While they said they have no plans after Season 2, I can definitely see a scenario where Nintendo announces a Season 3 Fighter Pass.

Were like what about halfway through the Nintendo Switch's life span? and it's still going strong? Most can see it going 3 more years or at "Max" 4 years.

Seeing how Super Smash Bros Ultimate is already over 20 million in sales and both passes have sold very well, Why not go for a 3rd and final season? Seeing how the future of Smash is somewhat murky and there isn't gonna be one for a long time, They have this massive install base and should strike while the iron is still hot.

Given the limit of 91 characters before the game officially crashes, I find Post-Pass 2 individual DLC more likely if anything. That or an Echo Pack.

Nobody sees Kratos as the 'Mascot' of Sony at all. They know he's heavily associated with Playstation, but there's nobody who views him as the actual mascot.

Well, that's kinda the problem Sony has always had. They don't have a REAL mascot that just represents them through the ages. Sony's mascot is just "whatever out most popular thing is atm...", so it's constantly changing.

Perhaps, but given the amount of money that another paid DLC Pack could make for Nintendo given the install base, doing little more than a few free updates (and not even a hint of paid DLC with Animal Crossing) suggests that big sales aren't not necessarily a factor in deciding what gets more paid content in titles.

At this point, it might be more worthwhile for Nintendo to ask Sakurai to develop something else instead of additional Smash DLC. By the time this current pass ends, we'll be at the three year mark, which is probably a good time to move on before people lose even more intrest.

There will be plenty of games in the future that they can use to sell DLC; newer games that people will buy without thinking because the game is shiny and new. I'm sure BotW2 alone would fill the void Smash would leave if they stopped, but I'm certain we'll be seeing more titles with DLC than just Zelda.

One thing I'll say is that BOTW2 is a thing. to my Knowledge Zelda doesn't usually does sequels lie what BOTW2 is. I think the closet thing was Majora's mask. BOTW2 shows that they are willing to capitalize on Something very successful

Personally, If we are going to get more content for Ultimate past Fighter Pass 2, I Imagine they might do a whole Expansion or sequel type game, instead of just making another Fighter Pass.

If we ever do get a New Switch model, they might want Smash to be a headliner to try to get people to buy it, So perhaps they want something more substantial than just Extra fighters and Stages. Of course I imagine they might make the expansion as DLC for Current owners, as not to separate the audiences too much

Honestly, unlike those DKC reconstructions that one guy does, this one is distinctly different from the original. I have to say, I think I prefer the original. The very-MIDI violin just sounds weird compared to the original synth-like instrument.

In the Blaster Master games themselves Sophia is the same height as Jason himself. They can easily get away with it in Smash too. Other character canonical sizes have been adjusted too to fit the game.
The only real issue I could see is how Sophia would hold items. But I guess that too could be solved by simply have her hold it with her 'barrel'.

So that leak that happened for a switch and ps4 version of Ninja Gaiden is kind of a big deal if it is real. So, far it seems like it is real. And if it is real then im pretty sure that confirms Hayabusa. It doesnt make since that they would all of the sudden do something with that series again. not to mention the fact that the release date was listed for march, the same time as the amiibo wave and most likely the next smash reveal. Real or Fake?

I mean I get what you are saying but the Mario porn story is arguably one of the worst things you could have brought up. Nintendo bought the rights to that specifically to bury it. As in, it was Lost Media for a long time before someone managed to find an old vhs of it lost.

Steering things away from actual pornography, let's talk Zelda's 35th. I think given that Nintendo did some cool stuff for Mario's, I think we can expect something for this year. Here are a few things I think are likely.

• OoT 3D and MM 3D or OoT and MM ports
• Ports of Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD
• Some Zelda game will come to the eShop. I would bet on Four Swords Adventures or Minish Cap.
• Skyward Sword HD comes to the Switch
• BotW2...comes in 2022

I think most of these are pretty safe bets for what Zelda will get for its anniversary. Maybe we might get another new game, but idk.

Now onto the other big anniversaries this year for Nintendo. For Metroid, I think what we should expect at best is a Metroid Prime Trilogy port. Maybe a port of Fusion or something if we are lucky. I doubt Prime 4 will come this year, but I can dream. Pokemon will likely in all odds do some big events through Go and Home, but I think the main thing will be a new game. I would personally bet on Sinnoh remakes since it seems clear that Pokemon Journeys is not winding down yet. F Zero has an anniversary this year, but let's be real, we are more likely to get Mother 3 this year than a new F Zero. Finally, Pikmin 4. It will likely not come out this year. But maybe someday.

The other big anniversary celebration we know of is Sonic, which we should get some news on soon. Here's hoping that it's pretty good.

For LoZ 35 I'm really hoping we get a remake of the Oracle games ala Link's Awakening. They're some of the best 2D Zelda titles out there and modern versions (where the long password system to carry over data from one to the other wouldn't be necessary) would be amazing to see.

I'm not counting on anything significant for Metroid, though another 2D game this year would be nice.

It's not the final straw, but I think that the base game for any character is a genuine concern for their chances in Smash. This line of thinking also extends to characters like Doomslayer, Scorpion, and Kratos. It may not matter at all, and yes, some of their own series like Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Metroid can get pretty dark - but none of them are ever gratuitous in the same way the games I mentioned before are.

I'll drop it, though I did just want to comment that I think that there's no reason we can't all discuss the topic matter reasonably, as it is related to speculation regarding a potential character in a very relevant way.

While I do agree that that would totally help Hayabusa's chances, and that's pretty hype, I'm gonna tell ya to slow down captain cuz the fact that Ninja Gaiden is a beloved and classic series is usually enough of a reason to give it some remakes and rereleases. Not just so it can be in Smash lol.

Again, in his own game Jason doesn't follow that rule. I honestly don't think it would look off in Smash at all either. If Sakurai would decide to add him, I'm sure he'll find a nice middle-ground like for example with Ridley compared to Samus. But to each their own opinion.
I'd gladly take an assist if that's all it got. Anything would be nice.

Give them time. Atlus only just figured out that porting their games makes them serious money and they probably have their hands full with Shin Megami Tensei 5 and the remake of Shin Megami Tensei 3.
