Its quality remains to be seen, but yeah, this definitely sounds like something they should make a big fuss about.

Trust me, at this point I just want Sega to acknowledge the game EXISTS. I don't care if it's in another one of their "Sega franchise crossover mobile games" like Sega Heroes or whatever it was called. I'M DESPERATE!

It's really a shame that Sega starts the Sega ages game on Switch with some Genesis and Master system games, but then they just... stop. I wanted so much to play Billy Hatcher, Skies of Arcadia, Samba de amigo, Space channel 5 and Crazy taxi on Switch, and more retro Sonic games too.

For me, it's my man Crypto.

He can summon meteors, throw people around with psychokinesis, has a weapon that is effectively a grenade launcher that ionizes humans and blows stuff up, he can summon an underground beast and a venus human trap, has a gun that shoots rainbows balls that pick people and objects up and bounces them around the place while dealing damage, and can combine objects into a ball and throw it.

Oh yeah, he also has a flying saucer of death and sounds like Jack Nicholson. What's not to love?

My pick couldn't go to anyone else but Sgt. Cortez!

TimeSplitters is home to many zany weapons from different time periods and since Cortez is a time traveller, he gets to utilise lots of weapons like Tommy Guns, Plasma Rifles, Rocket Launchers, Flamethrowers, Electrotools, etc. and he also a Temporal Uplink which pretty much acts like the Half Life 2 Gravity gun, except you wear it on your arm.

red doesn't need limbs, and we don't even need to take any real creative liberties like giving him a slingshot as a weapon or anything.

all he needs is his beak, tail, power-ups and other birds. Lacking arms is hardly something that needs much of a work around

You kinda do though. There's only so much you can do with a ball with a rigid beak and tiny tail feathers before the attacks start looking too similar to each other, not to mention the balancing issues that will arise in a character that can be outranged by Jigglypuff and Pichu.

EDIT: Not saying you can't be creative with what he has, but he's gonna need at least a little help for the normals.

Ugh, everything ManOfAction makes is terrible. ESPECIALLY the abysmal recent Mega Man series.

Love the way you think; so many fond memories of the first two games and really dug the remaster. Would be amped as hell if Crypto got in.

An Angry Bird characters would probably take a lot of inspiration from Duck Hunt Dog's moveset. I'd imagine stuff like birds flying at targets from offscreen via smash attacks. Though to me, this type of character really would just fit best as an assist trophy I think, as there's too many hurdles in terms of the actual fat red bird's character model being a character that animates well without looking stupid.

It might be better. But there's 0 chance it becomes good. There's just too much stuff holding it back right now, as better netcode won't help improve the ****ty buffer system or ranked system the game has.

That is a good point. We at least won't get any sort of overused plot like "Johnic's just you're average nondescript grade school student who has a well kept secret; When Dr. Eggman's Badniks attack, he becomes Sonic the Hedgehog! Capable of rolling around at the speed of sound, Sonic is the only one who can stop Eggman from doing child appropriate bad things." At least...I hope not.

Whatever they do they probably won't be able to top Sonic Underground, which features Sonic's long lost siblings from another dimension that both have names derived from Sonic. I mean that both ironically because that's hilarious and genuinely because I loved that show as a kid.

It won't. There's a high chance that they're 3rd party, and I if they were planning on adding a Fire Emblem Warriors character it probably would have been instead of Byleth. Kiran, Alfonse, and Shareena are much more likely spin-off characters.

I don't think anyone said Byleth was unlikely or anything. If there were a new Fire Emblem game coming out, then no one would be saying with full confidence we wouldn't be getting a new FE character. But seeing as one isn't coming out anytime soon, and Smash DLC cycle is reaching its end, there's just no more real Fire Emblem picks to choose from. I guess a character from the phone game is a possibility....but it's very small.

Corrin was in Smash 4. Byleth was in Ultimate. Without any veterans to bring back, I'm pretty sure we won't get a second Fire Emblem fighter in Ultimate's DLC cycle.

Just because Steve and Sephiroth would've gotten the vast majority to buy the pass doesn't mean Nintendo's going to go hogwild with Fire Emblem characters.

I'd imagine they'd just use cartoon physics to have him hold items without actually holding them. He'd probably grab ledges with his beak.

There are non-crossover games where he's given weapons? That solves the no-limbs problem: He could just whip them out when the moveset requires the extra range.

You know, this whole exercise has kinda proven to me that any character can really be made to work if Sakurai sets his mind to it. Hell, people were touting the Dragon Quest slime unironically as a playable character for some time before Hero showed up. The only real question is - what sort of character would Sakurai jump through so many hoops to make work? Angry Bird certainly ain't it.

It's possible for them to do it. It's not possible they will do it. The buffer system was something they intentionally implemented, it was an active decision on their part. No matter how much people complain, they won't change it. The only scenario they would have done so is if people didn't buy the game in the first place, because of the buffering system, which obviously isn't what happened.

One of them could be Isaac, that has Felix as the alternative character / Echo with the same moveset.

There is no "disappoint the Smash fans with more Fire Emblem" quota. The quota Corrin and Byleth were filling out was one involving a Nintendo game that came out last summer, and it happened to be the new FE game in both cases.

I think by now, you miss out if you haven't tried it.

Yeah, we're definitely getting a new fighter next time around, preferably with a less lopsided roster that doesn't divide the fanbase in half like Phil Swift saws a boat in half. I just don't think they'll give us two Fire Emblem packs for the same DLC, especially seeing as Byleth was only chosen a year in advance and the next FE rep would have to be chosen two years in advance. I just don't see it happening so soon.

Voice Theory was debunked a while ago, alongside any other theory that uses empty slots. It was based on the CSS and not actual files anyways, so it's basically double dead.
