA.

Pokemon Platinum does NOT support WPA.

I was hoping HG/SS would remedy that failure, but at a brief glance it seems it does not.

And I actually have a bunch of neighbors, it just happens that about 90% of them are really old since I live next to an old folk's home and there are a bunch of condos nearby that also have old people.

I doubt anyone would do something nasty with a WEP encryption but it's my dad's choice, not mine.

Bah, you're not a real Fox main. You're pretty much doing what I did with Mario. Give it a bit, and you should be back to Kirby, with Fox as a secondary or maybe dual-maining.
