Why is that surprising? Ness would have been up there a long time ago with the right representation. It's unlikely he'll fall any time soon either.

- Are these results all from the same region?
- Are these results all from the same player(s)?

If the answer to either is 'Yes' then I am inclined to believe that Ness might not be the contributing factor to his ranking, but instead the players and regions the results are hailing from.

Hm, looks like two yeses to me. Reflex and the area he's in.

As for Ness, I know that at least the first question is a 'no'. There was Smash64, and one or two other people who's names escape me. One had three letters, all capitalized. FOW I think.

Hmm, Definatly saw Luigi dropping to D, poor Wolf :p. Wow poor Lucario, and Poor poor Mario. The Mario Bros are gonna drop more though due to no Boss repping them...

These are your most prolific Ness mains, who all have several top 4 finishes under their belts (and a few 1st/2nd's to boot).

So I'd say 'no', and 'no'.

Yes, Mario is indeed a character that needs someone to rep him. He's amazing. >.>
It's hard to believe he's such low tier with such amazing arials and the CAPE.

every game they make Mario slightly weaker, and Luigi slightly stronger, but seriously, what the hell Mario? I was thinking about maining Weegee in Brawl anyway, but that's not right.

Games Mario's better in: Mario Kart Wii? Smash Bros, Smash Bros Melee (Tier list lies!) Other games...

Games Luigi's better in: Super Mario 64 DS by far, SBM2, some other games...

Mario isn't bad at all, he's just not getting much rep at all since everything mario can do some other character can probably do better,well thats just my opinion. There are like 5 active mario mains going to tourneys and not all of them will place top 8 all the time. =/
