Do you actually? I was under the impression that the lag was so great that you couldn't really apply anything you learned. But I haven't played wifi since brawl came out (IN SUPER DUPER TIMED ITEM FREE FOR ALLS, YEAH!) so what do I know?

It's true, It makes me see how good Ike is on wifi and that I mis-space a lot x.x
It does make me think a bit more, which improves my offline game a bit?

well I hope to be able to make a post without someone biting my head off (it's really starting to **** me off).

So, I am looking around at buying a new television. I realize that my LCD is probably messing me up when I go to tournaments because of the lag. So I want to buy an LED or a Plasma. I like both technologies. It seems that Plasma takes the cake with a less than 1 ms response time. But I have found LEDs with 2 ms response times. And I prefer some of the features found in these. And considering my room stays lit, I don't know if a plasma is right for it.

So does anyone have any suggestions. I am open to buying either television but I would like to know which would be best for getting timing down (balanced with regular viewing of movies and shows) so that I don't have to adjust at tournament. And if anyone can give me some clarification to this 'game mode' that many televisons have, I would greatly appreciate it. I have only gotten muddled reviews about it. I would be really grateful to the smash community if they could help me with this.

Oh, and nearly every review online says 'personal preference.' So........please don't say that. It basically leaves me saying, 'so that was a whole lot of help.......not.'

Dont by a led or a plasma. Eff both those.

Get a CRT. its the only thing guaranteed to not give you any lag and they are cheap as ****.

Dude i am moving to charlotte in a month. NC is a great state. You get mor for your money than i have ever seen. It is building up in charlotte and it has summer/spring weather like all year long and maybe like 1 small month of cold.... Don't listen to stingers we are def better in smash than most states.... just we arnt socal or NY/NJ...
