Introducing the Brawl+ Updatifier by me, giantpune. This is a dol/elf that can be run from any wii that is able to run homebrew. What it does is connect to the internet (if you have WiFi) and update your Brawl+ files to match the latest official versions. This means that if your Wii is homebrew capable and has WiFi, then you don't need a PC at all to play the game. You are given the opportunity to rename existing files. It also has gecko OS build into it so you can launch that and start Brawl+ easily. It supports wiimote, GC, and classic control input as well.
If IOS222v4 is installed on the wii, it will allow booting from a DVD-r or WBFS formatted USB HDD. There still may be bugs in the booting methods, but the updating looks like it works perfectly. Booting also works perfectly on my Wii. But I only have 1 Wii to use for testing, so any input I can get about booting errors will help me track down bugs.
There seems to be a bug with IOS222 that causes it to blackscreen if you play a game and exit and try to start another one. Shutting down the Wii fixes this, and there is not much I can do about it. Also, once you click the button to play, gecko is set to autoboot, so it will read any settings you already have on the SD card and there should be the game in the drive before clicking the button.
here is a link to a precompiled dol (http://code.google.com/p/brawlplusupdatifier/ ) but it probably wont be the most up to date. The source code is there so you can check out the code and compile the latest and greatest version.
