Semi-unrelated: I'm having trouble with getting back onstage with a Marth on edgeguard duty. I'm aware of invincwaveland, but I always manage to find myself getting mindgamed into a tipper of a grab. If neither, i'm spaced just right for his wavedash in so I chicken back to the edge.

Any suggestions are welcome, maybe even up for subtopic? o:

I'll be going to Apex as well, might break out my Pika for teams, but I doubt it.


Also, I've never really seen the people doing the trash talk on the Pika boards, which would explain why we never see trash talk here in general.

idk if intentional but you quoted a post from 2009 lol

try invuln ledgedashing into other things like shield, spotdodge, immediate dash shffl nair, etc.
watch what he goes for at certain spacings from the edge. esp if you feel that marth is going in for an attack you can turn it around
don't be too scared of marth since he can't really punish you that hard by the edge if you di well and arent at high %

if all else fails recover deep into the stage onto a platform and pray. but ideally use your good edge options and manage your invulnerability better

for something gimmicky do the perfect height horiztonal upb from the edge to stun him a bit and land with low lag. i wouldnt suggest this personally but it might work once or twice in a match

edit: on a sidenote, ftilt clinks with fsmash and can stuff badly spaced grabs
ive tried to use tilts vs marth more at rom5 and its pretty gud

I had always thought that it was just Eric and Tico, had no idea there was anyone else lol. My falco is like alright I guess lol. I don't play it quite as much as I used to so it's a bit odd. Sometimes I'll like 4 stock eric (any character) and other games I'll barely win lol. Dunno if tonight would really work for me unfortunately . But if anything is happening on friday I'd be down to play for sure. I haven't played with anyone since rom <_<.

I think I feel more comfortable as Pika vs Falco than Samus vs. Falco. I feel trapped in my shield with Samus too often against Falco.

I thought samus' Up B was arguably the best out of shield option in the game though. I know it bothers the hell out of me at least lol.

@smuckers yea actually that would be cool if you uploaded them. i did a little theroybros'ing from falco's side a long time ago and didn't really apply any of it in our matches unfortunately, but having more footage of myself is always cool

if i remember correctly i think we caught each other's falcos with really basic pika things over and over, just weren't used to it happening to ourselves

And I am down to hyping it up for apex I am just not sure how Knut feels about this. (I am down for pretending we hate each other /they hate each other and hype this up as a huge grudge match).

And on them being unknown, this may be true but knuts samus is kinda insane and one of these days I could see him exploding onto the scene as a top samus.
