CEO2011 - Presented by Alex Jebailey and Hungrybox - Coming this June - Orlando, FL

The tentative date is the weekend of June 11th.

The location will be the very Ballroom that AFO and Megacon were held in.

Smash will have it's own, private ballroom.

EVO might be involved, since this would be an international merger event with SRK.

Expect greatness.

Hello Guys, This is Jebailey here.

I've secured the Grand Ballroom at the Wyndham on international Drive and am planning a really Big Fighting Game Championships next summer.

I would be dedicating your own portion of the BallRoom(At least 6000 sq ft just for you guys) As I'm running all the Street Fighter Tournaments.

I asked Hungry to Gauge Interest in it because I'm taking a super huge risk on this event due to the fact that since I'm getting it for 3 full days I'd have to fill up the hotel with 300 room nights meaning For Friday and Saturday Night I need to have 150 rooms filled up(All Across the board). The Hotel will only be 79 bucks a night, now I honestly know Smashers AND Street Fighter people stockpile 10 dudes in a room, do you guys think that'll be the case next year or with would out of staters be willing to travel to Orlando for a Major Weekend.

PS JWT, just saw your post, Yes lol I highly suggest staying away from the June 10-12th(That date is FINAL!) date in the SouthEast. I'm hoping for a 1000 person turnout, entrants and spectators across the board so I need Smashers to help me make this a success.

Soooooo this should definitely get a lot more attention! Fl needs to have a nice big national tournament. I think that If you want to gauge the total attention you might want to make a thread in the actual tournament listings board so that more people can see it; I'd try and push for a sticky as well!

I'm waiting til the first or 2nd week of January to get the ball rolling on details and everything. Once I do that I'll have hungry or plank start the official tourney thread for you guys.

Still waiting to talk with Plank or Hungrybox about the Smash side.

What I'm thinking of doing since my hands are completely full with the 8 other games being run at CEO 2011 is having Smashers, Simply Pre order their Weekend Badges, then pay Tourney Entrees at the event itself on Friday and I'll set up a Nice Pre Reg Page like I've done before ( www.tiny.cc/ceosignups) For all the Smasher's to See and Use since Every Tourney Entry their are fees I have to pay with online registration so I'd want to limit those.


Would the Smashers be cool with that, Simply buy their badge, Pre Register their name and info, and pay the actual tourney fees for Singles/Doubles, Whatevs at the Event.

Remember for this event to succeed to become bigger and better, it's all about filling up the hotel rooms at the Venue, and this Venue will blow everyone away.
I'll be finalized the Registration page within a couple weeks.

i think im def gonna be helping with this. i had a good time last year and it was an AMAZING tourney/vacation and hopefully i can do it again and we can all have a good time. after pound ill try to hype it way more :)

Nobody runs Smash like you and Juan, would be awesome if you can Help Hungrybox Again.

So Plank is gonna be swamped with Pound so Be sure to check that out if you haven't already.

In Conclusion Smashers you guys better start planning for CEO 2011. Cause I want you all there, I'll get the registration info up by next week. Smashers will HAVE to buy the online badges through the main site(They are gonna be 30 dollars for the entire weekend, And you can get your weekend badge free by booking at least 2 nights at the hotel for 79 a night). Once you've done that you can PRE register your name for organization purposes on the master Pre Reg page then on Friday you can all pay for the tournament entry fees there through Plank if he helps, or Juan and other Smash TO's that are helping me.

i'm also super happy that the CEO tourney is part of the SRK's seeding event for EVO ... really hyped ... looks like u might see myself and other tristate at this event! ^_^

the location for this tourney is amazing, the hotel is right off of intl drive aka the main tourist strip in orlando with universal studios/all that ****. best vacation week ever

Read your blog Post and just wanted to help you paint a clearer picture so nobody gets confused.

Official Name is CEO 2011 Fighting Game Championships.

The main Focus is Street Fighter 4, Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and other Non Smash Games BUT I loved working with Plank and Hungrybox last year that I want to do it again.

My Event is an official EVO Ranking tournament just for SSF4 and Marvel Vs Capcom 3. EVO and It's just me saying this will probably not be having smash again since the success of SSF4 and soon to be Marvel vs Capcom 3 is too much already for them to handle, they're expecting 5,000 entrants this year for those 2 games, that's insane.

Smash will be a part of my event but you guys will get your own entire Huge Space and be run by Plank if he can, Hungry and other helpers.

So just wanted that info to be out there about what EVO has to do with things, either way the venue I have secured will literally blow away any other venue for ANY game tournament in terms of location and accessibility. All that info will be up soon on www.ceogaming.org and I should the Registration Payment setup by next week so the real ball can start rolling. Just hype this up and I just ask for future success to try not to stockpile 20 people to a room, I need to fill up this hotel cause if we do, I'm happy, I don't lose my life savings and I can only take us even farther together.

I used to love and play smash which most of my fellow SFers will always scoff at but I admire the level of competition that goes on so you guys will always be recognized by me. So I am asking for Smashers help to make this a success so I hope the whole country knows that this event will be one for the ages.
