I appreciate that Joey. Remind me to buy you a drink next Smash Lab. Admittedly I wasn't at my best at BAM.Izzago – I'm sorry about how things went down at the event. I value your efforts and if you want to help out (more) with MM then I'm all for it.
I have to admit, I was hoping I had taken a lot more than the 57 photos I put up. Oh well! At least they are there for anyone to have a look. Selfie sticks are the best. ^_^Shout outs
Dread – I don't care about some award – I'm just content knowing that somehow we consistently plan and manage these events to be bigger and better than the one before (except SS6 lol). Unprecedented numbers after unprecedented numbers – it's amazing how fair we've come. Working with you has been painless, your energy makes me want to try harder and your honesty is always on point. It's been a pleasure.
Red – A year ago at SSV, I put my hand up to “help out” TO'ing. I'm grateful that you've not only taught me along the way, but trusted me with the scene you've nurtured. You also took what work I did for BAM and made it much better. For that and more, I thank you.
Max – New goal - 100K views.
Dekar – I'm not sure if you're aware but I've learnt the bulk of the TO'ing from you in the few monthlies before you left for the US. And while the lessons in pot splitting and seeding were invaluable – learning that TO'ing is more about making people feel welcome and valued was my biggest take away. You've never told me this explicitly but I see in the reactions from new people all the time. Thank you.
Attila – Your dedication to the game is great but more so, your intuition when it comes to the crazy world of competitive fighting game organisation politics is spot on. Should your time with us come to a close, we will miss you I'm sure.
Dom Hynes – Guys, Dom also deserves a lot of credit for all his work; running the stream, stream overlays, working with CW and NG+ make their trailers not suck (the last one we weren't involved in – surprise surprise), working with CW in general, uploading vods, making compilations, tweeting, redditting. And probably more. True work horse but with actual skills. Look out for this one.
Not so serious
Jimbo – We gotta man up and money match...maybe later.
Party – Yo my TwinBro. You're actually super cool, so you must be adopted. It only makes sense.
RJ – It was great seeing you run around with your selfie stick all weekend!
Noied – I constantly forget you are WA. This is a compliment trust me.
Chappos – As much **** as I give you, the fact you're always cool and see the humour/truth in it, makes me think you're an amazing person.
Sundowns – Another super nice WA guy, who would've thought.
Karu – And again. Why, you guys aren't so bad after all.
Bryte – We didn't talk much but it was great seeing you.
Splice – I'm really looking forward to what you can produce for the stream – hopefully this can propel you into an international spotlight you deserve. Or maybe win next Major. Either way.
Skeletom – My boy, straight up. There for me the whole event. Even besides commentary, your dumb curly hair always makes me happy. Can't say enough good things so I'll leave it here.
Smopup – You're a champ. Shame we didn't get to hang but you're amazing. I wish you didn't turn out so good, now our “sponsorship” seems too serious.
Haikal – You made me feel bad all Saturday with the shirt. But you are amazing.
Atticus – Best friend
Jbirds – Thanks for being there when things got a little dark. Thanks for backing me up with the portable bar as well. You are also tall.
G$ - Thanks for being when things got super dark. I don't know why I chose that moment in time to crumble but thanks for being there. Life.
Woodley – Lol this guy. I just want to go to QLD and drink with you.
Russell – You and your dumb smile. I'm glad you've picked up the twitter, you'll get the captioning down eventually.
Uber and Kami – Super nice guys.
Dutchie – Pleasure dude. We should hang next time. Falcon mains are generally the best, you didn't break the rule.
Mytus – you did me dirty Sunday. But its okay, we're stronger than that. You're commentary has picked up and your sheik....well my commentary chair is always open for you.
Blue – You're too nice to win a major, you need to be a douche and rub it in other peoples faces.
PCG – One of the highlights of the tournament was when you walked in when I was on mic and I couldn't help but react. Coolest guy. Also, I feel asleep for a second on the associate's desk and he caught me thanks to your “party”. If you weren't such a bad story teller...
Miles – Dude like, everytime, you make me real happy. When I see this guy, every time dude. Everytime.
Codie – Never cheering for you again – you're welcome. PS l2tech
Hughie – My boy. Ty for like, 2 refills of water. Nah but, glad you're always on hand. Bus loved your HoC write up – just ask him
Mackey – My dreams, I'll see you there.
Bus – You helped me so much on mic. You're also a homie.
Daniel – Searching for coffee so ineffectively was actually super calming. TY for your incompetency.
Azri – You're so good. You dumb idiot. x10 . That was fun
Hari – Dude that uni hoodie tech, I see you.
Danog – You always make me feel better when I see you. Its like you seek out to be in my FOV whenever someone asks “when does their pool start?” when I don't know what pool they're in nor do I have anything on me that would tell me.
Tommy – So...have you told Mei about our drunken adventures? Please don't.
Sumeet – Didn't see you on the weekend but Thursday was great. We should team mannnn.
Snoc - Coolest guy. Lets get our cider on next time.
Izzago – I'm sorry about how things went down at the event. I value your efforts and if you want to help out (more) with MM then I'm all for it.
MGK – Lol projector. Enough said about that.
Surgi – Thanks so much for helping move things – it means a lot. If you weren't there I would had lost my mind and probably hurt my back.
Jesse – You know what, I am interested in that team management idea. Pipedream I know, but keep me in mind if things fall into place. Props on your company.
Forte – Nicest guy. And then you troll me. But still, nicest guy.
Ledge, Jei, Dean, Khoa, Viva, Nicks, Earl – Always nice seeing you guys – bring me back to my roots.
CAO – A year ago I said in my SSV shoutout something along the lines of I wanted to emulate you in my smash and professional career. I don't know if I've done that, but I progressed much further in both aspects that I would had ever thought was plausible. Thank you for being such a role model.
Kai – Everyone, this man is amazing. He not only set the ground work for our overlays, he's been helping us with the stream since...forever. The best.
SD – Sorry I don't cheer for you. Sorry our conversations hit the same beats. Sorry I “destroy” you but never beat you. Sorry I didn't get you sponsored. I will work on all of these things – I'm already working on the last one.
DD – thanks for the help at PM. Champ. Drinks sometime?
Hobs – thanks for the constant help with so many different areas. A legend.
Julian – For some reason I was super happy to see you. Didn't expect it but glad it happened. Friendlies?
SA Nick – one of the highlights of the event was driving you with no conviction, confidence, technique or lighting directly and safely to the venue. Oh and Vietnamese covers...oh man. I swear, my mum's car...
RC Jay – Ggs. That much up is tough first time round. You'll get it easy next time.
Jamwa – Why do you play my game for?
Sebby - Why do you play my game for?
Bijou – Thanks for holding down s4 stream for when it was active. Shame about the power. Its through your efforts that will lead the s4 scene to a better place.
EvenStephen – As we've spoken about, its a pleasure to have you commentating – you'll be a bigshot in no time.
Baron – Lol with those opened boxes. Thanks for the help otherwise.
Spud – We're selling the couch you slept on on ebay. We gonna be rich. Tyvm.
Kashan – The yung shoutout
Hugo – Never tell me I'll win anything ever again. <3
Toshi – I know you rarely check the boards. I know you don't Smash much anymore. I'm just writing this for posterity's sake. I enjoy this game the most by far when I'm playing dumb friendlies with you. I would give it all up if we could do that again.
And I'm think I'm done. Not only with the shout outs but TO'ing in general. Time to put some time into other areas of my life. I might come back to organising when things cool down – but if my succession plan works out, we won't need me anyway. I'll still be at events no worries. See you guys there.
When I set it up the screen that the players were playing on wouldn't come on for some reason. Then the projector died right after. What happened to the stream on Day 2 Bijou?
nah he plays friendlies like a ****** dont try save face we all think it@ Splice for the record I don't legitimately think you play lame and I apologise if my whining in friendlies is off putting.
TBH the way you approach friendlies as a chance to practice and improve is much more constructive than my try to swag and be hyper aggressive. It's actually a HUGE flaw that comes out in my tournament play, so if anything I could learn from your approach.
I think full results can be found in the Smashboards ranking section, but some of the pools were entered incorrectly in the challonge bracket that led into final bracket, and some of the actual results can be found in 'BAM Pools 2' challonge (For example, I got 65th or something when I actually got 44th since I beat MC in losers, but the 'BAM Pools' bracket says otherwise and that's where it got it's results from)Seeing as how this was quite a huge tournament for us, we should probably follow suit and put up the full results for each of the smash games.
