I won't put anyone anymore on the interested list (unless you're a huge name like Armada or M2K). Please register if you want to join.

I have a question, how will you get all the TVs ? Hosting an international tourney with only 2 TVs at your disposal at start is kinda suicidal.. Will you hire them ?

I don't know yet. Considering how... many paid registrations there are (1), I have my doubts it will be held anyway.
But I would probably rent TVs if there's no way around it, yes.

the main problem is the prepaymend because no one want to pay for something that isn't 100% confirmed. (you said you have to cancel when they are registration under about 20)

Man, that's why you should never start with huge tourneys but instead locals, get some contacts and materials and then after you are sure of what you are doing, you announce and prepare a huge tourney.. Who will actually pay the registration when you say that you aren't even sure it will be held ? And what host waits to get payed before confirming ..?

As in economy, you should never act as if you already had something that you aren't sure to get at all, that's the path to disaster. You burn steps and aren't patient enough.

Yes, and I cannot confirm it if I have too little registrations.

I've said NUMEROUS TIMES that I will PAY THE MONEY BACK if it doesn't take place.

I have to pay around 1000€ in advance before I can sign the contract with the hostel. I don't have these 1000€, I'm sorry that I can't pull them out of my arse.

I AM SURE TO GET IT WHEN I HAVE ENOUGH REGISTRATIONS.

God****it.

Getting stuff has nothing to do with the hostel, I'm just saying that you should have taken care of that TV problem before any "official" announcement.

It's ok if you pay the money back, but you should have gained everyone's trust and say it clearly in the first post (because not everyone read the 25 pages; but at least that part is still corrigible) before doing that sort of sleight of hand. As far as I'm conserned, I would have probably paid if I attended this, even though it looks fragile.

You don't even know what I'm doing in order to achieve TVs. I said that renting them would be the last possibility, if nothing else works. -_-

There's a lot of American interest for this tourney. Hope this goes ahead. I wanna attend this just need to convince my parents really bad and enough UK players need to go. =P

Not for Brawl, there are way better Brawl players.
So you say that Armada is not one of the best European Brawl players? That placing 10-something-th at Genesis doesn't make him one of the best players? Note how I said ONE OF THE best, not THE best. Already in the very first post regarding him.
Or are you saying Armada is a bad player?

I would totally be at this...if I wasn't married and stuff.

If there's an orthopaedics conference in the area around then, maybe I can make it work.

*Goes to check*

I'm saying there are way better players, making him not one of the best. I'm not saying he's a bad player either. Btw, results don't make players good/bad.

Armada doesn't attend brawl tournaments.

I wanna see Armada vs people like Kaos, Ramin, Istud, Calzorz etc. Stop saying there's people better than him in Europe when that hasn't even been proven yet. Just wait till the next big tourney which features players such as the ones I said and Armada and then we'll know if he's the best/one of the best.

Can you stop your arrogancy crusade in my thread, Jumpman, and place it somewhere else? Thank you.

It was merely an example to prove Armada should not be considered a top player when other players are most likely better. It's definitely not arrogance, as I know my statement is false. I'm sure you knew that too.

Just as an update.

I still have only one paid registration. If noone registers/pays, I won't be able to hold the tournament.

Don't worry - if you're not sure if you can come or if the tournament is still a bit shaky, please still register. I can only confirm it if I have enough registrations. If you can't come or the tournament doesn't take place, I will send all the money I've recieved back. You cannot lose one single Cent with this.

*is disapointed*

It looks like I'm gonna have to help run a conference that weekend, so... yeah, no visits to Europe for this for me, future Dolls Wars maybe, but not this time, sorry.

UPDATE:
After long pondering, I have decided that the side-event will be MELEE-SINGLES. However, this is NOT a promise, as I don't know whether we will be able to gather enough TV sets to hold a side-event.

The rules are simple: If you want to join this tournament, Brawl-Singles are mandatory to be entered and paid (you don't have to actually take part in this tournament, though, you simply can forfeit if you want). Every other event is optional.

The pot for Melee-Singles will be decided later on.

Other Side-Events might be made if we have enough TVs, as well.

Just as an update:
The Melee pot has been decided to be € 4.

If you have already registered before Melee was announced, you can send me another eMail adding you to the Melee event.
If you have already paid, you can transfer the 4 Euros afterwards or give it to me directly at the event.
