Genesis hasn't happened yet.
HOWEVER!
I just wrote up our budget. I'll edit it as necessary.
Distance both ways - 2510 miles
+50 for random side-trips - 2560
Miles per gallon - 15
2560/15 = 170.70
Price of gas (estimated) - $3.5/gallon
3.5*170.7= $597.4
Round up to $600
/8 (people)
=$75 per person for gas
This WILL be required to attend. To avoid conflicts, we will be collecting the money June 7th. This is a full 2 months away, so there really shouldn't be any reason to not be able to supply us with this money.
Just donating twice will net you $80, if it's your first time.
If you don't pay this amount, you will not be going with us, period.
Any excess cash left over from the gas fund after the trip will be distrubed evenly amongst all attendees.
Continuing -
$75 basic gas fee
Full Admittance Package - $80
Brawl only - $50
Melee only - $50
Spectator Fee - $5/day
So, if you want to enter Brawl and Melee, you will need to bring $155, bare minimum. If you want to enter only one game, $125. If you want to come just to meet new people, $80.
I would also recommend bringing at LEAST $40 for food. Last time we went, we ate out with DBR at Denny's, so at least budget for the after-tourney celebration. $60 or more is probably a better idea. Or you could just pack a ****ton of sammiches. :D!
Finally, we need to decide which hotel we want to stay at.
These are what they offer:
The Comfort Suites
A reservation with this hotel will include:
* Free Continental Breakfast
* Free wired and wireless high-speed internet access
* Free business center
* Fitness center
* Outdoor pool and hot tub
* There have been 20 Single/Double Queen-size rooms, as well as 5 very spacious and luxurious suites, set aside for guests of our tournament. These rooms have been blocked off to be within as close proximity as possible, meaning... GENESIS guests staying at the Comfort Suites will have their own floor of this hotel to themselves for 3+ Days =)
The Hampton Inn
A reservation with this hotel will include:
* Free Continental Breakfast (Including Breakfast-on-the-go bags)
* Free Wired and wireless high-speed internet access
* Every room comes equipped with a 42" flat-screen LCD (with full component/composite cable hookups)
* Fitness Center
* Outdoor pool and hot tub
* There have been 20 Single/Double Queen-size rooms, as well as 5 very spacious and luxurious King Studio Suites, set aside for guests of our tournament. These rooms have been blocked off to be within as close proximity as possible, meaning... GENESIS guests staying at the Hampton Inn will have their own floor of this hotel to themselves for 3+ Days =)
* Photo Panorama of the King Studio Suite (More photos of Single/Double Queen rooms will be uploaded this week once available):

Once we figure out which one we want to stay at, I can finish the budget. I would also suggest bringing some money for MMs. $20 is good, if'n you're just looking to get quality matches with pros.
So our current budget is as follows:
Bare minimum (small amount of money for food, gas, and only entering as a spectator) - $150 before hotel expenses
Average amount (recommended amount for food, gas, entering one game, $10 for MMs) - $195 before hotel expenses
Teh BIG SPENDER! ($80 for food, gas, entering both games, $20 for MMs, $20 set aside for however much the V.I.P. room is) - $275 before hotel expenses
------
So yeah, there's the basic budget for Genesis. We need to figure out who is going, what hotel we want to stay at, who can make the reservations (just need a credit card, doesn't have to have money on it unless we all bail outta Genesis), and how many cars we're taking.

Currently Confirmed:

Who else definitely wants to go? I just listed the people I KNOW will come for sure. The hotel fee WILL be added to the required amount for Genesis. We just need to make the reservation. If more than the above group plans on going, I suggest we get at least 2 rooms.
