If you want me to lower the quality and match the look and "style" of other recorders... well, I don't like it but I can try =).
You do realize I alone could probably replace 3-5 people =)

im not doubting your ability at all. most of the stuff im even saying about recording will probably be changed. its 6 months away, and for now its on the back burner.
i know what you can do and how well your videos look (awesome btw) so if we decide on using your services in the future i will let you know personally. (that is if you do end up coming)
for now its mainly just my equipment doing the majority of the main screen recording.
if you want to talk more about specifics and stuff or want to just let me know more about what you want to offer as far as recording stuff feel free to msg me anytime =)

What I can "offer as far as recording stuff" right now is just quality recording from 3-5 TVs.
I will likely be busy hosting a 1-week tournament right after this, but since the cutting, naming and encoding is done automatically, I can pretty much promise a constant speed of 300 matches per day.
Also, I'm starting to get the hang of livestreaming, with never-before-seen quality at so low bitrates that any mobile connection should handle it. Though I think you said it kills the hype so you may not be interested.

Yeah, I mean the fact that ppls streams are REALLY crappy ( WGF, Waffles, Apex ) is definitely a huge flaw in people who record. Hopefully Ajp will fix that 
Another one is the speed of uploading and the amount of matches, I mean sure, people have lives, but cmon 20 matches after 3 weeks ?
Ajp records thousands of matches and has them all up in much higher quality after a day or two >_>.

cheapest one on there from the 6th, to 24th of July, for $1,145 ( £709.86 ) but it looks like that might be the average price for a round trip ticket
to be honest, i dont really keep up with any uploaded videos or who does them. So if i offended you some how in not knowing who you were then i apologize. Im not doubting your skill, cause you sound like you have things completely under control when it comes to recording, encoding, quality and uploading, and the 300 matches per day sounds pretty amazing to me lol.
The thing with live stream is that we dont even have an internet connection at the venue. The most we can probably get would be a tethered cellphone connection. Ive never heard of any live stream being broad casted through a mobile connection, but if you insist you have a way, them im interested in seeing it.

I guess I'm not so famous over there yet =).
Short intro: Pretty much the only reason I record is to learn more about video editing/encoding to achieve even better quality. With everything I do, I either do it properly or not at all. If there is even the slightest mistake in my video processing, *anything*, I want it fixed and won't rest until it's done.
(Didn't feel like PMing, in case there are more who don't know me =)).

Its like having two car repair shops, one owned by your uncle, and one owned by the new guy in town. Sure, the new guy has an extensive list of star qualities, but your uncle is your uncle.

Let's say two people (like Armada and Amsah) who agree mutually want to play on a certain set up like let's say Anton's recording set up for example, due to not liking commentary, like playing with game music off but with game sounds on, then they should be able to choose to play on Anton's set up even if the main recording set up is HMW's.
Is it true that most Europeans want to have recorded matches with no commentary, game music off, with game sounds on?

Which is why I'm trying to broaden my audience by recording hype matches in an american tournament.
Lack of commentary has been mainly because of lack of microphones. I have never even tried it, but hopefully it will work once there is one available.
Europeans have realized that turning down/off the game music greatly improves the overall experience in big tournaments =). Being in that constant noise doesn't really make you feel good...

Regardless of what the players want, if that doesnt fall inline with the TO's wishes, then he can simply not allow it.
Moreover, if you're called to play on TV 6 (the hypothetical projecter/main recording TV) why are you going to not only disrupt the tourny by requesting a different TV, but also a less convenient TV for those who wish to watch the actual match?

Oh I see, Alan. If this is the case, then Boback should have the power to choose who to have the main recording set up. I wish Boback chooses Anton's recording set up though (if Anton goes).

he's not some guy who got no experience and isn't known, that's how I feel you guys are treating him
he's offering to do it out of respect
his vids show his quality and there's no doubt about it, everyone is always thankful for what he does.
He brought his computer to SNY (our biggest European tourney) and even did my vids which I was mad impressed. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and has done it several times before.
Even when there has been problems he figures ways to fix them as best as possible
Btw, I just found a £612 flight on that site you said sidefx, thanks =) I'm gonna book on saturday after checking my local holiday places to see if they can offer better
(and there's a lot of websites offering this so I dont think it'll go up much or fast)
This flight is Wednesday 29th June -> 18-21st July which is very do-able =) I'm so there guys!

I much rather have the commentary of Waffles for hyped matches. It just makes it more entertaining to watch.
Quality is good and all...but it's a 10 year old game. What differences in quality there will be between ajp and waffles will be very minimal and hardly noticeable in my opinion.
I don't think anyone is treating him like some guy with no experience, we are just happy with HMW's recording and if it ain't broke, don't change it.

for all i know i might need him on the mic at a SEPARATE location doing the commentary which would make him unable to record. or perhaps someone else is recording and commentating

It's funny you mention HMW. He still doesn't deinterlace his videos, and he insists on making his videos extra wide. Maybe some people think it looks better, who knows, but it's still wrong. And he's still one of the best out there.
Also, what's keeping him from commentating on my setup?
An example of the things I do for my videos:
My computer broke* so I had to borrow one that apparently couldn't handle the recording. It dropped frames like crazy. I fixed it. It took a few days to figure out how, who else would've even tried?
*doesn't sound very reliable I know =). Hadn't finished building the computer yet so it was completely open. Someone touched the insides and it shorted.
