This is a little off topic but is this site killing anyone else’s phone battery? When I’m on here, my phone drains about a percent every three seconds. Other sites like GameFAQs still work fine and I never used to have this problem here until recently. Im not sure whether I need to buy a new phone or if it’s just something with this site.

Maybe it is your phone's battery consumption. The more intense features you use, the more the battery will drain. That or your battery is starting to fail on holding charge efficiently.

Regarding Smash stuff and why he was wrong: the old source that he cut ties with said it was Master Chief at E3, and he couldn't reach his main source in time so he didn't know who it was; the Champions lyrics were just him "having some fun" and wasn't a hint towards BOTW Champions in Smash.

What I meant is that if there was the possibility of making him unique, I'd take that over the echo option as I suggested afterwards. His moveset potential is not to be underestimated and I truly do not want to play as Sonic 2.

Idk man we've seen people get absolutely livid at the mere idea of Dragon Quest content completely ignoring how it's been a massive request in Japan for like 20 years despite Slime occasionally being brought up every now and then while still being successful in the West while characters like Lloyd will also get frowned upon despite being a long time Smash request. Hell, people wanted Tekken in Smash for a while with Kazuya being well received yet we still see people claim he's problematic for whatever reason

DQ has also been released in USA since the NES era. Heck, even the AVGN did a video about DQ chronology.

It died because it's a stupid theory, especially after Advent Children Cloud got his own section courtesy of changes to his Final Smash.

Kazuya would take at least 1 slot, and Voice Theory is solely based on wanting the menu to be a perfect rectangle, not how many voice banks the game could internally handle.

Which is the basis for many other theories, as some people are using an empty space in the Sound Test menu to prove that the next character is coming from an unrepresented series (unrepresented as in it lacks a playable character, not that it lacks any representation in Smash whatsoever).

this site is fine with battery, but I have noticed this site uses a ton of data. I purposely go on here less frequently when I'm using data, and it still uses far and away more data than any other site.

On an unrelated note, I've been thinking over potential Capcom reps that could happen apart from Phoenix Wright and 2 names have come to mind: Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Amaterasu from Okami. I know some would say that Morrigan is too much for Smash (even though Bayonetta is arguably just as if not more so and comes from a series with a higher age rating), but that's not the case. And unlike Mai Shiranui, Morrigan's outfit doesn't need to be covered up much to work for CERO's standards. She was able to work in the Darkstalkers cartoon with a slightly modified design that de-emphasized her cleavage. That, and anyone who has played Okami will know that Amaterasu's got a ton to work with for a moveset, which was also used in Marvel vs Capcom 3

The only feasible explanation outside of Verge being dumb enough to believe in all 4 BotW champions in a single slot was him getting way too ahead of himself and being a cocky ass which just makes it a bigger faceplant than it already was.

Sure, but I'm sure that's true of EVERY fan of an echo fighter. Everyone WANTS a unique moveset. But if you can't get one, an echo is good too.

Again, I refer to the not-so-well recieved Darkstalkers cartoon as a reference point. Morrigan's outfit remained largely unchanged apart from the cleavage being more covered. It was basically be more akin to how Rouge the Bat's outfit is handled in games past SA2

I'd love Dry Bowser, but I don't think even an Echo is worth it. Just make it a palette swap like Wire Frame Mac is a swap for regular Little mac or any of the Koopalings for Bowser Jr. There's honestly a lot that could be done to freshen things up just with some easy costumes instead of different colors for characters.

Yeah, in a perfect world, Echo Fighters have enough changes to justify their existence as separate characters and like, the only thing that I can imagine for Dry Bowser is Bowser, but with Bat Within, and I don't think the world is ready for that.

If there's a Smash game after this, the only way I can see really making up for losing a boatload of Third party characters will be to:
A) Make each echo and semi-clone character fully fleshed out characters with unique move sets
B) Add the last of the heavily requested 1st party characters like Waluigi, Ashley, and Geno (not sure on whether he is Nintendo owned or Squaresoft, but given he comes from a dead series, chances are they could get his rights for peanuts).

Geno is a 3rd party character from a 1st party franchise as weird as that sounds. This is apparently a trait shared with Vaati (though he's owned by Capcom).

If Shadow gets into the roster, I bet Sakurai would give Shadow at least one gun attack just to make him edgier (though he probably wouldn't make him say "damn", since that could bump up the age rating, which Sakurai doesn't wanna see happen). XD
