We are just wasting time letting mafia think of an alias. We need to the nameclaim on day 1 or its worthless

I'd prefer to just role claim when the time comes.

After doing some thought on the issue(sorry this won't be as long as I would like, gotta be up in 5.5 hours so I'm gonna make this quick), I'm beginning to think that Marshy may be right about the name-claim. I'm still not entirely sold on the idea, but I'm not against it any more, more neutral leaning toward doing it. I do agree though that if we're going to do it, this is the ONLY day when it will really be worth much.
are we really gonna move towards kk? it seems like every game he's in Town just lynches him and/or smashbot out of impatience. not considering that he's simply bad at phrasing things and keep running into the same wall as a result. doesn't grant him immunity but i honestly think that if he was mafia he'd be flushed out sooner or later anyway.
there's also that he's already at 4/7 and we haven't even nameclaimed yet. he has enough pressure that a response is warranted.

you're right only ronike and kevinm had votes on him. thought yaya did too since he bolded his fos and i just took it as a vote skimming through.

Yeah after rereading posts I have found quite a few bad phrasings of things. Ok I never said it would not help my phrasing just screwed it up. I said it would be hard to pretend your something your not. Also its easy to tell whats a mafia character and whats a town character. What I said originally sounded very odd and made it sound like I was advocating it because it would not work. I am sorry for what happened and I will make sure I don't screw up my phrasing from now on.

I agree with Pythag here - What you did was go with the flow, make a safe vote, agree with everybody else, and add nothing to the discussion. How does nameclaim help the mafia? It puts pressure on them and especially in this game makes it hard for them to fake a name.
Also, I think you misread KK's post anyway. I thought he meant that the roles would be mostly well-known dinos, so it'd be hard for mafia to fake.

Reread the thread to see what you meant. You and Pythag need to cool the suspicion.
And I messed up- THIS game, name claims don't help maf. And no matter the game type, maf could always fake the roles.

Yes, maf could fake roles, but it's much more difficult in this game, because there are only so many well-known dinosaurs that aren't carnivorous. The chance of fake-claiming a dino that somebody actually has is fairly high.

please please please if you see something wrong with someone's claim don't point it out until everybody has gone. if mafia x found out because townie a pointed out something wrong halfway through the nameclaim, mafia y may be able to tweak his claim to avoid making that mistake. so if you're itching to say something just encourage everybody to go through with it before saying it

I highly doubt that these two nearly identical dinosaurs would both be included in the game - Just look at the pictures - They have the same oddly shaped type of head.
I have reason to believe either Mentos or Pythag is mafia.

I also think we should be inspecting closer... mafia may take more precautions and decide to choose a lesser known dino- such as Pythag's Giraffatitan.
