Although a humorous translation, perhaps Sakurai is referencing the Mew Glitch allowing one to catch Mew without needing to go to an event.

I wouldn't mind Cynthia if they do another Trainer character. If there is another Trainer character, aside from Cynthia, the only other ones I want for a Trainer character are Blue/Gary, Silver, N or Giovanni.
I'd love for Cynthia to show up in Smash! If anything, I see her working similar to Yugi Muto in Shonen Jump's fighting games. In her case, Cynthia would actually be ON the battlefield, summoning her Pokemon to help her out in battle.
And nothing would piss me off more than Pokemon getting another 3 characters worth of dev resources.

Time to ruin everyone's fun. This isn't about Yoshi's tax evasion. It's just about legitimate Mews having the ID of Yoshi or Mario.

If we are gonna have another Trainer, i would prefer if they worked like Yugi on Jump Super/Ultimate Stars.
So... maybe we could finally have a Pokémon Trainer with Pokémon from different generations since it would be from an official game and not from some fan’s head canon.
I see the logic of why he would come with this wave if he happens to be a mii costume, but it doesn't affect the chances of whether or not he's a costume to begin with. He has the same likely hood of being a costume as if Pyra and Mythra were not in the game.
Typhlosion and Decidueye are both in my top 3 favorite Pokemon, so choosing just one to be playable is tough. I'd probably go with Decidueye, because it would be more unique, but in an ideal world we get both.

I love SPM. I still want to try the more traditional Paper Mario games, but I have a lot of fond memories of that game. One of the few games I've played that actually moved me.
