When you have a thread in a forum...
You need to prove why the thread is useful for it to be remove-worthy
The removing person doesn't need a reason to remove it if it isn't serving any current purpose.
Plus your reason not to close it and accusation at Shaya are just pitiful and uncalled for.

Still, Shaya, just because no-one from VIC has put their hand up, we dont have confirmation/disconfirmation if anyone is still keen to do this. If not then definitely close it, the discussion can be moved to general brawl discussion anyway, ...and probably should have been in the first place.

What I don't understand is, how the hell something shaya already admitted (that he dislikes the thread) made what I said feel like I such an 'attack' or whatever. Sorry if it seemed that way.

And I wasn't arguing that 'it deserves to be open' per se, but that 'it doesn't deserve to be closed', which I think is a difference enough. If you lock the thread, the chances of people being inclined to volunteer is even smaller, I think. I dunno why you don't just moderate the off topic posts, so that a completely valid thread, and the possibility that someone from Vic volunteers stays alive.

Also under that logic splice, any dead threads should be locked, because they're not serving any purpose. They're not though, because someone in the future may decide to say something else on that topic, I don't see why this has to be different, just because a 'few' are going off topic. Mostly people that don't even care or normally post much anymore anyway.
