This isn't a matter of how bad other people are on the internet.

People we know have been directly effected by the fire, so we arn't going to bring it up for there sake. Even if we can.

No offense to you dude, I say some pretty bad stuff that i'm sure others find cringe worthy, but some people arn't cool with jokes about it yet, and i'm gonna respect that.

Bees, if you transferred to CU Boulder you could hang with Fish and DTL and I (until summer since I'm not sure if I'm going OoS for college yet). :3

If it didn't cost 30 bucks in gas and 5 hours of driving to get to the Springs and back I'd totally go and play you more often.

Maybe next year I'll try hosting tourneys twice a month at GameShack so we have solid meetups more often. Having kind of once-per-month tourneys in various places around CO isn't particularly helpful for people who live way out there.

Playstation allstars is actually pretty amazing.
Friend brought it over today and it waaaaay exceeded my expectations. Which were none.

If this thing ever becomes popular, i'm definitely using Parappa~

And I main PaRappa as well haha! Even am ranked in the top 100 online right now going 100% him :D

And to anyone who hasnt played Allstars yet, DO IT, its fantastic. At first it feels weird as it plays almost NOTHING like smash, but once you get used to the feel of the game, how it works, and get some combos down, its pretty much exactly what youd want a Platform Fighter to be like. Plus, the game is insanely balanced as far as I can tell. Pretty sure Ive had my *** handed to me by every character in the game at least once xD

calm down, the game just came out. It'll only get less and less balanced from here.

Except that there will be balancing patches and Super Bot has this built in analytics system that gives them the success percentage of every character, move, match up, etc so they can see exactly what is overpowered/underpowered and balance accordingly, and theyve already said that unless theres a serious problem, they dont plan on nerfs/buffs being any more than meter gain changes and such. So balance seems good for the long run.

Plus, the online is actually good :D

Not disrespecting this game. But for me I never grew up with a playstation. My parents bought a ps1 when it came out but the games it came with(Bubsy 3d and Medievil) caused my parents to return it and purchase a N64 instead. By the time I got a ps2, I was in high school and the only series I followed was DMC and sadly Dante isn't in Allstars. (They decided to put Hayden Christensen in the game instead...not sure why.) But apart from that, I haven't really grown up with the playstation characters to develop that bond that would make me want to play the game like I play smash bros. So I think I will pass on the game. I am sure it is nothing like smash. But it still doesn't interest me because I have no strong ties or attachments to any of the characters at all.


Also I think from now on ROB should be the SSBB version of whack-bot.

Really though, people should give the game try, just look at the reviews from places like IGN and Kotaku, imo those 2 really do explain the game well.

Of course. Fanservice wasn't meant to be a derrogatory term in my last post. It is just that I am a part of the Nintendo fanbase. So smash is a fanservice that interests me. Since I am not a fan of any of the Playstation characters; mainly because I have not played a single Playstation game with a Sony IP,(Except for Devil May Cry but we already established it's absence from the game) the game just doesn't appeal to me since it is a fanservice of something that I am not a fan.

Bees's viewpoint basically describes how I feel about Allstars.

The only games I've played on Sony systems that I really liked were Dissidia/Dissidia Duodecim and Gravity Rush. Not really a huge Sony person and since they didn't end up having Kat there aren't many characters that interest me.

Sly Cooper was pretty fun in the beta, but I still think it's kind of dumb that he can't block and can just turn invisible. Might be useful in FFAs with people who can't pay attention, but I really don't see it being very useful outside of the added effects from attacking out of stealth.

Also:

What dates in December work for people for a smash tourney at GameShack? AFAIK I have off from the 14th of December until the 1st or 2nd of January, so I can host basically whenever in that timeframe.

That's kinda cute Bee's. <3 But no I totally understand. Honestly I only considered this game because PaRappa was one of my favorite games when I was little. Still kinda is~ I'm hoping for a sequel honestly.

Of course the reason I got smash 64 when a kid was that I loved Kirby, Pokemon, Zelda and Mario. I was super stoked for Brawl when I saw the gameplay and the new enhanced graphics as well as the smoother and stylized animation. (Dem greephics) But yeah what really reeled me in were the addition of characters like Sonic and Lucario(and later when I played the game, R.O.B) I still want to play Sonic, as he was my childhood's fondest memory.
