Although my views have changed since then. I've been thinking about this over the past weekend, and I've realized Swiss asking for post color is incredibly scummy. Remember both what I said about not wanting to hammer, and what happened when DH asked to shorten the day deadline (#138)? Shorter days are good for scum as town has less opportunity to discuss and select a good lynch. What has Swiss done? Not once, but twice (DH's edit early on + the post-color thing) he tried to get DH modkilled--rushing through the day, whereas if he honestly thought DH was scum he'd have waited to see if a better lynch candidate comes up.

Short days = good for scum.
Baiting modkill on townie = day cut short.

Hmm the fact that you vote and don't like Swiss makes me feel better about you, unless its a bus attempt here seeing as how Swiss is taking a lot of heat right now. I think if Swiss ends up being the play and flips scum this is a serious bus attempt, but if Swiss flips town I'd feel like you were town going after scummy play. So I'll keep an eye on this. This is the thing I was hinting at before, as I saw Swiss try to take advantage of DH's noobness but not yours, so I feel like you two may have a connection there.

I know you didn't vote him but you clearly made it out that you were ok and ready to lynch.

And I didn't say he should be pardoned. I said he should be looked at from a noob perspective rather than the way he was being looked at. Noob tells are different than exprienced tells and I figured you should know because of all the times we've been in similar situations but I guess you and I just see things differently. What was it that you found scummy about DH? The only thing scummy about him was the QT and as I said we were just in 3 games in which QT were used by town so it's not that uncommon. If that's the only thing you found him scummy for, that's what I mainly find suspicious.

If you felt this way about Dh , whats ur take on Incom? Should be be looked at for noobtells rather than scumtells in a similar light?

@EP: It's not that we shouldn't look for scumtells, it's just that we should look at for scumtells from a noob perspective. But even though DH and Incom are both first timers, incom appears to be way ahead in how to play the game so now it would just be wifomy. It really depends on each case and people just have to not be lazy and look at things from more than one perspective rather than just assuming the only reason someone could do something is because they are scum. incom is leaning a bit town for me atm any how.

It's not that you were gone for 26 hours (that's the number) it's the fact that d1 you were really, really aggressive and trying to take control. You asked me who the play for the day was just a few hours into the game. Then when things don't go your way and you got someone modkilled, instead of putting up a decent defense you started to drift away and become less active. How could I know that you got a throat infection? You didn't really give this kind of leeweight to people yesterDay and now you are asking for it yourself.

It's not the fact that you were gone one full day alone, it's that coupled with your aggressiveness, and the timing of your absence, that doesn't sit well with me.

How did I say he was town either way? If he keeps your vote on you and you get lynched, and flip scum, I think he's scum. If you flip town I think he's town. Of course you'll respond that this means that he is town either way., either you know you are town or you are scum and are going to claim you are town. I'm attempting to draw connections here and I see something between you and Incom.

Even if Swiss is active again, it doesn't change the fact that I feel he tried to drift away when things started to go sour for him. The vote is there because of the timing of his abscence more so than the absence itself. There's a world of difference between a player being inactive due to IRL issues, and a player being mondo aggressive , then comparitively being distant/absent the next Day when he's taking heat. It's just pattern that doesn't sit well with me, and the vote stays unless I see something convincining from Swiss or someone who is more likely to be scum.

I'm going to re read a few players, including Airgem, Xastrn and some others, and see what I can find.

@ Zen - I didn't answer what my role colour was as I wanted Zen to take a stance on what DH said. It was my line of questioning and I felt that Zen was being very careful to not give any indications of whether or not he felt this was a townie or scum answer. Considering it was probably clear to Zen I was going to ask him the fact that 'he asked me first' is to me, irrelevant.

@ EP - Didn't say you were being a douche for not knowing I had a throat infection. Jus' said that's why I was less active. I'm sure I was online for a while 'n did refresh pages - didn't feel like pressure to me.
