So I guess we have another deconfirmation for fighters that uses their head to attack.

If that does deconfirm glad majority of my wants still lives on. Pokemon wise it seems like it might be pointing towards Inteleon or Rillaboom pick wise if it is an another starter.

Why are we making the assumption that tournament rules deconfirm a character? Just because they opted to delay that one fire tournament for a while until Sephiroth and Pyra-Mythra released? By this reasoning there are quite a few tournaments in the past that should have been delayed until certain DLC characters hit the scene.

This tournament theory is really grasping at straws. Watch as the last character ends up breaking this weak theory in half like a twig.

I'd still like somebody to provide me with some kind of source on the number entires for the missing spirit events and that one missing tourney, because I'm curious about the timetable by these according to their supposed numbers and how many others were delayed.

I'm just joking, but for real, I think this could further kill Cinderace, since any Good representation of Soccer needs a header in there. Some would also say Waluigi, since if he's gonna take a page from the other Plumbers, he's gonna have head also. However Waluigi can go anywhere in terms of moveset. yes

They JUST did a tournament for Fighters whose dads are Spirits...2 weeks before Kazuya was released(a Fighter whose dad is a Spirit).

Again, I'm going to remind everyone that we had a lightweight tournament shortly after Steve. Sephiroth weights just as much as Kirby. We had a speedy tournament in January. Mythra is one of the fastest characters in the game.

Take these tournament themes lightly, especially with ones as non-specific and random as "attacks with their head". Could it be a sign of things to come? Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, slapping the deconfirmed label on anyone who attacks with their head is a bit premature.

To be fair that was because we all thought Heihachi had to be the Tekken rep, and therefore his costume returning meant Tekken was out.

Though, I'm no better on Kazuya and I'm mad about it too: originally, being back in 2019, I thought Tekken could happen because Heihachi got cut from Smash 4 but I decided to anchor on Lloyd due to that post about Lloyd and Yuri being in development early on and because I held faith in the next Bamco character being a fan pick.

What I unfortunately missed is that much of this pass has been trying to 'right wrongs' if you will, which meant that Tekken had a much better chance, in which case I always said that Kazuya or Jin had a better chance as they have the Devil Gene which gives them more to pull from in addition to also being main characters, with Kazuya being the original main character. I wish I would have stuck with that and realized what I missed, but here we are.

I will say my call now is that that CP11 has actually been leaked already and everyone has written it off for various reasons that aren't truly justified

It's poor timing. If they wanted to make a Paper Mario stage in Brawl it probably would have been Mario's house, TTYD themed or Flipside. Unfortunately, the Nintendo gods decided to bless the 3DS' library with the giant shart called Sticker Star and Smash just happened to have another game after that.

Agreed. All these stupid theories make no sense at all. Why are people doing this? Are they sick in their minds? Are they bored and want to do something that absolutely drives people up the walls to amuse themselves? Why can’t they just post their thoughts of who the next DLC fighter will be like a NORMAL HUMAN BEING WOULD instead of making up some theory that makes no sense at all?

The decade tournaments are completely different. They don’t deconfirm the whole pass. They deconfirm the very next fighter being from that decade.

1980s tournament dropped and the next character was from 2017

1990s and 2000s tournament dropped back to back and the next character ended up being from 2019

they held off the 2010s tournament till kazuya. They could’ve dropped it off after min min since she’s a 2010s rep or after Steve since he’s a 2010s rep but they didn’t. They held it off till pyra and myphra who are a 2010s rep.

the decade tournament deconfirms the next fighter but not the whole pass. Last fighter isn’t coming from 2010-2019 as it stands.

I will say though that all the other tournament theories are stupid other than the decade tournaments. It’s people just having fun I guess. However it’s silly that people say “sephiroth could’ve been in the 1990s tournament therefore they don’t mean anything” when that’s not how the decade tournaments had been working and isn’t the reason to why people think they decomfirm.

I know you're programmed to rant any time someone remotely says something like "Mii costumes deconfirm", but I thought there was something bigger deconfirming Tekken on that day: Min Min had a limb-based system where her A and B buttons were left and right instead of standard and special attacks. Something like that can be found in Tekken itself.

Would’ve been nice to have a few final boss theme from Pm in the game. Colour splash’s, origami kings, TTYD’s and super paper mario’s would’ve been nice. Even the Mario and Luigi series got a heck ton of music including a final boss theme.

Still think if Rayman got picked they’d want to design his render such that making his amiibo could be as easy as possible

To be fair, Banjo-Kazooie didn't just get merch before the reveal. If I remember correctly, every few years or so during the time there were no new appearances, Banjo and Kazooie got new plushies and other items.

So basically, it kinda helps keep the characters relevant, but doesn't mean much by itself.

Honestly i was just wondering what others thoughts were on Fury from Darksiders. I don't think any of the 4 have any chance at all.

In general my impression is the tournaments generally point to more characters being added.

A character using their head makes me think of Phoenix Wright

No it just means that the character will release with a completely different tourney theme lol.
