My first game had private communication involved (yuck) and I was a mafia goon. I convinced the Vigi and Doc that I was the Cop and got him to NKill the Cop while we killed the Vigi. Doc got lynched the next day because I claimed he was in cahoots with me and the Vigi and said he would protect the Vigi. I promptly got lynched the next day, but it was too late for town.

Note that this was the first game played on that website, however, I immediately recognized that I loved this game.

Schade. I've been there [a lot].

My first game was a 2:18 Werewolf:Town game in which all Town were Vanilla and the Werewolves had a one-shot infect [or, recruit] that was activated whenever the werewolf was first lynched.

I was infected, even though I was a total nub, and my partner carried us to the win.

That was around four years ago though. And rules and play were different then. I'm not sure that would be considered balanced anymore. And recruiting is lame anyways.

My first game of forum Mafia was in the BRoom. It was an "assassins" style game where there are no PRs, but instead there are assassins trying to kill the kings. I was town and decided to play a little crazy. I ended up claiming a power role just to gauge reactions from everyone and ended up nailing both scum perfectly. Town lynched me, but I built a case against both assassins before I went down.

... then the town ignored everything I said and let scum win. So painful.

Since we're talking about first games, my first one was Omis' unlucky 13 here. I was a role cop, and found a mason recruiter early on. When the masons made a strong connection and everyone was calling them out, I stepped in and lightly pushed against it. Eventually, with one maf dead I believe, someone CC'd my cop claim(which had been in the open a day at that point) after I got a guilty on them. I made a case about my defending Rockin and I believe it was Jungle and their whole connection, and got the CC lynched. The next day I was CC'd again by the final mafia, who I also had a guilty on, and promptly got him lynched for the town win Then it all slowly went downhill from thereXD

That's some of the worst mafia play I've ever heard. CCing someone an entire Day after is bad enough in most scenarios, but doing it when they've guiltied you is just blatantly transparent. Then I dunno about the second guy, I guess he could have argued it was an elaborate bus and he wasn't fallin' for none o' dat, but that still seems pretty outrageous and bad.

EDIT: Then again you're probably painting the anecdote as favorably for yourself as possible, as many are wont to do, so who's to say without the context of the game

My first mafia game, after coming back from a year-ish hiatus, with a team of inactive vet (I think, or just an equivalent) who got killed early on and inactive newbie or bad player. We were sunk if the mason thing had been confirmed (confirmed mason group and cop) and they got some lucky protects iirc. We were both supposed to CC cop on the same day, but either town quick lynched someone else, my partner went MIA, or something of the sort. The plan was get one of us killed, have the remaining mafia play it onto mentos, and by that point we were hoping killing the mason recruiter meant death for all in the mason group because that plus 1 equaled mafia endgaming, even with one person left. Also, it was meant as a "The mafia can't be that dumb to try that" sort of thing. Obviously didn't go as planned.

Very true, Tom got taken out early and Jungle got to mason Rockin instead of dying. And yes, like Ronike said it was pretty much a desperation move of himself to be the second cop CC. Never tried to make it sound like it was a bad move Also, as a addendum to my post about it, Mac actually shot Ronike on the final day with his second vig shot while he was at L-1
