CK's Ness and my Peach are evenly matched. At Hackfest I won with like 130%+ last stock as Peach against his Ness. Next Hackfest we are getting some recordings of our friendlies, and possibly even MM's.
You hear that CK? I want to fight your Ness again. :)

That's good to here that Ness can face of against anyone now. We are DEFINITELY challenging the Marth mains.

Shanus I distinctly recall fighting Ness buffs 3-4 months ago and you posted and said "no, Delorted's right, and frankly I (and the WBR) think Ness is totally fine - we agree with him 100%"

Things have changed, sure, but I'm just wondering where that went.
He got tradeoffs to deepen his game. Like Fox. Ness was nerfed in this set too, dude.

Can we have a setting where we choose if we want DJC on or not? I can't stand it, all the normal things I do are awkward to perform because using the c-stick triggers the DJC.

the c stick has NOTHING to do with DJC. It all depends on the jump button.

Holding = no DJC

tapping = DJC

Would people please read the codeset?

lol gamecube controller.

If you hold the jump button, you won't trigger DJC. To be honest, I wish it was the other way around but meh. Adjust and adapt because real men do this and Ness' game is done changing.

I actually have gotten used to the classic controller for every character except peach (low floating and attacking does not work well with the CC due to the awkward jump button position.)

and yeah, just adapt. They're not going to remove DJC just because a few people can't get used to it. Not to be mean.

No, if you hold down the jump button while using the C-stick Ness will not DJC. The C-stick really has nothing to do with DJCing.

How am I supposed to do a rising down-air with the C-stick? That's so awkward. I'd have to use my control-stick hand and hit it. (my left hand)

Change L to jump and only use it when you need to DACUS/Zap Jump (Lucas)/Do rising aerials with DJC.

I have X and L set to jump, although nowadays I only use X to DJC since its harder to hit L twice fast.

I agree with Delorted though, DJCing is a little awkward right now. As for the rising dair, I'm just doing down-a while holding the jump button. The only real problem I have is doing uairs... sometimes I get what I want, other times I end up failing a combo because I accidently DJC'd. I think we just need to get used to it, although I would love if the method of DJCing was improved a bit. How bout if we do it like Peach's float, where if you press down in the middle of your double jump, you'll enter into a float (or in this case hold down + an attack for a DJC). But then this wouldn't work if people use B-stick, so I don't think that would work very well.

Well, what's a better way of making DJC? I'm the one who designed the current method (concept was simple enough, and was easy to code in PSA).

i assume for ledgehopped downairs right? That habit was the hardest to break for me. For that one, i claw the controller a little

Oh, btw guys, the PK Flash speedups aren't in the newest set, lol.

Though at this point and time, I'm not sure if they are needed. >.>

technically, it should be in the pac file under 112 and (i believe 117).

if its not working, it might be due to subactoins, but I thought it was working.

Well I do downair as a k-o move. I use it a little like you would in melee with young link's d-air when you attempt a firespike.

Ness's head when you use d-air sends them horizontally at such a weird speed and angle. It's a great early ko move. I usually go f-air to d-air, and it kills them sideways or ..spikeways.

Clawing may be the answer but can we just make it a buffer code? Above 100% is for DJC?

I can't see why you would ever impede yourself with that. DJC fair to utilt, DJC uair combos, etc; so much bread & butter stuff that would be hard to live without.

I don't think I'd ever use those anyway, but if we have the option, I could learn how and switch back and forth. I just hate suiciding trying to do what I'm used to :(

Oh man, how could you not use them. For downthrow if they DI down+away, at low percent a SH fair won't connect, but a DJC fair utilt can nail them (on some chars), which can go into DJC uair combos too.

Maybe, but if it disrupts my ability to do my normal delorted combos then i'd prefer the option, no?

Simna is correct.

The sideways hit is the sourspot of the dair.

And Shanus mentioning djc fair -> utilt makes me want to talk about djc combos. List them here.

Well anyway, I do rising dairs and it's usually the head that hits them, so thank you for correcting me.
