from what I've gathered, you cant CC pill (which is what I was going to say), but it really dont matter for what I think you're getting at.

In a situation where you'd realistically think to CC pill, you really just need to ask "is Doc too close to be throwing this pill at me" (or am I too close, iirc you dont play doc).

There is a "too close" for pills, and the range varies from character to character.

As I was watching some of Shroomed's latest videos, it occurred to me that letting a pill hit you might be better than shielding it in some situations. Naturally, I was curious as to whether CCing would enhance this tactic, but apparently it doesn't. Is there a reason why pills can't be CC'ed to much advantage?

You have to remember that the longer it takes for the pill to get to me the longer it takes for me to knock out the pill, the longer it takes for me to take out the pill the more time you have to move around. You are doing the pills too close. Throw pills from far away and see how I react to them. You just throw pills and just wait for me to run into them and or just come to you. This is just mindless pills. Pills are amazing for what they do. Throw a pill, if I start swatting them from far away, run with your pill and when I cancel it out come at me with a tilt or an aerial. If I am jumping, do the same thing but come up with me as I jump. If you see me jumping a lot, do full hop pills and have the pills bounce above my head so I jump into them. Just learn your pill angles better, the problem is not the fact you are throwing pills, the problem is where and when you are placing your pills.

looked at my CC chart again, and i have yes with starts next to mario and luigi. With what im thinking, i probably got the same result from all 3 and just put 2 different answers.

I gotta redo that list anyway. I think.

I know for a fact I have another list i have to redo (That's not related to doc in any shape form or fashion), i just cant remember if i had to redo the CC chart on TOP of that.

I might be thinking of quitting tournaments after this year. Maybe I'll end it with Rom 3 or something.

I think I noticed it might be easier to fight a Marth than a Fox for me.

lol i chalenged like 10 marths to $3 mm's at a tourney this saturday, ive only played like 2 of them idk if any of the others are good. pray for me

I don't know what to say.

Cause really, it's a case of "Hey I like this matchup because people don't play it right, so it's easier for me" compared to "I hate this matchup because people play it right."

That's all this is, lol.

I like fighting marths who f.smash my shield, try to grab me, and all the wrong s*** too. But then I come across a guy who actually knows the matchup and it's like "oh yeah, it's pretty bad".

That's not as common with fox/falco/sheik cause they're more commonplace, and what they're SUPPOSED to do is their default action anyway.

But I mean hey, enjoy it while you guys can, which'll probably be forever since 8 years (or 9, don't matter really) into the game we got people still learning matchups. :laugh::laugh:

More important news:
So I'm goin to a tourney this weekend, ATL Revival.

I'm probably not going to enter melee, seeing as there probably won't BE a melee tourney. (If there is one i probably still wont enter, I'm getting in free and practically going there for free).

I WILL be doing updates for ~~
-Tekken 6 (I should just blanket this as "Pokchop wins" and be done)
-Horribrawl (For reasons nobody should care about)
-SSF4
-whatever else is going to be there (I hear talk of the return of 1-on-1 Government, if that's there I'm entering no questions asked).

So yeah, just throwing a heads up. If there's a stream, I'll throw the link on my twitter but there's no reason melee should be on that stream. (I'll post the games as they go up)

Marth's g@y. I say Falco is wayy easier.
I mean goin' against a Marth that has any brain vs. Doc at all, Doc has to approach with his SHIELD. And sometimes the only wayy to get in on a Marth is to wavedash towards Marth out of shield into a shield just to close distance without getting hit. That alone says alot about how broken the matchup is. The matchup actually requires a ton of patience if the Marth is playing "safe"/gay. Requires more patience than it takes to beat a Falco (unless Falco is platform camping).

First of all, you gotta land a grab. Second of all, you pretty much need FD for a guaranteed setup, without it there are too many variables to guarantee death EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'm not saying it's not possible (infact its VERY possible), just it's not free.

Dtilt sucks and luigi loses to bair.

I like fighting Marth's too. All I have to worry about is the sword and it isn't that fast. :3

lots of ppl johnned out of the marth mm's. I won two mms, won and lost a couple friendly sets, and lost hard to Iori in a MM. Took him to FD for fun and got annihilated :urg: bad stage

I also narrowly beat ripple's roy in a 3 set 45 minute MEGAMONEYMATCH worth one single dollar. That guy is crazy smart :roymelee: Took him to dl64 every counterpick tho, it really is great

Which is like, the only way anybody can argue that match being in doc's favor against any competent roy.

BUT THEN AGAIN ROY IS STRAIGHT TRASH AND DOC MAKES IT ONTO THE WEEKLY WEST COAST HIGHLIGHT REEL SO DOC MUST HAVE 8-2 ON ROY BY DEFAULT.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I honestly don't think Roy is that easy for Doc. He's got some **** that ***** Doc. And he can escape the chaingrab (CG) before he racks too much percent (the same way Sheik escapes CGs). Even Samus and Luigi feel like easier matchups than Roy.
