you'd be better pressed going to the Regional Zones subforum here, in Atlantic North + Beast Coast Tea Room and getting yourself familiarized with smashers more around your area

philadelphia is actually a pretty good area for smash, if you live anywhere near there, and i'm pretty sure there's a fairly active scene around there

LOL i guess so, i just don't like new people getting picked on so much, maybe because i still feel kinda new for whatever reason. there're so few new people around in md/va and i think they get actively discouraged out of coming to stuff for one reason or another, and it's not just by the top placers, so maybe i get a little overdefensive about it. yeah what he did was dumb and it's funny but there's no reason to go all that far
