Back in my day I had to get up at 4am and walk all the way to the post office (got there at 3pm), buy some stamps, write a letter saying "SEND ME SOME GUNBUSTER WITH AN ENGLISH SCRIPT (*****es technology had no easy way to add subs), HERE IS 0.50cents TO COVER POSTAGE COSTS/VIDEO COSTS (oh the days before inflation)".
THEN I HAD TO WALK BACK TO MY HOME (11pm). WAIT A MONTH, GET ACCUSED BY THE POLICE OF IMPORTING OBCENE PORNOGRAPHY, GO TO JAIL, BE MUTILATED BY VARIOUS PEOPLES, THEN WHEN I GOT OUT I COULD THEN ENJOY MY GUNBUSTER ON MY 20CM CRT TV IN BLACK AND WHITE PAUSING EVERY COUPLE OF SECONDS SO I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE SAYING".

3 Questions
1. What do you do against a Snake that spams FTilt
2. If you counter a sweetspotted attack (lightning kick, tipper FSmash) does the counter damage increase accordingly?
3. How should one practice if one has no human opponents?

1. Properly space your aerials, and everything else for that matter. (aka, hit him where he cant hit you)
2. Yes, because the counter ratio is 1.1 for Marth, I believe (though I could be wrong)
3. Practice on a low level computer, just for practing your strings and how you flow your moves together. It's better than fighting perfect robots (level 9s) who powershield everything.

Actually, against Snake's Ftilt, I suggest you dtilt and perfect shield. [Dtilt outranges all of his attacks on the ground, other than the second hit of ftilt.]
Great players will perfect shield just about everything you do too...

Anyways, are you saying that if you perfect shield Snake's Ftilt, he has time to perfect shield all punishment? If not, then you're post is unnecessary.
I was replying to the "3. Practice on a low level computer, just for practing your strings and how you flow your moves together. It's better than fighting perfect robots (level 9s) who powershield everything."
LV9 CPUs don't powershield everything in Brawl. They're a lot more randomly imperfect than they were in Melee.

Ken Combo doesn't exist in Brawl.

If you are looking for combos then you are looking at the wrong character. The only infinites are the grab release on ness/lucas and the dtilt lock on certain stages like Onett and delfino plaza. As for combos, marth has none. There are NO easy wins with marth, you dont get to spam a "win buttton".

Clarity, thy name is Backlash. If anything i just rolled all of the semi-flaming he would have recieved into one convenient post. The sooner you have your illusions purged, the sooner you can start actually "playing marth".

fix'd. Also, my question is: The third hit of DB on down hit. What are some good follow ups from that hit? I sometimes to shield DS to retaliate against a charging opponent, but I want to know if there's anything with good frame speed advantage that can pop out of the third down hit.
