Oh, and Umbreon would be interesting. I don't really care about him, but every character in Brawl is capable of standing on its hind legs. It'd be weird to see and use a character who can't.
Ivy can't. :3 Speaking of, I'm probably going to change Ivy into a Leafeon. :3
Somebody knows how to use/convert the CHR0 animation files to work in 3DS Max?
I'm pretty sure that CHR0 animation files aren't real animation files, so they won't work in anything but the game. A converter's needed.

Of course Viewtiful Joe would be great.

Anyway Mewtwo is very different from Lucario in playstyle. And Mewtwo from the anime was awesome. Come on, he's a psychopathic Pokemon who has actually MURDERED people - murder... in Pokemon. And he made Ash cry, didn't he? I say he's the best Pokemon just for that.

Vaporeon FTW!

I still remember my Vaporeon from Yellow. I think it was around 68 or so, probably the highest level I trained at the time. :laugh:

I still say Waddle Dee is a must. It's like the most iconic Kirby enemy. Just give it a parasol or spear and we are good to go. :)

Is that possible? I tried to make Zelda transform into Captain Falcon but I couldnt figure it out.

If you pulled it off; and made 8 psa movesets, one for each that would be amazing.

So he hides a random version number in each individual version he hands out, and if it gets leaked, looks up the number and figures out who did so.

That's the most protection you could get.

Well, that, or having it delete itself after a certain time period, or something.
setting up a server login would be smarter. then you would need to connect to the server, only that person would know their login. and if that known login is known for a leak, you block it or delete the login from the server.

a version number can be easily changed in a hex editor or resource unpacker. not to mention if it gets leaked.. theres no stopping the spread.

with server login, you can control your users. though someone can still disassemble your program to bypass server verification... either way its the most secure program licensing technique.

Eevee with evolutions would be tough, since pokemon pacs don't work atm and each character has a max size pac file.

Ugh, are you serious? Why would anyone PM you? Im assuming you will try to get the beta off people some how, otherwise you wouldnt care (because it will probably be announced that its in beta testing anyway).

I'm serious as a ****in' heart attack. And no, I don't want a leak.

If you must know, I'd want what I've sought all along: FitZakoBoy00.dae, FitZakoGirl00.dae and FitZakoChild.dae. Or, in short, a quick conversion job.

beta probably wont run for long, its just a trial to workout bugs, and for modders to recommend improvements.

otherwise the app would have hit and everyone would have ran around stupid asking questions. the beta also allows modders to comeup with tutorial guides prior to release to increase the user friendlyness of the software, or act as general support.

least that's my take on the purpose of beta. if you know nothing about 3d software, then getting your mits on beta is pretty useless..

Try this, then: Run FitZakoBoy00.pac through AiS 0.1.3; see what happens.

Probably drops a file called log.txt in the folder that ends with "ERROR: Unknown next type in polygon block ( b0 @ c761 )".

Put bluntly, the most recent public version of the converter crashes on those three.

I may not have had an account on these boards for long, but I have been following this thread for quite awhile, and am certainly no 'n00b'.

You do realise, that is the extractor that will be used for the beta, it extracts all the playable characters correctly (with the excuse of the emerald models). You dont seem like you have been following this thread for very long, btw i have been following it since the first page.

Uhh I haven't been following it for that long, but I've been stopping by to see the progress every now and then. Last time I checked brawl froze when a new model was imported. I'm guessing we've gotten past that minor setback? Sorry if I sound dumb but please don't tell me omg go look through the thread. I don't feel like going through 20 some odd pages to find out one thing.

I really hope we can stop arguing about Melee Characters, asking for the Beta, and saying "omg [x character] would be so cool!" >_> When I check the thread and find 2~3 new pages added, I'm usually hoping that it's because significant progress has been made and not just 3 pages of bickering.

But whatever. Don't mind me.

On topic: There was an AiS 0.1.3? I read through the whole thread and don't remember it being posted. Could someone link it? Or better it, Pharrox should update the first post with it and the current state of the project.

Edit: Never mind. I had it all along.

Ok I'll post these pics again.



The polygons of the eyes area (and behind Lucas' neck) look flat and out of context, and it's a bad idea to wield their vertexes with the rest of the face's (I think you know why).

I thought it was due to converting the model into a editable poly, but in maya I have the same problem.



I tried exporting it to various formats, but nothing.

The curious thing is, when I import the model into 3ds Max, and enable the force 2-sided option before rendering, I see no problem (but of course the model is flipped).

I have not seen that somebody else has the same problem.

And this happens with other characters like Pokemon Trainer, Kirby, Ness and Toon Link. :urg:

Oh umm... Maybe I didn't explained well. Yes, there are different fitcharacter_eye.xx textures, that switches to give a movement effect, and there are four eye polygons, two for the normal eyes and two for the yellow eyes.

But the problem is not the textures, it's how the polygons doesn't look like merging well with the rest of the head, you can see clearly where they start even without the textures (as if Lucas was wearing glasses), giving the head an unaesthetic look. But in the game you can't notice that, all the face looks smooth.

Maybe I'm missing something, or I'm hallucinating. :ohwell:

Personally, I'd go for K. Rool but others would rather see Roy or an unpopular pokemon. Mr. Game and Watch is an awesome playable character. Even ROB. So where do we logically draw the line at "stupid" characters?

The extractor in the OP doesn't work for me. I dragged the .pac onto the extractor, but nothing happened. I checked almost everywhere for an extracted file, but no luck. What did I do wrong?

Well, in Windows XP, I found it the extracted files at:

"C:\Documents and Settings\(profile name)"
