If I were bigoted I don't think I would talk to and hang out with Everett (Sinz) nearly as much as I do (did,) nor would I be able to respect my grandmother and her partner for who they are.

My guess is that you feel threatened by me, for whatever reason it may be- because I've called you out, on several occasions, for being a mediocre melee player? perhaps that's it- and so feel inclined to call ME out on something, putting a lot of your eggs in one basket (AKA making a huge assumption!) one which you at one point (before this reply perhaps? or maybe you think this is one giant bull**** lie) thought you had a HUGE lead into some flaw in my character, and you thought you could somehow exploit it and maybe change others' view of me into what YOU believed to be true?
I assure you though, I'm not this mean, evil-spirited person that means to do you harm and ruin your life due to my homophobic tendencies, I'm quite the reverse. I want everyone to be happy, but if people won't allow themselves to be happy, this may be a problem (it may even be my problem!) it's something that I can't fix.
I'd still be willing to be your friend, but I've known people who have a similar mindset- they meet someone and due to their own prejudices can never truly like another person, due to how they look, act, or sometimes even because of what they own, or how talented they are.
These people have two tendencies, first, they're primarily republican, and second (this may be redundant, due to already raising the fact that they're republicans) they're usually very stubborn, unchanging, and lack the ability to adapt.
If that IS you, well then ****! I've deduced another thing about you- you failed at having any success in Melee because you're so ****ing easy to read!

I never liked Dekar, but that's mainly because he just plays brawl and bashes melee. There, I said it.

We shouldn't be hated on for liking a different game. I'd like to say to each their own, but some people just can't accept that. Dekar prolly sees that, so why not at least have a little fun trying to get them back?
In the end, we'll all be together at the same smashfest (if the holders aren't *******s) and IRL, nobody I've ever met from Smashboards has been that bad.

Also, to be honest, Tony was doing the same thing to me like a month ago...because I said I like brawl combo videos...

Look, InterimOfZeal, Dekar173, people need conflict like they need air; that's human nature. People also have freewill and see things differently. These things don't have to be bad. Trying to peg any religious/political/(smash) orientation as the same thing for everyone in it is never accurate, and what wars have been about throughout history: subjective. Don't go there. The two of you are ultimately on the same page. Say only what you mean and can fully support and settle this.

So ya, gaareat smashfest, much thanks tim for hosting. sorry for leaving early, started getting a pretty bad headache and didn't want it to get any worse. but anyways, fun matches, i wasn't playing very well today, w/e was fun tho. nice seeing moblin ferdi mikezor and others, fun matches.

Anyway, fact is that you thought I was gay, and had no qualms using it against me. Pretty weak stuff.
As for me being a mediocre Melee player, I've been recognized by people on the few occasions I do go out of state, and normally place better than most of CO when we do go OoS. I lose to Jeris and LoVo on a consistent basis in Melee, have a mostly even record with Ferdi in tournament (cuz he ****s around and doesn't care, still his favour, though), and have a winning record against the rest of CO, except for ~maybe~ Nite. We might be even, I'm not really sure. So yeah, talk all the noise you want, but at the end, the only people in the 4 corners area that can beat me are in CO, and possibly Taj/Forward/maybe there's someone good in AZ? I dunno, I think they're still rusty, but I haven't been keeping up. UT and NM can't see me, I can guarantee that.
That's not saying I'm top-dog, or anything of the sort. I've choked in Melee when it came time to make real money or prove myself (CO vs Popsicle Patrol, anyone?), buuut I've also had my share of victories.
CO has really talented players. It's not like I live in NM and can just steamroll my competition. I'd rather be humble in a good state than arrogant in a mediocre one, anyway.
But hey, you're good at Brawl. Or at least, you're better than the thousands of terrible players. Kudos, either way.

I meant to tell you at the Timfest (that neither of us went to), but my chances of going are slim. I'm probably not going to get the money I wanted to go, and plus I still haven't gotten new glasses (driving new places without being able to see is a no-no).

Little backstory for the boxing match:
Taj kept asking me to box him, I told him I didn't really box. Because of how HORRIBLE AZ One Two was run, I ended up getting bored enough to challenge a man to a sport I've never played before, on the condition that I take off my glasses as long as he doesn't hit me in the face. Bad idea for two reasons:
1) I'm legally blind without them.
2) I should have known that Taj only agreed to that so that he COULD hit me in the face.
Sure enough, first thing he does is knock me in the face. It was funny, since I should have expected that from him, and he didn't really hurt me, but yeah.
All the same, I do grappling, not boxing, so yeah, I'm not the best at it. Especially vs someone that outranged me by at least half a foot. But congrats for relinking to something that everyone in CO, myself included, has laughed at on many occasions. I don't know what it has to do with you trying to use sexuality against someone, though. It's like you showed up to a Melee gathering with Brawl.
Last time we had CO vs AZ, Rafa **** on Forward's Fox. Forward had to go Sheik, and Rafa almost beat him with Luigi. If LoVo wasn't cocky, he would have just picked Fox and ***** Forward's Sheik, and that would have been that.
Wanna know something better about that particular tournament?
Forward threw his matches vs Omar (AZ's Sheik) because Omar was very likely to lose vs Ferdi/LoVo in loser's bracket. Omar almost lost to Nite (last match, last stock, high percent) in Sheik vs CF, and Nite hasn't placed top 4 in any CO tournaments with our good players. Not because he's bad, but because we can actually fight Falcon.
LoVo+Ferdi almost beat Forward+Omar in teams, and my team only lost to them because I taunted when I should have edgeguarded.
Let's not forget how easily we've **** on NM and UT in Melee over the course of time. I went Pichu in NM finals. You might still be able to find it on YouTube. Of course, that was because top 3 were

Jeris has the best Luigi in the continental US. Only Luigi that ~might~ be his level is Ka Master. He destroyed ROFL and UltraLuigi, and even got m2k's attention. If he's better than Ka, then he's the best in the world (duh).
I'll say LoVo has the best Link in the nation, possibly the world. I'd put money on it. He beat ChaosTheory (an AZ player) so bad that he claimed to have dislocated his thumb. This was at Summer Struggle, when Colorado REALLY sucked. The only reason he didn't make it out of pools at OC3 was because they disregarded his last match vs Mathos completely. LoVo won, should have advanced, and they put Mathos in the bracket, instead.
Yang has an exceptional Marth, taking the first match of a set from Ken and unsettling him to the point where he was talking to another Cali player about how he was unsure whether he could take OC3, since he just lost to a "random CO marth".
Nite has a really good Falcon. He just needs to learn how to sleep before tournaments. Also, he was beating on Yaz in Brawl with Sheik. From what I understand, he **** all over Taj's m2 the last time they played, and that was when we hadn't played Melee in 3 months.
Ferdi is just ridiculous. He's an amazing player, all-around.
Kenny has an astounding Fox, but the nasty habit of trying to CP instead of sticking with his main in tournament. Even then, he's the reason why CO doesn't really take Wobbles too seriously, though we do love him.
Mikezor is just ******** good for no reason whatsoever. He almost beat Fluxus, going random, and he doesn't even play Brawl. In Melee, him+Ferdi managed to take a match from Darkrain+Wife, and Mikezor was going Mario (correct me if I'm wrong, guize).
Chap is the best teammate you could ask for, and also rocks a pretty solid Mario/Jiggz.
Erg is too technical with Fox, and was toying with Neil the last time NM came to CO. He stopped shining the guy because he felt bad, in his own words. He embarrassed Romeo at OC3.
And I'm our Doc/Peach/Sheik/Pikachu (just recently) player. I've placed top 4 at virtually every Colorado Melee event, but have snagged 2nd/7th on the rare occasion. Yeah, I haven't taken a full set from LoVo (unless you count NM)/Jeris in tournament, but aside from that, I've taken sets from anyone else I've faced in CO, and won every tournament where LoVo, Jeris, and Ferdi aren't present. They're better than me, and I admit it. I'm working on it, but it's not like they don't improve alongside me. I've been recognized by most every OoSer I've played, including the good ones. I made it out of pools at OC3 after Boss lied about our set to the TO, and went on to 2-0 him in tournament before essentially forfeiting to Bone$ (he prolly would have won anyway). I've never not made it out of pools in a smash-related event, and took 5th at Final Round (XII, I think?) in Brawl, going Sonic/Kirby (who I only played as for a week)/Jiggz/Ness.
So yeah, I've done stuff, and CO has talent.
AZ, off the top of my head, haaaas:
Forward - cool guy, gets emo easily, tho. =(
Taj - punched me in the face and eated all our food. Still a cool guy, since he taught us how to make kool-aid properly
SouthPaw - kinda. I love this guy
Light - Haven't played him, doesn't impress me, buuuut he has to be good, right?
That ganon player that I never remember, but is supposed to be great. Chucky, I think?
Wobbles - cool guy, gave me some tips for staying calm in tournament that I still haven't tried using.
Axe - He plays Pika, so I automatically like him. Unfortunately, in Mario country, Pika doesn't fare too well.
GG7 - need to play with this guy, he seems pretty cool
Omar - nice guy, but refuses to play cheap, despite maining Sheik. Kinda bites him in the *** when the other player decides to be gay.
I'd love to see a CO vs AZ rematch, and I'd put money on it, in our favour. I'd put even more money on us vs any other 4 corner state/any state not named CA, FL, and... I can't remember the other state that's good. NY? I dunno, anymore. Kinda stopped caring. CO's Melee scene isn't HUGE (we've got like... 15 consistent players, I guess? So more reliable than our Brawl scene nowadays, at least), but we have more than enough talent. Moreso, the last time we played against AZ, CO was still learning a lot of the things we still take for granted.
Sorry I don't live in a state with mediocre competition to overinflate my ego, guy. Keep winning them Brawl tournaments. Maybe one day, you'll actually be able to call yourself a competitive gamer, instead a guy that plays a game competitively.

I also don't feel like dealing with weak back-up attempts from whoever currently has their mouth wrapped around your johnson. We're just wall-o-texting now and wasting each other's time.

Wow, I love how tony didn't mention me at all. </3 I guess I never existed in Co smash, despite my recent re-interest and improvement in the game. I also think that you are being way to cocky with Co's melee scene. I know I'm not helping the cause against dekar, but despite what you say we still have not had recent activity and tournaments. The tournament that I hosted before I left was the first melee tournament we have had in over a year, and honestly Co's skill is static at best. I do think CO has potential, but it's sort of hard to boast when we haven't been oos in forever.
