How long can Samus hang from her grapple? When I'm spamming stomps I usually try to time it for when I think they're coming up, but obviously I'd rather edgehog

I'm just scared that she can pull herself up between my ledgehops or something <_<

Once she's grappled, you don't have to ledgehop at all. Just wait until she pulls herself up and then knee dat ***

I dunno the frames, but she can hang for a long time. Once she has grappled though, you don't need to refresh invincibility. She'll drop off the grapple before you can fall off the ledge, so she is forced to pull herself up eventually. Then you just have to react to when she pulls up and goes past you. She has a lot of lag after pulling up and can't attack you, so there is nothing to be afraid of.

If I had a recording setup I could show you, but I sold my dazzle a while ago

Edit: oh I didn't see joot type that. My bad

s2j's douchebag tip against samus:

if they are recovering pretty low go jump the **** off stage and eat all the bombs so they drop way too low to go back

let's talk about japanese falcons
as in machdash and some dude named gucci
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_lcVrz3mI4&feature=channel&list=UL
... Why do I see myself when I watch gucci play? He ****ing, like, edgeguards like me, tech-chases like me (although he's bad at wavedashing and misses some easy wavedash -> jab resets). He spaces and avoids getting shield-pressured better than me, though.

Better question: Why do I hear my grandmother when someone takes a stock? "Ooooohhhh!"

Johnny, I know what you can do for Big House. We need a stream chat moderator, especially for Day 2. IIRC you are pretty good at banning/giving timeouts to stupid stream monsters, so consider the job yours if you want it lol.

...No <_____< hahaha
Tipman spiking is the Ganon semispike with the tip of the Uair
Rubyiris is talking about doing that with Falcon

Named after this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDs-lPmIUec
I was being facetious (suggesting that I can nipple spike on command). My brother is pretty much the best Ganon I've ever played, and we play Ganon dittos all the time where we Tipman spike each other and such. I only WISH Falcon had a Tipman spike, Tipman = (Fox Shine)/2 pretty much, especially offstage.

...That was a very strange joke

You can still use the back of Uair to edgeguard, it's just not as free as Ganon's massive backwards hitbox

I'm still really really bad at doing a last-second uair through platforms. So hovering above a platform, then fast falling straight through it, then doing uair to clip the opponent right before you land. I can do it on DL and BF consistently, but can't do it for **** on YS and PS.

It's not that hard from a short hop IMO ... you're only falling for a short period of time before you're actually through the platform

It's way harder going from full hop / double jump / waveland, which are more useful (I think) but much harder

Short hopping through the platform is basically the same as just dropping through it but going from a full hop / double jump / waveland makes people think twice before trying to camp under platforms .... they have to worry about you landing or falling through with Uair from a distance then

Uhh, you don't
Gentleman is shield grabbable
Most people are bad and try to grab at times that aren't after the gentleman knee though

They can grab you inbetween 2nd jab and knee if they are quick enough. If the jabs just knick their shield you can DD and **** them.

Best mix up is just to switch from jabs, no jabs, 2 jabs > SH knee. IMO

I've given up on trying to aerial -> gentleman any Sheiks... they can just crouch cancel and mash shield -> A and pretty much get a free grab after any of the jabs.

I've been getting ****ed up recently trying to dropzone Falco. It's because against Fox/Falcon I can immediately see if it's gonna work, but against Falco, something about his weight makes me miss a lot. I've been having more success with stomp though, because that seems to hit where my knees are missing. Anyone have a comment on this that might help me? Maybe some specifics about %s and DI?

if it is hitting late it might just be you're too far into the stage before you run off. If you're not right at the ledge it has a higher chance of missing.

if they DI in you can bair, if they DI away you can uair, but i don't advise dair because they have both their jump and up-p for meteor. But then again i play against people that are really good at meteoring so i guess you just ahve to judge.

I didn't even realize there was a difference dropzoning CF/fox/falco. I just like, dropzone them.

^this is the feeling that I had, but since I played more against Falco, it's not working out. It might just be bad luck. I almost never get the strong knee, but I often go out knowing I will get the weak knee, which kills him anyway, so that's pretty nice.

But really, dair often works once because people don't expect it, but considering Falco's double jump height, I really would like to figure out why my knees aren't connecting -.-

you can pretty much react to see if drop zone will work

or even pre empt run off and double jump back on if you wont connect

something weird about falco though but i usually b-air and that works better

Dropzone stomp -> Falcon Kick, Andross style. Works every time (against Falco, at least). Catch him with the startup and the knockback will be behind you, i.e. into/under the stage, depending.
