Attila: Thank you SO much for housing me over the event weekend, you're such a friendly and awesome guy, was great being around you. Your Snake scares me...and I never have problems against Snakes. Your use of grenades to cover yourself was especially good.

Nido: Thanks for teaming with me, we'll do better next time. Your Ness is really good and kept me on my toes the whole time I was playing you. That MM we had turned around really fast, you had me really worried there!
Keep up the good work! Was really great to meet and play you in person, better than lagfi anyday.

Luco: You've got to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met...you're friendly, bright, and great to be with! You really surprised me with how good you are, I love your playstyle to bits- aggressive and flashy yet smart. Hope to meet you again soon, you definitely deserve to be on a PR.

Jei: Awesome Yoshi dittos, even better Pit you've got there. You really inspire me to use him more in friendlies, hardly touch him anymore Your WOIC cancels were beyond impressive and effective.
We need to get more Yoshi dittos in next time, hopefully some recorded too, still sorta undetermined who's the better Yoshi, huh...when are you coming down to Adelaide next?

Hey Grim can I ask you the truth of your forfeit... if that's okay, I mean... I just can't fathom you going into pro just to forfeit and originally I thought it was me but Splice says otherwise so i'm genuinely curious... if you don't want to answer, that's kay too. :o

SD, are you uploading the matches on the 'Shadowlogic' wiis?

I'm remembering more now but I think the wii my match with Dekar was saved on was the one with a picture of Stantler or a similar poké on it?

The night before the tournament I did not sleep; this adversely affected my performance and mood on the Sunday to the point where I wasn't enjoying the game at all. I forfeited both games after my first round, but was encouraged by Splice (<3) to play through the Melee bracket anyway.

This is the reason I didn't use Ice Climbers, my main, in Melee (I heard a few people say "Why is he using Peach?") - and my attempts at using other characters led to a lot of ridiculous full-hopping, as you can see in my match vs. Joey. This is also the reason I didn't attempt to edge-hog Joey, or mix up my playstyle at all, I was too worried I'd somehow mess up and get punished hard for it.

Worrying about messing up is a huge inhibitor in melee. Stick to your guns and go for it, go down swinging rather than wonder what might have been. On a side note, I can respect the decision to forfeit if you're really not feeling it on the day or whatever, but if you want to quit out I was recommend doing it BEFORE playing any bracket matches. Would have been skeezy to knock Tom into losers then forfeit out lol.

I'm uploading what was recorded from the projector in bracket. I don't have the time (or anything that resembles the will) to go through consoles to find pools matches that you alone would watch. I scarcely have the time to sync/upload what was recorded... I have... you know... a life. But you're young and enthusiastic, so you're forgiven for you naivety.

Actually overall there were like way too many brawl matches recorded. Realistically apart from top 4, maybe 8, those other games will get precious few views. Melee had like 6 sets recorded.

I remember when I was young and enthusiastic, actively watching every video that came from every tournament... Find it hard to believe I've been going to tournaments for more than four years now.

I think the initial plan was to have the Brawl top 8 (might have been top 6) recorded.
But since Brawl was on the projector for most of the morning people just thought that 'may as well record it'.
Don't have to upload the earlier matches if you don't wish to, like I don't think people would want to watch Jei planking me for eight minutes or anything like that.

Maybe I should get a proper capture card, I have a JB Hi-Fi gift card that needs to be used...
