Ranking newcomers again? Okay.

S+ Tier
:ultchrom:
Literally my favorite Fire Emblem character, Nintendo character, and video game character in general. No reveal has matched it before or since, nor will any ever. I could go on, but he's the best and that's all you need to know.

A Tier
:ultridley::ultsimon::ultkrool::ultisabelle::ulthero3::ult_terry::ultbyleth::ultminmin:ultsteve::ultsephiroth:
These are characters I really love, and could never imagine Smash without now. All of these are, to me, amazing choices whose announcements left me very excited. Minor complaints exist, but none that would drop them below here. I can't play Steve or Isabelle for my life, I feel Erdrick should've been the face Hero, and if we got Edelgard over Byleth they'd be a tier higher, but none of these would make any of these characters fall below A. I sincerely love every one of their additions.

B Tier
:ultinkling::ultrichter::ultincineroar::ultken::ultjoker::ultbanjokazooie:
This is pretty much just the "Hey these guys are really neat!" tier. Not as hypeworthy for me as the A tier characters, but still cool.

C Tier
:ultdaisy::ultdarksamus::ultpyra::ultmythra::ultkazuya:
These guys...honestly did nothing for me, but in a Neutral kinda way. I recognize why they're here and they don't disappoint me or anything, but they also don't really get me excited either. That and friends of mine are really hyped for them, so that also helps them.

Bottom Tier
:ultpiranha:
Plant. God I wish Plant grew on me, but they didn't. I don't hate Plant, but they're just such a nothing character. I even like how they play conceptually! But god, even if we were to get a generic enemy...Shy Guy was right there. Incredibly popular, an iconic enemy, and could be classified as a Yoshi character. Had Plant been Shy Guy instead, they'd probably be in A Tier. And they wouldn't have cast Petey to Final Smash Hell either. When Plant inevitably gets cut next time, I can't imagine feeling anything but indifference.

My newcomer tier list for Ultimate would look like this:
ultimate newcomer tier list.png

Steve and Ridley were some of my most wanted, and Hero and Sephiroth are characters I didn't kinow I wanted before I saw them. I still think Piranha plant was a pretty bad choice and Min min I wanted to like her because I actually enjoyed Arms, but I found her moveset way too boring.

And just for fun I also made a tier list for the Smash 4 newcomer and I realise how much better Ultimate's one are.

Smash wii u tier list.png

The C tier is the "I don't care at all about those" tier (looking back into it I should have put Villager in B and maybe Wii fit too in B). For the D tier, I find Palutena very boring and I would've rather have Hades from Kid icarus than her. Corrin is also very boring and the fact that he came from an unreleased game didn't help him. Dark pit is a clone, but even for clone standard he's just very boring.

Why on Earth would the Europe one not be able to mentioned the word Tekken, also Japanese for Iron Fist. Hmm. Don't see why that would be an issue?
I honestly have no clue: Tekken 7's rated 16 by PEGI. Persona 5 got the same rating, FTR.

Nintendo UK's Heihachi Mii trailer showed "X Tekken", by the by. Interestingly the entire Mii trailer was rated 12 by PEGI, Heihachi included. This is also the case with the French, Spanish, German and Italian versions (Germany has its own system, the USK). The Russian version also shows "12+" (noting this one in particular since they're outside of PEGI and have their own system - RAR).

For lack of a better answer I have to guess it's due to legal problems / complications.

Not a fan of Byleth.

And it’s fine if others like em, I’m not gonna be that guy who craps on everyone who likes what I don’t.

But yeah, I don’t like em :wario:
I thought so; I'm not a fan of the milking there, either.

Pretty much every ultimate newcomer that I didn't at least think "that's a pretty cool addition" I wound up enjoying their playstyle. Only exception I can think of is Banjo, and even then it's hard to tell what my actual reaction to him would've been had I not still been reeling over Hero. I guess you could count Dark Samus there too but it's not like I was bothered that they made an echo of a character I don't play.

Ya know, if a new kids cartoon of Final Fantasy IX is how we have to popularize FFIX to get some FFIX content in a future Smash game, then so be it! IX is secretly the best one.

Nyeh NYEH nyeh NYEH, KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDS

Actually could be pretty good depending on how it's done.

By the way, do you think we might get more characters in the background for Kazuya's stage besides Heihachi?

I mean, the way the trailer presented him made me think he is the only character in the background, but at the same time that would be kinda weird, I think. I'd expect at least a few more, and considering Namco works in Smash, maybe they could easily reuse some of their Tekken models for the background cameos instead of having to do those from the scratch.
Oh yeah, I think the Mishima Dojo would likely have more cameos than that. Would love to see Roger Jr. and his mom, Bryan Fury, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams, King, Mokujin, Bob (both the normal form and the slim form), Kunimitsu (both the original and the second one), Craig Marduk, Jinpachi Mishima, Anna Williams, Christie Monteiro, and Alex (oh, and Pac-Man piloting a Mokujin).

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at, care to elaborate on this point?
I think the person is referring to the influence Sakurai has on the gaming industry (such as being able to get even the likes of Square and Konami to play ball).

I couldn't find my last list, so there may be some weird fluctuations in rankings.
  • S: :ultpiranha::ultsteve:
    • The tier where everyone is near perfect.
  • A: :ultchrom::ultincineroar::ultbyleth:
    • The tier where I like them, but I may have some issues regarding them.
  • B: :ultridley::ultsimon::ultisabelle::ultbanjokazooie::ultsephiroth:
    • The tier where I'm not super enthused, but there is something here that appeals to me.
  • C: :ultkrool::ultinkling::ultdarksamus::ultrichter::ultjoker::ulthero::ult_terry::ultminmin
    • The tier of either complete indiferance, or characters I have some problems with (usually with how Echo Fighters were handled).
  • D: :ultdaisy::ultpyra:/:ultmythra:
    • I've already said my piece on Pyra/Mythra. Daisy's here because she's an Echo Fighter, and I don't like playing as Peach.
I like how people are using XBDE as an argument here but still call it a remake despite how every model from XB1 was kept over meaning the most effort was put in that ****ty epilogue
That may be true for the environment, but it's not for the characters (or at the very least, they were touched up significantly). They also had to go back and reanimate the faces since the changes also changed the rigging.

Nah I clearly remember seeing how a ****ton of character models were flatout reused. Textures were what got updated the most, though if I was mistaken about all of it being reused, it doesn't change how it was a cheap ass remaster which was the main point as people called it a remake which wouldn't be as cheap as it actually was

I've been thinking about a potential 2nd Sonic rep, so here's something I'd like to share: I know that there are plenty of people who are wanting/predicting Shadow, Knuckles, Tails, and Eggman (with someone also suggesting Amy), but how good would Rouge be as a second Sonic rep? She could easily have a kinda unique moveset (assuming Knuckles doesn't get in first), and she'd be another female villain (okay, antihero, but that's close enough to me) added to the roster. Yeah, I know we already got plenty of villains and plenty of females, but we don't have many female villains; all we got are Wendy, Piranha Plant (who I consider as such due to me thinking he/she is a hermaphrodite just like most real-life plants), and Dark Samus (yeah, I know she's considered genderless, but I still think she's part female due to absorbing Samus's DNA).

I'm going to do a tier list for the newcomers... for each Smash game! (this is based on my feelings as of now, as opposed to when the game was released, because I can't recall if I had any particularly strong feelings about the Smash roster at the age of 9 or 10) This is based on how much I like the character, their addition, or how they were implemented, though in most cases, I just added characters to tiers on the spot rather than thinking too hard about it.

I don't think there's a single character out of the original twelve that I dislike - Jigglypuff feels a little out-of-place nowadays (which is why I put her lower than the others), but considering that she was a last-minute addition who could easily be based on Kirby, I understand why she was included.

I have Mario, Link, and Pikachu in the A tier because their inclusion seemed kind of like a given, whereas in hindsight, it's a pleasant surprise that Samus and DK made it in. I know DK was big in the 90s, but if Melee is any indication, Nintendo seemed hesitant to touch anything that was made by Rare. Meanwhile, I've recall from one of the Sakurai Presents (I think it was Terry's?) that the initial reaction to Samus in Smash was "who's Samus?", so I'm glad that they included her in the game rather than leaving her out because the Japanese audience wasn't really into Metroid.

I was never a fan of Marth's playstyle; it seemed to require way too much precision, and even before I knew about the tipper mechanic, I never found his moveset to be interesting.

I get that Zero Suit Samus added another woman and another Metroid character to the roster, but she felt hastily included, especially given that there were plenty of other options for both of those which fans wanted to see. I missed Gen. 4 of Pokemon, so I had no connection to Lucario. On the flip side, I had wanted to see characters like Wario, Meta Knight, and Diddy Kong in Smash since I was a kid, so seeing them included (two in the first trailer, no less) was very exciting.

I only knew about Snake from old issues of Nintendo Power, but after going back through those issues, I got MGS: The Twin Snakes on the Gamecube. I've played through all of the "main" Metal Gear Solid games (not the NES/MSX ones) since then, so that game (and, by extension, Snake's Smash inclusion) made me a fan of the franchise.

Bayonetta was a "dream come true" moment for me - I wanted to see her in Smash (Bayonetta 2 was one of the reasons why I bought a Wii U), but I never thought it would happen. Likewise, Mega Man was a huge deal - my main experience with the series was the Battle Network games, the Mega Man collection on the Gamecube, and Mega Man X on the Wii, so I wasn't super familiar with the franchise at the time, but after a long period of his games getting cancelled, it was great to see the Smash team showing him more love than Capcom did.

Ryu, Cloud, and Little Mac were all great, but they didn't quite reach that level.

Also, in my opinion, Corrin was the worst choice for a Smash character. I get that Nintendo probably pushed for the Smash DLC to promote a new game, but there were plenty of options that they could have picked where their series didn't feel insanely oversaturated. (or options where the game had actually been released outside of Japan, so it didn't feel like as much of an obvious cash grab)

Joker, much like Snake, got me into an entire series (and its spin-offs). However, nothing's going to top Ridley, K. Rool, and Banjo-Kazooie for me - I'd wanted these characters in Smash for years (since the N64 game in the case of Banjo), and it was amazing to see all three of them added here.

I never really got into the classic Castlevanias, so I sometimes forget that Simon and Richter are here. I found those games too frustrating, and while the Metroid-themed ones are a less frustrating alternative, the Belmonts haven't really factored into the games that I've played. (Richter's an unlockable character in Symphony of the Night, but his mode is much shorter)

Kazuya might be higher depending on the presentation in less than a week - I'm not super familiar with Tekken (I've played a few games, but I haven't gotten too deep into them), but I find Heihachi more interesting from a design standpoint.

Alright, y'all were yammering about newcomer rankings before. Now it's MY turrrrrrrrrrrrrrn har har harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr nyarrrrrrrrrrrrr oh ho ho ho hooooooooooo myarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

:ultinkling: : Ya know... I'm neither a kid nor a squid... I'm actually pretty indifferent. Didn't play Splatoon, don't really like the online multiplayer scene so much... Inkling is clearly one of Nintendo's new big things so it makes sense. I neither hate it nor love it... it falls into my "indifferent" reaction!

:ultdaisy: : Daisy WOW haha so near yet so far haha! Daisy was one of my most wanteds of all fighters! But I had imagined her as being a sports themed fighter rather than just a Peach clone... Daisy doesn't really have much association with the Toads, blue or any other color, much less vegetable tossing. I LOVE her because she's Daisy but I'm disappointed because it's not Striker/Sports Daisy... ohhhh the conundrum there.

:ultridley: : RIDLEY hahaha Ultimate's first big "never ever" that actually came to happen! I love him! I love his stock Toho monster (Megaguirus a bit?) roar taunt. I love that they ACTUALLY made him work, despite previously saying he was too big! He's wonderful! After this fighter, never let it be said that the fans don't get listened to.

:ultsimon::ultrichter: : The only Castlevania I even kinda know is old school Castlevania, so I love these guys. Great trailer, ABSOLUTELY LOVE that they both still have the "Castlevania Walk" as their standard walk animation, nothing quite like power walking through Dracula's castle to slap him with a whip hahaha. I can't play as either of them effectively to save my life but I do like them pretty good. Also JUST HOW MANY SQUATS DOES SIMON DO? JIMINY CHRISTMAS CRACKERS HE'S BUFF!

:ultkrool: : OH... OH... KING K ROOL! I screamed in JOY when he was revealed! He was the next "never ever" after Ridley and he got in, pretty much just as fans imagined him to be! He is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! One of Ultimate's VERY BEST newcomers IMO

:ultchrom: : Oh I suppose he's here too... yeah, he's ok. I'd probably like him more if I cared about Fire Emblem but yeah he's neat. Kinda odd that he's Roy's echo yet has one of Ike's moves but I suppose that just makes him a bit unique among the echoes.

:ultdarksamus: : Now Dark Samus is cool! A bit of a shame Dark Samus doesn't have the Phazon moves the Wii U assist trophy had so KIND OF a Daisy situation where I'm glad they're here just wish they were a bit different. Still, Dark Samus is really neat and I actually like Dark Samus's floatiness vs regular Samus.

:ultken: : Ken Masters... among the Street Fighter characters, he's kind of in my "least favorite" pile but eh, more Street Fighter is always good in my book. Would have preferred Sakura tho... he ranks as an "eh" for me.

:ultincineroar: : hahahaha I LOVE HIM! He's another one of my favorite Ultimate newcomers! Incineroar very quickly rose the ranks and became my favorite Fire Starter Pokemon! He's such a BUTT being a heel wrestler and all. I adore his whole thing! It's like he PURELY EXISTS to upset people and I love him! One of my go-tos for Smash!

:ultpiranha: : I LOVE HIM TOO HAHAHAHA Piranha Plant is easily one of the weirder characters to join Smash but I LOVE IT for that reason and he's actually really fun to play too! If you'd gone back in time and told me that "Ultimate is going to have DLC and the first DLC character is a Piranha Plant" I'd have laughed you out of the room but here we go! He's real and he's real GOOD too!

:ultjoker: : Didn't play Persona 5, have no connection to the series so I would mostly be "eh" on Joker if it weren't for the music. The music MAKES this character IMO.

:ulthero4: : DRAGON QUEST however I ABSOLUTELY ADORE! And them in SMASH I adore just as much! My favorite part of the 4 characters (apart from there being 4 at all) is that they all have their "Ultimate" swords and shields with them. Also Dragon Quest IV love is always good, Solo ends up being the one I play as most with his Zenithian Sword and Shield. EASILY one of my VERY FAVORITE Ultimate newcomers, BAR NONE!

:ultbanjokazooie: : This is gonna be blasphemy to some but... I have never played Banjo-Kazooie and everything I've seen of the game just looks kind of annoying. The character plays really good in Smash though, so I love playing as them, I just wish I had a better connection to them.

:ult_terry: : My connection to Terry is SLIGHTLY better, I saw the old anime thing years back and I kinda knew King of Fighters from PS2's KOF: Maximum Impact, but it didn't really leave an Impact on me, Maximum or otherwise. Overall, pretty "eh" on Terry, though I do love him yelling things in Engrish.

:ultbyleth: : Really wish I cared more about Fire Emblem. THOUGH, Byleth, once you get the hang of them, is pretty fun. Fun to land the hammer on people and such because they really whack you when they land. Once again... just wish I cared more about Fire Emblem. I rank them on the higher end of "eh".

:ultminmin : Min Min's cute! I really didn't enjoy the demo of ARMS that I played, the controls were wonky (kept throwing when I'd try to defend and such) and frankly, much like with Splatoon I really don't care for the online multiplayer focus... but I like the idea. And Min Min is easily the most visually striking of all those characters so it's good to see her here, even if she is a little hard to figure out. "Pretty neat" is what I'd rank her.

:ultsteve: : STEVE hahahaha many a rumor claimed he'd turn up in this game and at last he finally did and he's just as weird as I thought he'd be hahaha! I've never played Minecraft, don't care to (sim/building games aren't for me), but I love this character, the dude straight up broke Twitter, my Minecraft playing brother went ballistic... I gotta say... I love this dude and I love the fact that both him AND Banjo got in when people were taking camps for one or the other. A happy ending.

:ultsephiroth: : Suffice to say, I popped in Advent Children Complete (one of my favorite films ever made) after he was revealed! I. ADORE THIS! Sephiroth, in Super Smash Bros! I was part of the Geno thread at that time and while I would have loved playable Geno, I was also open to the possibilities of other Square fighters (I got yelled at for that and disparaged) and Sephiroth is PERFECT! I mean... IT'S PLAYABLE SEPHIROTH! NUFF SAID! Very high hype for this one, one of Ultimate's best!

:ultpyra::ultmythra: : I LOVED Xenoblade 2! Was a bit bummed when Smash Ultimate only had Mii and Spirits and a couple low volume songs for it (which is more than what other games got to be clear) but like... when they were revealed, I replayed Xenoblade 2 and Torna on New Game + and I LOVED it all over again! Annoying my brother with Photon Edge is wonderful haha I love these two! Two of my favorites!

:ultkazuya:: Cliff.png

I used to quote the cliff thing from Tekken: The Motion Picture all the time prior to his reveal... now that he's here... I have clearance to ask people why they're so upset all the time hahahahahahahahah "IS IT BECAUSE YOUR FATHER THREW YOU OFF THAT CLIFF?" I love it! I'll have to see how Kazuya plays and yeah he's not the first Tekken fighter I would have imagined in Smash (was expecting Jin or Heihachi and hoping for Lars) but having another villain in Smash is so good, especially one that's so upset because his father threw him off that cliff hahaha

And that's my wall o Smash rankings. I'm off to go grab Burger King. Be back in a bit.

Eh, as far as important Sonic characters go Rouge is fairly low on the list. It's why Shadow, Knuckles, Tails, and Eggman are talked about so often and not like, Rouge, Cream & Cheese, and Team Chaotix and whatnot despite them being neat.

As far as gameplay goes though, I'm pretty sure Rouge is just Knuckles with less source material so she wouldn't have much to offer that an important character wouldn't also provide. I'd personally hold off on Rouge until we're like, 3 or 4 characters in (gives her time to get more substantial appearances to pull from too).

(also canonically Dark Samus is an exact replica of Samus even though that makes 0 sense so she is unambiguously female according to that cannon)

I see. Then maybe Knuckles could come with Rouge as an echo?

S: :ult_terry::ultisabelle:
Two of my most wanted characters. Seeing them both get in was a dream come true (especially in Terry's case).

A: :ultpyra:/:ultmythra::ultchrom::ulthero2::ultbyleth:
I was hoping for all of these games/series to be represented in some form. While the rest could've been a tad better gameplay-wise, I'm still really glad they got in. Chrom is the only outlier: I didn't really care if Awakening got another rep but he's just so fun to use.

B: :ultkrool::ultsephiroth::ultdaisy::ultinkling::ultken::ultsimon:/:ultrichter:
Not exactly characters I was rooting for but I'm still really satisfied with their inclusions.

C: :ultminmin:ultdarksamus::ultridley::ultbanjokazooie::ultjoker:
No strong feelings one way or the other. Min Min would probably be higher but I'm just not a fan of her moveset.

D: :ultincineroar::ultpiranha::ultsteve:
I'd swap these for just about any other character. Steve I can at least acknowledge as having a ton of effort into his moveset, but I'd still prefer basically anyone else.

-----

Not going to rank Kazuya yet though I imagine he'd be around B or C.

For the most part, base is good. I honestly like it overall, even if they're not my personal choices. At most, I only liked one character in an AT form due to the perfect personality factor, but I'm not legitimately miffed. I'm just noting how I feel. It's a very solid roster. I still found Brawl's somewhat better, but by only a tad. Mostly cause I 100% liked those choices, while the base roster here is probably closer to 91%? If I did the math right(since 11 base characters). Meh, percentages are a math thing I'm not good at. XD

For DLC, I'm still quite pleased. I have two categories of "who I'd replace" as well;

Characters who I'd rather have and could replace, though that doesn't mean they'd be better options overall;
  • Fulgore over Banjo & Kazooie. I simply like one more. We got a very deserving one, though.
  • Hector over Byleth. Hector's the last FE character I really want in. Byleth still covers the Axe route a bit, so it's fine.
  • Agumon over Kazuya. Digimon's my bread and butter.
Then there's some who I had simply preferred someone more, but I still love them in and wouldn't try to replace them(only includes 2 DLC mind you);
  • Shy Guy over Piranha Plant. New Yoshi character and a race of mooks I love.
  • Slime over Hero. It's one of my favorite characters. Hero I adore playing.
  • Mimikyu over Incineroar. I loved the little guy.
Like the only base newcomer I still wanted more without changing any franchises is Mr. Resetti, but I still love how Isabelle was implemented. I pretty much knew she was going to be a regular Model Swap Fighter instead of an Echo thanks to somoene(I'm pretty sure it's Opossum?) who pointed out they don't have the actual same bodyshape. That made me realize how impossible it is. It didn't take long for me to actually overlay the models to be sure I read the details right, and then I saw an Isabelle mod of Villager and saw how bad it looked. Only thing I would've liked more is if she was more focused on work projects beyond aesthetics. Not just an alternate Villager style moveset. I mean, it makes sense and all, but I felt it could be cooler. Speaking of designs/etc. otherwise, I miss classic style adult Link. No, Young Link doesn't count. I didn't mind it that much cause it was a cool change, but having no Hookshot/Clawshot or equivalent along with the Gale Boomerang understandably gone feels like quite a big change to me. Technically, it might not be, as the changes to all characters to a next game are never actually big in context. They're meant to always be similar to the previous one to make sure nobody is alienated. I don't feel it worked entirely as planned.

My tier list of the Smash newcomers would be

SSS: :ultpyra:/:ultmythra:, :ultsephiroth:
S: :ultbanjokazooie:, :ultjoker:, :ultkrool:,:ultridley:,:ultkazuya:
A: :ultsteve:, :ultsimon:/:ultrichter:, :ult_terry:, :ultken:
B: :ulthero3:, :ultinkling:, :ultchrom:, :ultpiranha:, :ultisabelle:
C: :ultdarksamus:, :ultincineroar:,:ultbylethf:, :ultminmin
F: :ultdaisy:

I think Daisy was kind of a waste where she could have just been an alt, the fact that there's no differences to her and Peach at all really disappoint me compared to the rest of the Echo Fighters.
There is. But it's not one that actually will have any effect 99.9999999999999999% of the time. She has slightly different hurtboxes due to other animations. She's not 100% Peach with a coat of paint.

It's still sucky and she should be wayyyyyyyy better, though. As should the rest.

Nyarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr AH da dee DOO!

Actually could be pretty good depending on how it's done.
On one hand, part of me wants a FFIX remake.
On the other hand, part of me is concerned that a FFIX remake would suck.
I guess this is an acceptable third option.

With a detailed second half Switch lineup, they are various games that may have its own spirit event.

  • Monster Hunter Stories 2 (July)
  • NEO TWEWY (July)
  • No More Heroes 3 (August)
  • Metroid Dread (October)
  • Shin Megami Tensei V (November)

Final Fantasy IX is my favorite game ever so it’s awesome to see it get any attention at all. Hopefully the show is good.

Time to do this

:ultinkling:: an obvious inclusion, but I love Splatoon and the initial trailer was perfect. 8/10

:ultdaisy:: I really like Daisy, and I'm glad she's here, I wish she was more unique 5/10

:ultridley:: Metroid needed another rep, Ridley fits the bill, I don't have any strong feelings on Ridley 6/10

:ultsimon::ultrichter:: This was a great pick, I would have been disappointed if it was barbarian Simon only, then Richter came in and I was real happy 7/10

:ultchrom:: I'm happy he's in, I dislike how his inclusion didn't change up anything about Robin 6/10

:ultdarksamus::
5/10

:ultkrool: : I have no strong feeling on K. Rool either, I do love how he looks in this game though 6/10

:ultisabelle: : Isabelle was my most wanted at the time and I'm glad she made it in 9/10

:ultken: : I think ken is a bit more boring then Ryu, but Ken is such an obvious choice i'm glad he's here 6/10

:ultincineroar: : I love incinieroar, His gimmick and theme is great, and in smash he has so much damn personality 8/10

:ultpiranha: : The joke worked on me, and it's fun to play as 7/10

:ultjoker: : This dude came completely out of nowhere, and I love it, The addition of Persona 3 & 4 music blew me away and I love his inclusion 9/10

:ulthero: : Dragon Quest is great and I'm glad it has some representation 8/10

:ultbanjokazooie: : I also have no strong opinion on them, The hype was infectious though 6/10

:ult_terry: : The Sleeper hit, I had a passing knowledge of KOF before him, but right as he was leaked, I became a big fan of the franchise and quickly became one of my favorites in the game 9/10

:ultbyleth: : The trailer was a bit bad so that hindered my hype a bit but afterwords, I like how Byleth plays and Garreg mach was one of my most wanted stages 7/10

:ultminmin : Min Min was my favorite arms charater, and I'm happy she's here 8/10

:ultsteve: : This pick was so damn funny and perfect, who plays interestingly 9/10

:ultsephiroth: : Another unexpected one, and he was quite legendary 8/10

:ultpyra: :ultmythra: : I loved Xenoblade 2, I found Rex a bit boring so when Pyra and Mythra came alone I got hyped. I love their playstyle too, This pick was still quite lowkey though. 8/10

:ultkazuya: : Unexpected but great, Tekken was always a franchise I liked so it's cool to see it in smash 8/10

I was never on this website when ARMS fighter speculation rose up but JUST for fun, I'll say this:
I'm personally glad Twintelle wasn't the chosen rep only because I think having her hair be the arms and repping a game called "ARMS" would be odd.

The only reason I'd take her is one of the biggest reasons I wanted Kid Cobra to be the ARMS rep: I figured it'd be easy for her to pick up items and not make it look like a glitch through the arm.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Be nice to play those games Nintendo.
Sonic Battle for the GBA is one of my very favorite video games ever made. I have my old cartridge but I'd love another way to play it so I don't have to risk my cartridge and such.

FUN FACT:

The "Japanese" version of Sonic Battle is one of the only other Sonic games beyond Shadow the Hedgehog with DIRTY LANGUAGE hahaha! If you play the Japanese version and turn on the English text language, Rouge refers to Eggman as a "dirty buzzard"... except she doesn't say buzzard....

Also the bit where Emerl tells Amy that her punch "got not juice, fool!"

So much of this game man... hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng I love it!
