Yeah, the entire point of it is to "fix Brawl by making everyone broken," which pretty clearly spells out the (NOT SERIOUS BUSINESS) intentions of the project.

brawl+ was a project originally meant to balance gameplay. brawl- is a parody completed by different programmers, since it's constructed to have a lot of "cheap" or "broken" aspects

i hope this clears up any confusion.
Lol I'm so tempted to click on that final link, just because the URL says idiot in it XD

I'm starting to understand Melee way too much to quit now lol.

I wish SSFIV didn't look so good ugh. The fact that Reno beat Justin Wong also makes me realize anyone can get to be a top level pro as long as they practice/play people. Ugh, decisions decision. I'm going to think about this while I take a shower xD.

Edit: Just to be clear this post is me deciding if I want to pick up ANOTHER game, not quit Melee. I will never quit Melee, I love this game way too much to quit.

That's horrible but you made it sound funny. I feel horrible right now anyways.

I love Jet Li way too much in order to think he has a bad movie.

The One really was terrible.

I love Melee, I always have and I always will. But one day I realized that I wasn't playing it anymore. It's like I quit without telling myself.

I'm glad the parade went well XD
You didn't shave this morning, did you? I hope you're remembering my sagely wisdom.
We finally finished shooting my wife's production 2 film this weekend... feels so friggin good to be done but we definitely shot in like 20 degree weather with crazy wind on a beach really early in the morning. Probably the coldest I've ever been, ever... the wind was so bad. And the tide started coming in so the tripod got hit with waves a couple times LOL o_O

I get up at 6am btw... :dizzy:

What a coincidence Jam, I came to the very same conclusion recently. Except I actually told myself :(

Barely any tournies or players in md/va anymore, so I think it's time for me to move on to other things. I'm actually very fond of spending a lot of my weekends catching up on classic films that I never saw instead of attending tournaments.

Why, just this last weekend I finally saw Dr. Strangelove. Never have I enjoyed a comedy pre-dating The Hangover as much as this. I mean it hit me like a ton of bricks, the laughs just kept coming after a somewhat slow beginning. Peter Sellers is a comedic genius, and Kubrick is out of his mind. Wtf it seems like every week I watch a new Kubrick film and it is a COMPLETELY different genre than the last.

Here's to hoping 2001 doesn't disappoint like Full Metal Jacket!

I hung out with Darc and ArcNatural this whole past weekend. We went to a tourney, but I didn't really play much smash.

I start feeling lonely after a while of watching movies and episodes of How I Met Your Mother.

FMJ was great while they were in basic training...and then the rest of the movie is like, "Huh?"

I still love competitive gaming, and I was sad that I couldn't attend my tournament, even though I'd played Melee maybe twice since December. And I fully intend to attend Guilty Gear and Street Fighter tournaments this year.

I don't know what happened. Before, even though I couldn't go to tournaments or meetups, I would play Smash by myself all the time. I don't do that anymore. And my mentality has changed: I used to think that DI was great and one of the things that really set Smash apart from traditional 2-D fighters. When I went to Vernon a few weeks ago, I found myself thinking, "DI is really stupid."

And I don't know why. Like I said, it's like these changes occurred without my conscious mind's approval. I want to host another tournament this summer, and that's what I find the most frustrating: Why do I want to host a tournament for a game that I no longer play? I literally only entered the bracket in my last tournament to deepen the pot. and I went two and out.

SSF IV is going to be incredible and I'm going to go to tournaments for it I think. The Melee scene around here is pretty much the same people playing ALL the time....even in tournament.

I play Spife, Roman, Banks, Th0rn, solar, most of the time and every now and then someone like jman, eggm, or hax goes to an event and plays.

I just feel like the Melee community is the same batch of kids unless you REALLY TRAVEL.

Like honestly, I've played Spife, kyu puff, roman, and solar like a billion times.

lol.

The diversity of the melee community unless you travel like 3-4 states out is pretty much the same every tournament. Like, its like "oh my god, time to play Fox. Something completely new." That's the problem with smash sometimes. I'm sick of playing the same five characters on the same five stages with the same music all the time. Street Fighter expands that.

Sf is not as advanced as smash but there are a lot more match ups to learn than in Melee.

Oh I'm almost always watching movies with friends, rarely by myself. Unless it's a movie like Magnolia, which in retrospect was a great idea to watch alone. I didn't want anyone to see me punch a hole in the wall when the frogs started falling.

YUP! Especially that painful PAINFUL ending.

PAX was beast.

Daz is mad cool. Jake forgot who I was.

I basically got to play zero Melee because all the TVs for flatscreens, and no-one had a memory card for the Cube with Melee data.

Hmm... I go to tournaments to play a few fun matches but mostly to see friends.

Cog perhaps you can clear something up for me, why is it that EVERY single dvd special I look at of Kubrick films NEVER have KUBRICK HIMSELF TALKING ABOUT THE MOVIE. WHY he died in 1998 right? So why is there no footage of him talking about The Shining or Dr. Strangelove? What, did he never want to be interviewed or something

Really? I don't really like watching movies with friends unless it's something fantastic or profound that I want them to see. If I'm with friends I'd rather do something or just hang out and talk than sit and watch a movie.

IMO friends tend to be distracting from the movie, and the movie tends to be distracting from friends.

That is correct, unless of course you have friends who enjoy cinema as much as you and then BAM it's now 100 times better than watching it alone.

afaik he was a bit of a hermit and pretty dang press-shy. he also kind of hated hollywood and refused to fly in planes. I dunno... his wiki probably goes into this. which of his films have you not seen yet? I just have barry lyndon and paths of glory left.

It's better for me to say which ones I have seen lol

Spartacus, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, and too much of Full Metal Jacket.

I think the only ones I want to see now are 2001 and Paths of Glory.
