Well, definitely hope you make it. Won't be an epic Pika gathering without Stealth. <3

Dang I went to Dallas :(

If it is as hyped as it seems, you might be left in the dust....
Then, I'll just play smash.
Learning games isn't hard. Press buttons to make colors flash on the screen. If it's as hyped as it seems, I'll learn it through the internet and possibly just get it.

Which at this point in time is fairly likely. :p

It's easy to get, but hard to put into use. There's lots of theories and stuff, then you gotta study the physics of the blocks in each level.

Yes, I'm making it seem more in depth than it really is.

Tetris Attack doesn't have pokemon screamin and attackin each other, trainers taunting the other, cool pokemon 2000 soundtrack (which sounds amazing). I'd play PPL anyday over tetris attack. IT HAS POKEMON AND PIKACHU! (= upgraded)

Just another day.
While it had the fun stuff outside of the gameplay, TA had a much better and stronger combo system than PPL. The developers did like one edit in the game and it ****ed up a decent portion of the combo system. And TUSM is right. Bowser always spammed "BLARG" when he did something. The characters definitely screamed at each other, but neither game attacked each other.

Combo system? I feel like the biggest nerd on the planet asking this, but elaborate please? The only real difference in gameplay I noticed was the "lag" in 2P battles.

In TA, you could squeeze in blocks just before they fell down as long as the block could fit in where you were going. In PPL, they made an invisible wall where you couldn't do that anymore. So when you rushed to place a block in front of the falling one, the game would restrict it if you were too late while TA would allow it as long as you had the block physically there before the falling block passes it.

you can still fit in blocks under falling blocks o.o hell you can switch the block with a falling block if you timed it correctly. i broke a couple puzzles doing that lololol

I have got to say though. We had PPL goin' near the end of my last smashfest. Misty's voice in that game has got to be the most annoying sound ever made. lol

Of course you can still do it, but the how fluid it was when doing it in a real tight moment, PPL would lock up and stop you from doing it.

as far as i could tell from the game, it would lock up the instant that the following block first hit the pixel of the block to the side of the block you want to switch out, seemed natural to me

I like TA more. It was the first version I played. =)
Did anyone know that the original Japanese version had faeries and such for the characters instead of the Yoshi ones. I guess it was too girly for the US so they threw Yoshi characters in so it could sell.

Bingo. that's what I always thought.

I like to drop a block off of a column, then switch it again while it's falling. If you do it right, you can make it look like the block is going down invisible stairs. I call it the Air-Walk.

Roller, you can add me to the list of people giving rides. I can drive our Pikas living around the city or northern Jersey. I can also pick people up from the airport near the venue.

And I'm looking forward to the Pika dinner. I am expecting that it comes with cheese. Lots and lots of cheese.

Great to hear Neji! And E, I added that to the OP. But one question I have is if you'd be able to pick anyone up from the airport a couple days before the tourney, like I believe Wednesday at least Leaf and FZ are most likely flying in. And we're still working out the details of how to get them to my place [in Union County (North NJ)].

If you can't that's completely cool. Just had to ask.

EDIT: 2 other announcements.

PLEASE READ.

1st, I know I mentioned that my parents said people will have to be out fairly early on Monday. They have now said everyone must be out the door by 12:00pm.

2nd, I will be on a trip for the next 2 weeks starting tomorrow night. Whitewater rafting in CO, then doing a ~100mi trek in NM. So I apologize but I wont be able to answer any questions until 12th-13th of July. If they are questions about the airport/train nearby or anything else about my area I'm sure MXXD can answer your questions. He lives a hop, jump, and a skip away from me. I'll answer anything I see unanswered when I get back.
