That wouldn't make much sense, considering he only used Marth twice the entire tournament and lost that set. He won one game with Marth, but it didn't change his placing.

AZ was the one who put the Marth icon next to his name. I watched all of Tyrant's high profile matches though, he was straight MK until Ally. Lost with MK on BF, then went Marth on BF and won, Marth on FD and lost, D3 on PS1 and lost (ally got some sweet techs to save him).

Well I questioned it in the thread (I think) or at least ankoku saying I think he only went Marth against Ally and that it shouldnt count towards his points.

ZZgashi, I dont think you realise how much points MLG is going to contribute to this list.
It most definitely, positively, DOES NOT need EXTRA points.

When the amount of points gained for meta knight from this tournament will be something close to FIVE HUNDRED (500), due to the total prize pool being SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7000) split between ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ENTRANTS (180) which means in normal procedural terms an entry fee close to FORTY DOLLARS ($40)

YOU BET there will be high level competition being represented by it, and it will have a ****ton of points because of it.

(a lot of numbers there are rounded, btw)

my only suggestion when there are tournaments as large such as this, that more than just the top 8 get considered for points.

Oh well if its off of the entree fee then thats cool, i didnt know that, sounds good to me

You can just add more base values, like .25 for top 12 @ tournaments >100 and 0.05 for top 16 @ tournaments > 150. It could be something like that since it would make the list more accurate and account for characters that place within a certain percentage.

For example top 8 @ a 64 man tournament is the top 12.5 % of all entrants. If we did this for MLG, the top 12.5% of 183 entrants = top 22.875 placers...

Idk, this seems to make this more of a struggle even though it may be more accurate.
