You need to use a .gct file. If you don't know how to make one, there should be a file in the OP of the Plussery thread to download. If the sites down, I can give you a link to a download source.

Yeah, I downloaded it and put it in the "code" folder. Now I have Geko OS up and whatnot and I don't understand the "Config Options" and "Rebooter Options" menus.

Config options allows you to turn off the codes so it doesn't apply them when you launch the game from Gecko (say if you want to play a game but, avoid a disc update and you have the codes for that game in the SD, that's what that option is for). It also allows you to toggle game settings like PAL 60 or NTSC 60 for example (color I think). And Rebooter has no use for users with firmware above 3.3, it allows you to use certain codes for Brawl that you can't normally as well as copy files that normally cannot be copied to the SD Card (like Brawl for example). This feature is IMPORTANT if you plan to use other codes and don't want to run the risk of having to erase your save file without a backup of it.

I'm assuming that all you have to do is put the main code file in the root of your SD drive, load up Gecko, and simply load game while Brawl is in? Or is there more?

EDIT: Nevermind, that didn't work. I'm gonna try again with a folder in the root called "Code" and just "Code" and if that doesn't work......well at least the wii discs make good frisbees.

in root, put a folder called codes with Plussery Set GCT file in there.

Um, k.
You can always use MAD if you really want, just know that almost the entire community won't be.
But the beauty of Brawl+ is you can play the game however you want.

Not to be rude but you should probably check the brawl plussery thread the entire 3.3 set has been ported to PAL. Pokemon, no stale moves, hitstun, shieldstun, jump/grav values, no tripping, dash cancel, everything you could want really.

So um..all the links that tell one how to hack the wii are broken.

Could someone direct me to where I can find out how to do it? I have the files on my SD card but they don't show up when I look for them on the wii.

Homebrew is a .tar file but in the README directions with the twilight hack file it says to change the name of the file to boot.dol......?

What is "root of the SD card" ? Is it the first window that comes up when you open it?

My wii is version 3.3U
I Downloaded the 3.3 and earlier version of the twilight hack
I also downloaded the .dol version of the Homebrew channel (which is actually a .tar file )

.tar files are like .rar files

You'll need winrar to open them and get the files inside.

is there any code I could use to settle "crouch or down" in the "L" button? I Want to make easier the crouch canceling because at some moments (for example if you want to run away -> crouch cancel-> use tilt in the opposite direction) is not that easy... If there IS a code ... could you give it to me?? xD

When I first heard of Brawl + I think I was one of those people described in question 3 in to OP. However after reading up a bit and looking at some videos I was quite impressed with how it played. The matches were a LOT more fast paced and intense. I have joined the ranks of those who approve of this project.

You don't need to own twilight princess, though. You only need it once when you're installing the hombrew channel and that's it. So just rent it from somewhere for $5, install the homebrew channel with it, and return it.

You can install the homebrew channel without using Twilight Princess (for example, I believe there is a CD that installs it directly), but it's generally the most accessible way.
