Tin star the robot sheriff in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC newcomer. Could except his pistol, his movements are based and other than video game that has the same name.

Except Medusa has the same height and dimensions as Palutena. The fact too she's her opposite, Palutena represents light, Medusa represents darkness.

Viridi is too short to be Palutena's echo.
I mean, considering we've never really seen Medusa side-to-side next to Palutena, that's uncertain. And yeah, Viridi is much shorter than Palutena, but at least she has actually used the same powers as Palutena and also fights with her staff. Too bad Pichu wasn't an Echo.
Like you can just reskin Palu’s old customs to be all dark and edgy to fit Medusa
But I don't want a darkness version Palutena. I want Medusa to be aggressive and destructive. I want to play as the Medusa who frickin' punched off Hades' head. While I would like Medusa's specials to be more original than Palutena's powers with a darkness theme, my main issue is with giving Palutena's regular moveset to Medusa.

At best Viridi would work as a semi-clone similar to Villager/Isabella and Fox/Falco/Wolf. If she had the same height and dimensions then she could have been an Echo but since she's not that apparently isn't the case.

Is he even owned by Nintendo?
I'm not sure. His game was published by Nintendo, but the game was made by Software Creations, the ones who did the NES Silver Surfer, Maximum Carnage, the Scooby-Doo SNES game and the Ken Griffey Jr. baseball game on SNES, and they were bought by Acclaim, the publisher of the Turok games on the N64. But Acclaim later went bankrupt and alot of it's properties got sold off to different companies.

Nintendo was supposedly going to re-release Tin Star on the Wii Virtual console according to the ESRB website around then, but didn't. So I don't know if Tin Star actually belongs to Nintendo or belonged to Software Creations/Acclaim.

A bit off-topic but huh...

(With the rumors of an FE remake being revealed at E3, I wonder if there's a possibility that the lord of the game could be CP10 or CP11).
Smash has tended to steer away from Remakes for Fighters, so I doubt it. I only consider Ayumi an exception because her games also haven’t been localized, would be a deliberate Retro Fighter, and she’s already been considered at least once before. Outside of that potential exception I don’t see us getting any characters from any Remakes.

Tin Star is yet another one of those oddball Nintendo published games that weren't actually published in their home country.

So like Startropics, Geist, Uniracers and Killer Instinct (prior to the Microsoft buyout obv).

King Boo would be kinda cool, he'd be like a Gengar pick except Gengar isn't getting in Smash probably ever. :094:

Just don't give him anything that isn't his Luigi's Mansion redesign. Like, is it Mario lore that he only looks remotely threatening if he has some magic macguffin on his head instead of stealing Peach's tiara?

there's only room for one obscure 16 bit robot in this game

and believe me, there's no way this guy loses.

I think the Flamenco Tavern from Street Fighter would've made a pretty fun stage with the ability to climb the fence freely.

Of course, you'd probably have to implement that in a more user-friendly way; maybe by pressing the Grab button when mid-air?
When was the last time we ever saw Pokemon at E3? It was in 2018, right?
E3 2019, when Sword and Shield were shown off. I was at E3 2019, so I can safely confirm this.

So here's a theory/argument against a new Pokemon that I've seen going rounds:

View attachment 315296

The gist of it is that there's evidence that they did not bring in European teams for recording new lines for the FP2 characters, unlike the base game characters and even FP1. Which would potentially rule out characters that necessitate French/German/etc voice clips, like a new Pokemon (i.e Cinderace is called "Pyrobut" in French)

What do we make of this?
Honestly, I was mostly looking to Toxtricity, Urshifu, and Rillaboom for a Generation 8 fighter, but if that does means something damning, that's alright I'm already content with the Pokemon that we have right now.
and seeing Sakurai didn't apply Protean to Greninja, I doubt he do so with Cinderace, which would be something to make him more that just another fire starter with a predictable playset.

ALSO, I was skimming and lurking a very recent Smash thread today and and saw this post posting out some other possible turn downs for a Pokemon rep next month.

Not sure which /vp/ thread was it...but it's interesting.
for the first point, I do recall Sword and Shield's new trailer was before E3 2019, Pokemon LGPE announced at a business conference in 2018, and a 2017 Pokemon Direct before E3 week featuring Pokken DX and new USUM information.

They had to get Xander Mobus back in the recording booth in early 2019 for Joker, I'm sure they did one last batch of recordings to cover any DLC possibility (Byleth was also in this batch). I'm sure most Pokemon had names by then, especially the big ones they would actually add.

I was going to say that if Xander Mobus did the announcer recordings in early 2018 that he could not have possibly been able to do Byleth. However, Three Houses was actually formally announced at E3 2018, and at that point we did know Byleth's name. It really depends on how early in 2018 these recordings took place.

Aaronitmar's doing a thing where he chronicles the origins of each character's Classic Mode route.

I fully understand his disappointment with the Hands being the final boss if each route over and over and over and over and
i know it would've been more work but IMO one of the biggest missed opportunities with Ultimate was unique bosses/stages for each character's classic mode from their home series. I liked the special Ganon and Dracula stages Link and Simon got i just wish all the characters got them as well.

It's not just Xander. It's also the Announcers for Spanish, Italian, French, Russia etc. They quite literally cannot have Xander come in to do more VA work for the announcer without calling in at least 5 other people for the other countries as well.
