Remember when a video game also wasn't an excuse to be an ******* and treat someone like that. Your comments were meant for one reason only, to try and personally hurt Manuel. I don't mean to drag up old drama, but I just read this, and couldn't help but noticing the only person not apologizing or taking any responsibility for his actions, is Roby.

Adam is right, this community needs to focus on coming together. Not using the boards as some pseudo-anonymous way to hide behind a different personality. It always seems everyone is polite at events and then a tough guy ******* on the internet. You're dealing with real people, and your real friends.

When did this community stop being about fun? When did this game stop being fun. Who cares who beats who, treat others with respect. Be friends and ****ing have fun. That's the whole point.

Remember when you used to play at Ottos and Shanes? and they dissed you saying all you do is u-throw u-air cause you probably get 4 stocked if you tried anything remotely skilled Then you cried and quit smash forever lol. Staying at home playing gaytar hero all day long, getting good at a game that nobody cares about. And yeah nobody likes you that's why you cling to manuel

Roby, Nathan went to school and has a respectable job, you really shouldn't try and insult him like that. I agree he shouldn't be insulting you like that but why don't you be the bigger person and look past it. He also doesn't buy everyone lunch, it's usually just me because right now I have like zero money and trying to save for manifest and he's a good enough friend to buy my lunch or dinner so I can do that.


Also, Manuel, I realize we shouldn't let mindless hate continue to happen without consequence but there are better ways to go about it; Despite what you may think, I feel you really didn't help the issue when you poked at Roby's grammatical error and I consider that a personal attack, I know you're better than that.

This was before the flaming, Yakal. But you're right, there's no need for flaming. But Roby doesn't seem to want to stop. First, he unleashes his resentment to me, then barks at Robbie for calling him out, and ends with an unjustified ad hominem at good old Nathan.

Who, therefore, needs to be kept in check? I'm not taking any of this too seriously.

this aint funny. truth is, u secretly practice with adam, eric and manli, weekly at davids house. u got a good amount of training and warmup before that tourny u beat roby in. dont bull ****, i aint having none of it

Oh my lanta, I didn't realize in order to try and win an argument we could just make blatant lies to try and slander someone. That is legit yo.

First of all Roby. YOU ARE BETTER THEN I AM AT SUPER SMASH BROTHERS MELEE FOR THE NINTENDO GAMECUBE. I've said it to you before, in fact it was the first thing I said to you after I won our set, I said you've gotten so much better and I could tell you played bad. In fact if you as Adam, Eric, Manuel, David, pretty much anyone I talked to about our set. They will tell you I said I got lucky to beat you.

I don't hide behind an ego, I don't care about winning, it's nice but it's nice to see players like you, who have come so far as well. I play this game for fun. When I want to take things seriously, I go to my full time job. Sometimes in smash you just lose sets you shouldn't. Luck is a factor. I got lucky in beating Mike the last tournament. Just ask him. It happens. Grow up.

Otto and Shane were two of my best friends in Washington, I stayed and smashed at their houses all the time and I still talk to both of them to this day.

The last major tournament I went to before I quit was The Dan 2. It was an international, and I took 7th. Losing only to Hitsugaya and Ka-Master.

I'll give you a money match. This is the money match. It's for $20. Here's how it works. If you have the stones to end this flame war on the boards, and next smashfest come say any of this to my face. Come talk to me face to face. I will GIVE you $20. Straight up. It's a simple as that. For some reason, I'm sure coming out from hiding behind your tough internet persona is going to be harder then a money match against Armada.

P.S. Mike, as soon as I found out I was teaming with Manuel for manifest I started practicing smash again, and a lot. I want him to do well and not hold him back. Before the smash tournament in December where I beat Roby, I had not played smash more then three times.

Mike, I don't recall addressing you in any of this. If you want to play the role of intermediary, then at least do it properly.

I called Roby "stoic" and "impervious to feeling" ironically. It was a reference to what I perceive as his macho-man mentality online. He will not waste an opportunity to come in and remind us how "serious" we all are and how foolish anyone is that attempts to discuss things of meaning and feeling. It is this steely (and often derisive) tone that leads to the disharmony that Yakal and Adam speak against. In any case, I said it playfully. The word "stoic" is not an insulting one. If Roby had expressed hurt, I would have clarified or recanted.

You are very selectively referencing the dispute. You have omitted the part where he insulted my personality, personal belief, intelligence,life experience, and (somewhat hilariously) my smash skills. Though I initially defended myself, I was prepared to let it all go. Instead, you promulgated the issue by quoting me and playing the poor counsellor.

Not that I feel the need to prove myself to any of you. Most people in this community who know me quite well can speak for my congeniality and, at the very least, my intellectual ability. It is incredibly ironic that someone who has not finished high school is calling "ignorant" someone who is about graduate from the best university in the province at the top of his honours class, admitted (with scholarships) into the best universities in the country. Who, by contrast, is ignorant?

I don't demand respect, I just don't think that disrespect is doing much for the community. I don't take an antagonistic stance towards people out of the blue. I can't imagine why someone else should.
