-Since Kazuya has influence from the Devil, I think a Dante Mii Costume might have likely chance of showing up if that's a thing

-Kazuya's DLC Tournament might either be based around Fisting Moves, or being a Villain or something like that

-July/August are likely to not have Smash News

-Until a Swordfighter tourney comes, it's likely the last character is a Swordfighter. One theory could be that they waiting for all Mii Swordfighter costumes to come out before doing it however

-2010 tourney still missing

-If No Indie costumes come, that is sus

-Tekken is likely to have the highest music count in FP2. ARMS and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 added most (if not all) of their music, Minecraft needed all Remixes due to nature of music, and FF7 had some licensing to go through

Tekken seems all Namco owned, and since Tekken Fighting game, their music is built for game like Smash and doesn't need Remixes hypothetically (even though we are getting remixes

-Tekken is the franchise least associated with the Switch as of Right now, as there is no Tekken game on Switch. Smash Bros is the only way to play Tekken on Switch, unless you want to count Pokken

This might also be why Kazuya was revealed at E3, since more of his audience is likely to not be on Nintendo consoles

-Tekken was a Million seller in Japan back in the day (I believe). With that being said, Tekken mostly appeals to other Regions outside Japan, especially as of right now

-While selling the Fighter Pass was likely the priority, selling individual fighters is important too, and this may be especially true after the Byleth incident...more people might be more cautious of Buying FP2 (even if FP2 did sell well as a pass). I'm more optimistic about CP11 than pessimistic

-For Parallel theory, keep in mind that Piranha Plant was likely chosen under much different circumstances than the Actual FP1 and FP2 characters, so adding him to the theory needs to be proceeded with Caution

I have zero context for this but the way the guy's just kinda standing there is really funny to me
It's the ending of Half-Life (technically the screenshot is from Black Mesa but it's the same ending anyway). The guy is G-Man who just gave Gordon Freeman a job offer. You accept it by going through that green orb, which is a portal to... god knows where.
If you wait long enough, he will take it as a refusal to his offer and teleport you to a battle you cannot win.

Imagine if the last fighter gets a reveal trailer where ALL the other fighters are standing in front of a portal, waiting for the fighter to step out of it with the Smash invitation in hand.
Not the most exciting Cortez trailer I could imagine but hey, it works.

To steer away from fisting...

What are some tracks you expect Kazuya to bring, and how many tracks will he bring?

I'm leaning towards two things:
1) Kazuya's gonna bring a little bit from EVERY mainline Tekken game, including Tekken 7, and maybe some TTT stuff
2) He'll also bring along stuff from other Bamco franchises, with SoulCalibur having the best chance of fitting in this category imo.

Less fisting, more Shadow

Sonic Channel website updated with this new image, probably a story will come later if the recent updates are anything to go by, what with Sonic and Cream at the Music Plant with Cream not wanting to be treated like a kid, Sonic and Amy's Chaos Emerald related date at Twinkle Park, etc.

Spitballing ca. 12, and we're probably getting:

  • We have Kazuya's T2 theme - Emotionless Passion - and T3's character select theme confirmed already.
  • Jin's T3 theme is a safe guess: partly because it's arguably the classic Tekken track, as a small bonus / in-joke Jin inherited Kazuya's moves until the Tekken staff reworked Jin in 4, Devil Jin in turn inherited T3 Jin's moves while normal Jin proceeded to become the least Mishima in terms of playstyle.
  • I'm Here Now is the safest track from the T4 / T5 era IMHO, whether we're talking its original incarnation or the T7 remix. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of JACK robots are a background element in the Hazards On Dojo who crash the party in enourmous numbers.
  • Tekken 6 has Electric Fountain. There's also the yodel-tastic Yodeling in Meadow Hill.
  • Infinite Azure / Tekken 7's main theme Solitude are also safe guesses: Tekken 7 has become the defining Tekken game, not just because it has had an unrivaled competitive lifespan (it's up to 5 EVOs* when most of the other Tekken games couldn't get to 3) and not just because it's still seeing new content but also since it's AFAIK the best-selling game to date.
  • At least one track from either Tag or Tag 2. Personally looking at Tag 2's Opening theme.
  • And of course, who can forget:

( )

*Late edit: Misremembered, and yeah, separating 5 from 5 DR who got 2 each.

Here's ones I'd like (BTW Since Tekken 5 PSP is the only Tekken game I've played much of, songs from that game are the only ones I'm familiar with):

Say, if Tekken were to have a boss, then who would it be? I'd personally like to see Jinpachi (due to my aforementioned attachment to Dark Resurrection).

Either that, or Pac-Man piloting a giant Mokujin; hey, that version of Pac would fit the villain criteria of being a boss, since he's practically a psychopath.

I think NANCY or Azazel, the bosses from 6, would be who Sakurai would go for because they're huge.

I played so much vanilla Tekken 5 back then, I have a strong connection to it hahahaha I'd love angry grandpa with crazy beard and mouth on stomach

But for real... True Ogre, he makes sense.

Y'know, psychopathic issues aside, there was something weirdly charming about Pac in that game, at least to me. He was still a joke character, but something about him speaking in Pac-dots and the Mokujin mech having an arcade on the back just worked well in a way that Bad Box Art Mega Man just... did not.

Guys it’s inevitable
...

Why Pop Fizz? I mean I like Pop Fizz, but that's kind of a random pick. Granted, the character that makes the most sense would be off representing his own series, but there are still other alternative Skylander originals like Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy, or Stealth Elf.

Or Chaos. He'd probably be the best choice if you already had Spyro.

I'm gonna highball it and say that we going to have a tracklist similar to Fatal Fury's/King of Fighters 50 tracks, with a minimum of Street Fighter's 36 Tracks

as for which tracks, There are 9 main Tekken games to consider, Here are my thoughts to which games will get the most attention

-Tekken 3, Tekken 7, and Tekken 5/DR were the biggest Tekken games, So I think they might end up getting the most music tracks, Especially in Tekken 7's case since that's the most recent game and Kazuya is taking the most inspiration in design from that game. Tekken 3 I think will end up having the most music tracks

-Tekken 6 will also get alot of Music tracks I feel. It was the Big Tekken game for the 360/PS3 days

-Tekken Tag Tournament 1 is a Popular game, So I think it will get good amount of Tracks. Ogre's theme in this game is a must

-Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 are considered the Black sheep of the Tekken games, Tekken Tag 2 especially as I believe it was the lowest Selling Tekken game (unfortunately). Tekken Tag 2 was the most major game on a Nintendo system besides Tekken 3D Prime (which I'm unfamiliar with)

These games will still get tracks though, Just don't know how much. Tag 2 will end up getting more I think then Tekken 4

-Tekken 1 and Tekken 2 were the games that started it all, but they are pretty old and overshadowed games also, especially Tekken 1, So I'm unsure if they get many tracks. Tekken 2 we already know has Kazuya's Boss theme as Remix and also the Arcade version. Hope they put in the Console version (since that's the better version in my Opinion)

-The Boss themes from every game I think will be represented.

-I think Arcade version of Tracks might end up getting prioritized over the Console versions, but we could see a mix of both though

Speaking of; regardless of your opinions of Bad Box Art Mega Man, the devs didn't mean it out of spite. He was moreso a victim of timing.

I don't know who that is.... only grandpa on Youtube I know is Grandpa Lemon from the Annoying Orange show. He always falls asleep at the end of his gaming playthroughs hahaha

No, I was referencing Jinpachi and the mouth on his stomach when he's the boss character in Tekken 5

Sakurai will add The Loveable Scrunko because of this topic

Unrelated to Smash but the demo for NEO The World Ends With You is now available, I've played It for a while and so far it has been really cool
God I hope the game does well, Square doesn't seem to remember they're supposed to market it and for some reason I haven't seen anyone talk about the anime since it started despite knowing a ton of TWEWY fans
