I don't know if this has already been discussed, or if anyone cares enough TO discuss it, but how do you guys feel about the movesets for Magolor, Taranza, and Susie that were shown in their trailers for Star Allies?

I'm a little dissapointed with Taranza. I was hoping for him to use stuff from Sectonia's boss fight, so seeing him do his own stuff is a little dissapointing.

Other two are good.

I just realized Kawasaki is a replacement for Kirby's old final smash, since it works the same as that did. Probably doesn't mean anything but it's neat.

I think it's still a thing, since all of the new Kirby content beyond Final Smashes that isn't based on previously existing things (song and PNG files) is still from Sakurai's games. The only new thing is a remix from his game, so I think there's still bias. I will admit it's not a lot to go off of, but it's still there.

The idea of Dee having a charging attack just makes me think of running around with the Pegasus Boots in ALttP for some reason... sounds fun. Any acknowledgment of his Megaton Punch appearance would also be nice, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

Also, some thoughts regarding Spirits.

Spoiler: Please don't take the first one too seriously, even if there's some logic behind it.

Bandana Dee is in a potentially unique position out of the Spirits that could have been considered for DLC. If it turns out that he is the enhanced form of the basic Waddle Dee (which is still unconfirmed), it would be easier to change anything that that might be conflicting than it would be for other characters.

1. He wouldn't have a fight through the Spirits Board or World of Light, so the dev team wouldn't have to change anything there.
2. They could replace his original Spirit with a different Waddle Dee (ex. Parasol Waddle Dee, which hasn't turned up yet). This would free up his RtDL art for a Fighter Spirit without needing to take anything away from players who won't/can't buy the DLC.

Does this effect his odds at all? Nope, but I thought it was interesting enough to share.



Also, Chandeelure , I wouldn't worry about his stats if he turns out to be the enhanced Waddle Dee... it's tied with Kracko and Gooey, hilariously.
All three are Advanced-class (★★☆☆) with three Support slots. Meanwhile the other member of the Waddle family...

Prediction: The gap between every trailer is roughly two days. I'm expecting a trailer for DDD, MK, and BWD to show off their new moves on Nov 24/25, Nov 26/27, Nov 28/29.

Depending on the number of added moves each, they might just show them off together.

I love how the mage trio attack as they move in to swap. Reminds me of tag team fighting games rather than, say, Pokemon Trainer in Smash.

... I just rewatched the Spirits segment that Mr. Sakurai did at Nintendo Live. Enhanced Spirits go up one class and have higher base stats than their original form. Spirits that have an enhanced form also have a silver outline around their type icon.

This proves that there is an enhanced form for the Waddle Dee.
Bandana Dee would end up being a neutral, Ace-class (★★★☆) Spirit with three Support slots... that's really solid.

Unrelated: I'm surprised by how few Pokémon Spirits seem to have enhanced forms? You would think they'd be an obvious choice for it.

I'm gonna be real, I like Marx and all but I didn't realize he even had this much support until Star Allies. For me it's cool that he's in as a boss, considering we don't have Waddle Dee yet. I don't know. No disrespect to Marx fans meant, it just seems like his fanbase just kinda showed up out of nowhere after Star Allies came out and that until then it made the most sense for him to be a boss considering that was his original role.
