1. Thanks for reminding me I need to play Luna Nights.
2. The color purple was datelined on the New Zealand Smash site.
Yeah it's the good **** lmao

New Zealand did something again? And it's actually legit? Damn

Wait how do we know the colour but not the more important thing?

Actually, the background colors sometimes are ones that are barely on the person.

Only requirement, for this color to work overall, is they have purple anywhere on their body. Apparently "moves they do" wouldn't apply. So it could be very subtle too. Doesn't have to be a dominant color.
wait I’m confused. So does the character itself have to have some sort of purple or does one of their alts have to have purple on them.

I'd say the background color may also be attributed to elements from their home series or game.

For example: Joker's red palette is more likely based on the color theme of Persona 5, and Banjo's yellow palette is possibly based on Jiggies.
Has it been? I thought that wasn't the case.

It looks like I spaced and didn't finish the sentence. What I meant to say was that they needed to have a relatively strong shade of purple on their pallet.

But yes, it doesn't have to be their dominant color nor does it have to be a color that is on what would be their default costume; it just has to be somewhere on an existing design that would likely be in the game.
Okay, that makes more sense. Yeah, I can see that.

Though that's why I said "apparently" for a bit of it earlier.

I'm as confused as you are, to be honest.

Looks like I misunderstood the requirement. My bads.

Snake Man's stage from Metal Blade Solid
Nahobino is not confirmed, and there are plenty of other fighters that this could be referring to.
While it actually does narrow things down (ironically it also disconfirms Nahobino assuming this is how it turns out), there are tons of characters that have purple on their pallet so speculation isn't over by any means.

Still, I have a feeling that we're gonna get tired of the color really quickly.

Hey you know who else would fit into the purple color scheme.

My beautiful Miriam.

Too bad her game was too recent for her to be considered...😢

It's Chief because he'll have the Needler in his moveset and the stage will have Banshees and other Covenant stuff in the background :4pacman:
