After checking, rechecking, checking people, fact checking, double checking, and checking my research, I’ve come to the conclusion that Nobahino is not in fact confirmed for Smash Bros.

But that doesn’t deny the fact the character is not not appearing as, well, the timing is pretty convenient and if purple theory holds true, then that’s pretty telling. That being said, speculation is about discussion characters; those that seem likely and those that aren’t. Let’s have fun talking about characters, keep an open mind, and perhaps try talking about other characters other than those you want or personally think are confirmed. This isn’t just for this incident but, historically, coming into a thread and telling a certain character is a lock does nothing for thread as it’s geared towards speculation discussion; not about just one character. Let’s have some fun and speculate cause the Smash cycle is about to end in the next few months.

There's nothing saying it can't change later so it's not confirmed, but assuming it doesn't, that would be the guarantee*.

*purple doesn't have to be the primary color nor does it have to be on what would be their default costume, but it does have to be on a design that we've seen before, and has a chance to be in the game. Also a light purple doesn't count.
