i dont get the vgbootcamp hate...at pound 4 they had good food and the vids were good...and at apex the livestream was good quality and i mean at least they tried w/ the interviews and all, getting some professionalism...how do they negatively impact your tourney experience at all

I may have a proposition to offer, although I haven't decided which one to offer. I can guarantee you that I will upload tournament videos overnight each night of the tournament. And if you don't believe me on the over night part, check out the upload dates on some of the tournament videos in the above videos thread. About half of them were uploaded the night of the tournament. No one else in the Smash community does this and I did this with an upload speed of only about 5-8 Mb/s on my college internet connection. Also, check out the quality. I record individual tournament sets to individual files and upload those files straight to youtube. And if viewers don't have the patience to wait until the set actually starts, each unsplit video has annotation links straight to where each round starts. Who else can do what I do? Feel free to call me arrogant or whatever.

But here's my 2 propositions

I can record the Melee main stage instead of Waffles but have Waffles commentate anytime.

I can record the Brawl main stage and not have individual sets recorded into individual files.

Brawl sets take much longer than 15 minutes and youtube won't let free users, with exceptions that I don't qualify for, upload videos of 15 minutes or longer in length. So for each tournament set, I may have to try recording the first 2 games of the set in one file and game 3 in a second (if the set is a best of 3, and you see 2 games in a single video, you won't know if the video will end in a 0-2, 1-1, or 2-0 until it happens, and if it happens to be a 1-1, viewers will be linked to the third video. But this is assuming no one tries to time out anyone.

I really don't know which option to chose. Both sides have heavy opportunity costs. If I don't chose Melee, I'll get Brawl and Brawl is much less watched than Melee on youtube. Compare the view counts on these two videos (these are the most viewed videos I can find for each game, someone from the Brawl community link me a video with more views so I can make a fair argument)

But if I chose Melee, what does Brawl get? a few 5,000 view count videos of Genesis grand finals, aside from the first game of grand finals which now has 16,000?

I don't see any problem with this. People do flock to waffles' channel, but if you upload the videos FASTER (Waffles does get behind with stuff sometimes) with HIS commentary, then what would anybody be *****ing about?

people who didn't go to the tournament are going to want the videos uploaded as quickly as possible. you're not just trying to please the people there, the people at home matter also.

but seriously, there are a lot of other things going on during the event to have to upload matches the NIGHT of. our main priority is to deliver an awesome event for the people who are present. if we find someone (possibly UsurperKingZant, or others) willing to upload matches at the hotel room after every day, then go for it.

we still have to figure out and find out whos doing what as far as recording matches goes.

we have a long way to go, and i dont want to make any promises right now.

@UsurperKingZant: your proposition is being taken into consideration, and when the time comes to figure that stuff out, we will get in contact with you.

Looking at a lot of their uploaded videos, the quality is poor, and a lot of the videos start 2 stock into the match, not to mention the pace at which they upload videos is far from being on time. not trying to hate or anything, but thats just how it is, and we would rather not use their services.

It could be a best of 3.
Round 1: Spar
Round 2: Melee Dubs
Round 3: One Twin spars, the other plays Melee and the winner of that.... stuff. Idk.
